I am truly awful at dieting on my own and would like to lose about 2 stone to get back to pre pregancy weight. Would anyone like to join me? I am not going near cakes, crisps, chocolate and sweets as they are my downfall so I will have to go cold turkey!

Starbear, sorry to hear about your gran Please, don't be ahamed about your weight gain, if you look on your thread which you so kindly created, we all have ups and downs and we will be delighted to hear from you. I keep saying that the thread you have created is my favourite out of all threads (sorry girls on this thread, i like it too but Starbear's is a very special thread and I found my best internet friend Fimbles on that thread). September is easier then any Summer month as our kids are back to school and crisps and biscits they so kindly try to offer us are not as often issue now. We can do it!

Starbear · 02/09/2008 08:30

Thank you Fedda. I'll climb back on the wagon. Speak soon. Must go now and help my out see ya!

fedda · 02/09/2008 19:26

See you, Starbear.

Can I join in? I am half a stone heavier than pre pregnancy (10 months ago!). Currently 9 stone 6 but used to be 8 1/2 stones once upon a time. None of my pre preg clothes fit me anymore and I'm fed up living in rubbish Primark stuff (I keep holding off spending money on better stuff 'cos I'm going to lose weight')

I'm going to cut out the crap I eat every night like the family size bags of Revels and tubs of Pringles (mmmmmmmmmmm....). Also plan on returning to longer walks with DS and not just 10 minute ones.

fedda · 03/09/2008 12:04

Warmest welcome, ILikeYourSleeves. I feel you will achieve brilliant results by just cutting out stuff you have at night and you will notice the results very early on - if you are like me (can't be without snacks at night) berries and fruit are a very good alternative (works for me for sure when I stick to it). Anyway, good luck

Hi everyone, how has today been? I've just finished watching a film called 'Into the Wild' which was brilliant, sadly ending with the guy starving to death (it's a true story about a guy trying to survive in the wild in Alaska)- but it's made me RAVENOUS! I am proud to say though that despite a very rumbly belly I haven't had anything since dinner. Off to bed now before I raid the cupboard

Has everybody disappeared?

Had another good day but I'm really hungry as I write this. I'm so tempted to get the bag of toffee popcorn that is sitting calling me from the kitchen, but I won't!!! I had a big dinner too, spag carbonara and garlic bread but that was about 6pm. This not eating at night is hard!

Is there anybody alive out there?

fedda · 04/09/2008 22:22

Just about. I feel hungry too and I had chili con carne with rice (didn't go wor grated cheese though). I think I need a cuppa now.

ILikeYourSleeves · 04/09/2008 22:36

Well done Fedda, I had loads of parmasan on my spag carb but it tasted so good! Just had some diluting juice (sugar free) and am off to bed before that popcorn gets me.

Starbear · 05/09/2008 12:33

I will join in next week. Before I disappear again. Question for everyone. When do you fit in exercise into your day??? Just interested to hear the various answers and see if any of them might suit me.

ILikeYourSleeves · 05/09/2008 17:42

Hi Starbear, today my exercise was a half hour brisk walk with the pram (about 1 km of that was uphill too) and I also strolled around the shops but don't think that counts, or maybe it does...?

I've never been one for exercise, I hate it really and never been a gym member etc but I find that walking and general stuff like housework etc is enough. eg today I mowed the lawn too so that prob burned some calories up.

fedda · 05/09/2008 22:31

Starbear, my excersise is to have school runs and to walk briskly, I don't do gyms unless I stay in teh hotel so my housework and school runs keep me going.
