Hi girls

Hi claire, you may have already gone?, but hope you havea nice time anyway

RG shame owrk is quiet, make sure you take stuff to sack on, if your anything like me thats the worst time for munchies!, when your bored!..day was fine but hectic had a bit of a at home time for one though, thank god his mam was actually there..he(3yr old with VIVID imagination) said i'd just pushed him and burst into tears!!!!!!..him mum was actually at door though as another parent was just leaving!.OMG things like this can cause so much trouble!..se did make him apologise though but still ..he says things about his mam and dad(not together) all the time, which i know to take with pince of salt as he likes to make things up, but i hate anything like this, all it takes is one ounce of doubt..anyway, he's here /coming this morn, will see mum about it, just SO glad she was stood there!

Hey Five!, well done!, thats fantastic..bet you were over the moon

well my love hate relationship with mr scales is back on..kind of..this morn..they show 14 st 10 1/2 now, i feel lighter(TOTM wise) yesterday i was so heavy and bloated as i havent had TOTm for 2-3 months..will be eating back to normal today, shopping tonight and have till tues morn to get another pound or two shifted, would like 7 off (before TOTM id lost 5 last week, so 2 this week seems reasonable?)

anyway, off to find dd some diff trousers, shes grown out of ANOTHER pair..miss daddy long legs!

RGPargy · 08/08/2008 11:43

Five - well done on your 4lbs!! Brilliant start, keep it up.

Pink - Just as well you were standing there when that little boy said that!! Like you say, it just takes an ounce of doubt......

PinkChick · 08/08/2008 11:46

RGPargy · 08/08/2008 12:01

Hiya Pink, yeah i'm a work today (boo hiss!!). Feeling quite knackered today as DD had me up at 4.30am and then 5.30am. Think she was cold when she woke up the first time but i didn't think to cover her over again and just stuck her dummy in. Feel bad now! Diet-wise, i've been good too. I even saved 1 point yesterday too so that's 5 points i've saved so far, which is good because i'm going out for a meal tomorrow night so i can have a little bit of leeway. Not alot, but a little lol.

Going out to lunch in a minute to get some air. Being tired and sat down in an office and being bored does not go well together. It can equal disaster of the snoring kind!!!

As for swimsuits, not on your life mister!! I'd love to take Ellie swimming but i'm toooo worried about going in my swimsuit. Another reason to stick to WW so that i can take her while she's young so she doesn't get too freaked out about it when she gets older. Plus i want to try out those swimpants. (On HER, not me!!).

PinkChick · 09/08/2008 13:26

Ta-daaaaaaa..ive just been shopping and bought two fitted skirts in SIZE 18 and a pair of demin knee lengh shorts for hol SIZE 16>

OP posts:
PinkChick · 09/08/2008 13:29

HEy RG, sorry missed your post there..glad your having good week and hope your meal out tonight is fab

my friend is same about swimming, she drives miles to swim so no one knows her..but shes still the same person going swimming??..im the kind who thinks sod it, yes my arse is wobbling and causing tidle wave but the only nasty aprt is getting in and getting out, so make that quick and enjoy the swimming/playing in water with dd inbetween...was very odd when we bumped into mindee and parents in there one day though..was like oh my god, im one layer away from being neked!

ChirpyGirl · 09/08/2008 20:51

HI girls, sounds like you are all doing well, good job!

I am not talking about this past week as due to period issues, DD1 having nightmares and surviving full of unfamiliar hormones on veyr little sleep I have stuffed my face slipped up ona few occasions.

Tomorrow is another day though, and I am off to my mum's next week so she won't let me get away with it!

keep up the good work, x

RGPargy · 10/08/2008 12:00

Chirpy - i dont think you're the only one that's had a bad week! I had a chinese on Friday night and an indian last night and then i wonder why the scales are saying i weigh more and more and more?!!!

Weigh day tomorrow and it's really not looking good lol. MUST GET MY HEAD ROUND IT AGAIN!!!!

PinkChick · 10/08/2008 20:21

Hi Girls..well i had a lovely takeaway last night, totally bad for me but instead of having one to myself (it was a parmo, so worst poss takeaway!..pork, bread crumbs and lots of scheese) i ordered one large and i had 1/3 and dp had the 2/3.. i also had no chips and all the salad..i was stuffed and thoroughly enjoyed it
Just got on scales and im back down to 14st 10lb tonight (so totm weight has almost gone?!) and am hoping today and monday with edge the scales even lower even by 1 lb by tues

Could I come and join you please? I have loads to lose still, although I have been very good since March and lost about 10kg (22 lbs).

Boring background - please skip if you find yourself yawning or if you've heard it all before (I have whinged about it on here quite a lot). I have PCOS and have been overweight for ages, it goes up and down a little but generally I've been the same weight for about 6 years. In March my BMI was 38 and we were due to go to panel to be approved as adoptors, but on the advice of social services medical advisor our social worker withdrew us because of my weight. Since then I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and have been prescribed Metformin (which is also sometimes used to help women with PCOS lose weight). At Easter I gave up work for various reasons so now have quite a lot of time on my hands in term time. I started seeing a personal trainer in May who is lovely if rather sadistic and am now fitter than I have been for at least a decade.

