Thank you so much 3andnomore - you are right, I never "joined" SW as such, just borrowed all the books off my SIL and she used to give me the password for the website. Once I got into it, it became a way of life. Not sure whether my willpower will hold out during pregnancy though. If find it the only time I don't have to panic so indulge and enjoy it. Maybe I should leave it until after DC3 is born...

By the way, how do you find 3 children? Was it hard going from 2 to 3? Only 16.5 months between DD2 and DC3 so I am a bit worried.

3andnomore · 28/08/2008 10:10

well pgwn3, just looked on the website and in the booklet, and there is nothing specific in there....it just says to food optinmise as normal and make sure you get plenty of calcium, etc....
it's only when bf that you get extra allowence....

Hm, as for how I find having 3...personally I did find it difficult. But it was probably because I had 6 1/2 years between es and ms, so,that seemed easy enough. But there was only 21month between ms and ys, and I did find that hard...but my ms is very active, so, that probably didn't help. Also, we moved to Northern Ireland at the beginning of the pg and moved back to England when ys was about 4 month old....so, that added some stress....and ys was a dificult, oversensitive and unsettled Baby, constantly crying....
they are now 5 1/2 and 4 and it is easier now (although, not right now...what with it being Holidays)...
Hopefully I have not scared you to much.
I know most people find that for them going from 1 to 2 was the hard thing and after that the Kids just slot in....everyone is different!

Nemoandthefishes · 28/08/2008 11:31

pg with number 3 I havd a 12mth gap between DD1 and DD2 and its been fine. Bit testing sometimes as they are now 19mths and 2.7yrs so fight A LOT and also with ds thrown in the mix it is a bit hectic as he is 5 in oct...lol At least he is starting school full time in a couple of weeksCant be that bad as we are TTc no.4 hence am here trying to loose weight..lol

Well done justneedsomesleep..keep it up and you will have your 2 stone!!

pgwithnumber3 · 28/08/2008 12:11

Thank you for going out of your way 3andnomore. From memory, I think you add 1/2 HEA to up your calcium level and use 15 syns.

I think the summer holidays kill you, I am well ready for DD1 to go back, also DD2 will be ready for nursery a couple of days a week once she is 2 so that will help. You just have to get on with it don't you!? Hard though.

pgwithnumber3 · 28/08/2008 12:12

Thanks nemo! 12mth gap - you must be MAD! I think twins must be easier because you can at least try to get them to sleep the same times etc

3andnomore · 28/08/2008 12:31

well...if you worried about calcium, best way to add calcium via the dairy route is to ewat plenty of fat free yoghurts
but, as you are att target anyway...then you can probably add more HE's anyway....

I think you only add extra HE's for Bresstfeeding....

hm...but twins could wake eachother up....

heavy · 28/08/2008 12:32

hi everyone. Lost 1.5 lbs this week. Only a pound to go now to get that stone award.
3anm, I do find a countdown helps, I was hoping to get to final target on two 12 week countdowns but can't really decide what final target should be. Am 5ft 4 and a bit. Can't remember the last time I weighed under 10 stone. Losing 2.5 stone would get me to 9st13 but a thinking 3stone loss to 9st 6 would be ideal really - will see how I feel when i get nearer. Would probably like to have lost 2 stone by Christmas.

Can't understand the slimming world website - my graph keeps going until it reaches the minimum acceptable weight (maybe because I haven't set a target on it yet?)

nappyaddict · 28/08/2008 12:38

does anyone know a free pasta sauce that isn't tomatoey?

3andnomore · 28/08/2008 12:40

hm...that is possible heavy! Today I was able to put my weight in for this week...but only the one slot came up...

oh, and well done on osing 1 1/2 Ibs....

I am 5'6 and set my target at 9 st.....the lowest acceptable weight for me would be 8st12...

nappyaddict · 28/08/2008 12:41

this looks good

3andnomore · 28/08/2008 12:56

this one sounds nice

Pinkjenny · 28/08/2008 13:10

Gutted. I've just eaten a Weight Watchers Bolognese bake for lunch. (i thought there was no meat in it until I opened it at work!!) Its 7 bloody syns on a green day and I've already had a Special K bar which is 4.5. So I'm already at 11.5 today.

Omelette for tea.

I'm trying not to get into my old habits of pasta n sauce all the time, but it's gone a bit wrong!

Ledodgy · 28/08/2008 13:13

PinkJeny you know you can count your syns weekly rather than daily don't you? So you can have 70-105 syns per week. I never count them daily and always count them weekly and have lost nearly 4 stone.

3andnomore · 28/08/2008 13:14

lol...couscous is super easy to prepare...most will only require you to have a kettle/access to boiling water
And you cna add whatever you like with it...Pineapple chinks are lovely mixed through it

3andnomore · 28/08/2008 13:15

ledodgy...if you count weekly you only have 70syns per week...well, that was what I was told by SW consultant....and that is what I am doing

Pinkjenny · 28/08/2008 13:16

I know, but I am such a greedy fat face that if I do it that way I'll eat 70 syns on the first day.

Ledodgy · 28/08/2008 13:16

You can have 10-15 syns a day or 70-105 per week. You'll probably lose more weight at 70 syns a week but will still lose on 105.

3andnomore · 28/08/2008 13:17

ledodgy... only going by what sw consultant told me....she said if you count them weekley you shouldn't have more than 70 per week...obviously 105 sounds much nicer ...might actually try that and see how that works for me

Ledodgy · 28/08/2008 13:18

Honestly it makes nod diifernce if you have 15 syns a day or 105 per week you've still had the same amount of syns.

Ledodgy · 28/08/2008 13:18

*difference

Ledodgy · 28/08/2008 13:19

I have all my syns at the weekend.