So, how does this work then? Do I post my weekly loss on a certain date? Does every kick each other to make them good or is it a bit of a love fest? (I hope it's the latter. )

PinkChick · 10/08/2008 21:22

Hiya Bran..you sound like you've had quite a struggle!..hope the new tabs and your isntructer along with us..help you along!

we just do what we do, pick our day to be weighed(some go to ww or sw so have those days), i go to doc every second tues so i then put in my loss for that week then my total loss..dead easy

Maternaltouch · 10/08/2008 21:30

Hi can I join? I've been (back) on the Neris and India's Idiot Proof Diet for 12 days now and have lost 7lbs. I have 10 stone to lose though so in for a long, long haul.

Jenny

mamadiva · 10/08/2008 21:39

Hello all sorry I don't tend to get on here that much but weighed myself last night and have lost another 2lbs. Along way to go but hey ho 2lbs off! HOw is everypne?

Ags · 10/08/2008 21:49

Hi Bran - I lurked on your previous thread about being put forward for adoption and was very and for you. Having been extremely overweight before, during and after pregnancy, the fairness of your situation eludes me! Well done on the fitness thing! Again, another thing that eludes me! I have got to get that sorted. Dd starts pre-school two mornings a week in Sept and that is the time I have earmarked for my exercise revolution! Welcome to this thread. It is a total mixture of butt kicking and love festing! But even the butt kicking is fairly loving so doesn't feel too bad.

Hi Maternal/Jenny. Welcome to you too. WEll done on being (back) on the diet! Sounds like me - a serial dieter! I too, had almost ten stones to lose when I started (again) in Jan and now have four to go! Seriously, if I can do it, so can anyone. I am 36 years old, have been fat for my entire life so I never thought I would be able to do this. How are you managing with Neris and India? I read the book (a friend had it) but went back to weight watchers because it was so familiar.

Pink, as a slinky size 16, you can probably have a large choice of swimwear but I did get a lovely cossie from Evans on which everyone has complemented me. It is a nightmare round here with loads of people taking children to the same swimming lessons and plenty of sociable people throwing pool play dates for the children! Absolutely no chance to hide! It is black, (natch!)halter neck with a sort of belt and buckle effort under the boobs. Immensely flattering and makes my boobs look brill.

RG, keep with it love! Tomorrow a new week begins and you can begin again.

Five, brilliant first week loss! You must be delighted.

Chirpy, good luck for this week. Hope that you manage fewer slip-ups (face stuffings!)!!

Maternaltouch · 10/08/2008 22:37

Thanks Ags, your weight loss is a real inspiration. I'm doing fine with the N&I IPD, I'm a total meathead so being able to eat lots of protein really helps. I'm making myself cook lots of recipes from the book though as last time I slipped into a really boring routine of eating the same thing and eventually crashed and burned! I love having bacon and eggs for breakfast and after 4 days or so my appetite and cravings just disappear. Let's see if I can stick to it this time.

RGPargy · 10/08/2008 23:42

Hi everyone, just checking in to say hi. I have been semi-good today. Ate some toast for breakfast and then nothing until about 4pm-ish when i had a back of S&V snack a jacks. Had steak and jacket spud for tea but then had TWO aero chocolate mousses, two smirnoff ices and half a jacques cider thing. Arse bandits. I really really need to get on track, but sometimes it doesn't help when DP even THINKS about getting some beer in or cider or something like that because i'm always game for a bevvie!! I think my main downfall at the moment is not doing any exercise. With DD being so changeable at the moment, i just dont find the time to do any, plus it can be soooo hot at the moment, especially in our conservatory (my dedicated fitness room lol). I know they are just excuses after excuses and i cant really justify them, but for some reason i just feel a bit "stuck" where i am. I'm desperate to lose weight but something inside is holding me back for some reason. Perhaps it's the thought of having saggy skin yet again and what's the point of losing weight if my skin is just going to hang there in unattractive folds??

Bah, sorry for the rant - just had to get it out of my head. Thanx if you read it, sorry if bored you lol.

RGPargy · 10/08/2008 23:43

Sorry, forgot to say hello and welcome to Bran and Maternal. Hope you enjoy this thread as much as we do!

ChirpyGirl · 11/08/2008 07:45

Hi Bran and Maternal, I am hoping for a better day today (one at a time) my problem is that I have 2dd's, am sahm and have no spare cash so not sure how/where to get exercise. dd1 wont go in buggy, dd2 (on lap at mo hence typing ) is mobile and very nosy and i have no family nearby to watch them.
so who has tips for exercise in the home? I cant do 'brisk walks' as my disgustingly healthy brother says cos dd1 walks at toddler pace!

PinkChick · 11/08/2008 08:45

Morning everyone

Ags LOL im hardly a skinny 16!, more like a lucky to be in a 16..i will check out evans bathers today, but havent seen anything in our so far, saw a very long tankini top in new look yesterday but would still be concious of it riding up to reveal gut!

will be wearing my new jeans to town today..i need a jeacket as i have 2, one denim one that ive had for 10 years! and a beige one that was trendy 4 year ago when i bought it but is SO untrendy now..also both are quite big (i could never even fasten them before!) so they look daft, just want something jackety to throw on.hmmmm

have a good day every one, pop back in later.xxxxxxxx
