I do feel like the odd one out when i go out, so i know what you mean. when i was thin i was out all the time and loved it. I was quite the social butterfly! obviously i didn't have DD back then so life was a bit easier lol.

FairyMel · 18/10/2008 10:16

I used to go out on the razz and not give a stuff what people thought... now though the thought fills me with dread!!

We've come up with a good solution so that we can see our friends without getting babysitters (married couple who also have young kids). Once every fortnight the boys stay in one house playing XBox while my us girls stay in the other drinking wine gossiping about the men! It works really well.

Unfortunatly last night I couldnt resist the call of the Ginger buns that I bought for the children

RiallyEeRiaee · 19/10/2008 15:06

I made the mistake of filling my house with Other Peoples Children today. I have had a toastie to reward myself. And I'm taking them all to church

And I have a really bizarre urge to bake a cake...

RiallyEeRiaee · 20/10/2008 15:44

after a week of quorn sausages I have lost the grand total of ... NOTHING.
I know I was a bit naughty with the etc at the weekend, but it's NOT FAIR.

1lb would have done, just to make me feel I was getting somewhere.

RGPargy · 20/10/2008 21:28

Sorry to hear you've not lost Ria Dont be disheartened tho, it might jsut be the weight of food in yoru tummy and you just need a good poo or something hehehe!

Keep at it luv and hopefully you'll see a loss next week.

Dont want to brag but i lost 2lbs this week. (sorry Ria!)

My scales have run out of batteries again (2 sets of batteries in a week!) which makes me think that my scales are buggered. I'm going to take this as a sign that i should weigh myself every day and make sure i work hard at trying to lose for the next weigh in on Monday.

RiallyEeRiaee · 20/10/2008 21:46

well done on your loss RG.

TMI but my innards are coming out just fine

I feel so crap I've made a Drs appt. I may get laughed out of the surgery, but I just don't seem as if I can do it on my own so I am going to take the biggest most embarrassing step ever and ask for help.

I have bought some tights and am going to wear a skirt though. To try and cheer myself up.

RGPargy · 20/10/2008 21:49

I dont think it's embarrassing Ria and you certainly wont get laughed out of the surgery! I'm sure your GP will be sympathic towards you!

RiallyEeRiaee · 20/10/2008 22:04

I really hope so RG. I admit I deserve to fail when I don't try, but I did try hard. In defiance I am not eating quorn this week!!! smaller portions for me and all things in moderation. Just for a couple of days.

RGPargy · 20/10/2008 22:15

I know exactly how you feel. I have found tho that my problem is snacking. I may have loads of stuff which is low in points, but my trouble is that i tend to eat one of everything in one sitting, which means i use about 10 points on crap, then go over on my meals etc. I decided to not buy the snacky bits at the WW meeting today just to see how i get on this week by just snacking on a couple of breadsticks if i feel the need.

Good luck for this week and keep positive!

Hi GIrls ..how have you all been??..just trying to catch up on here, but heard its quiet across slimming boards?

had a wonderful holiday, put on 5 1/2lbs in the week(food was boody delicious!,... steaks, sauces, potatoes so on AND ESP the cakesYummm!) but got back down to 14st 3 lbs at weekend so managed to lose 4 lbs just under 2 weeks..however i have been terrible since i got back, havent been taking tabs as i should, got weighed at nurse last week and i was the same as before i went on her scales, so that was good, but as i am struggling she said i could have the higher dose! as she knows i can do it and needs a kick(start) again..soo...took first one this morn, eat like a fat pig yesterday so wasnt hungry anyway, so trying hard to 'feel' the tabs and just now head felt a 'little bit high' LOL...so theyre back!...we go away again in just over 5 weeks, so would like to get down to 13st 7 lbs by that time..so 10lbs = 2lb a week.
Have to go see same nurse for pill on thurs so no doubt shell weigh me then (but panicking as ill have jeans on and they weigh me more LOL) and i can see if theyve kicked in again!

So i hope you lot get back on here again so we can kick eachothers butts!...9 weeks to christmas..it doesnt matter how much we lose, i really just want to lose 'something' every week till then!..who's with me?????????.xxxxx

countPINKCHICKula · 21/10/2008 12:03

FairyMel · 21/10/2008 12:41

Hope all goes well at the docs Ria.

My eldest dd (5) has had a sicky bug so I havent been about... have been too busy washing sheets, pyjamas and scrubbing carpets! .
All going okish this week apart from the fact that yet again I havent had much chance to exercise. We are away for a long weekend this week and then its dh's birthday so giving ourselves a few days off. Next week we will be back on the wagon and trying really hard!!

RiallyEeRiaee · 21/10/2008 13:46

scrubbing carpets counts as exercise in my book!

FairyMel · 21/10/2008 14:19

Ahh you have a point there Ri lol. Especially at 2am! I mean I'd normally be asleep so in actual fact I suppose I did more than usual pmsl.

Both dd's are now asleep so I'm enjoying a brew and a game of scrabble on FB in peace!

countPINKCHICKula · 21/10/2008 20:21

Had a hi lights drink and 2 boiled (sugar free) sweets with sugar free huice and milk for drinks!
I really feel better knowing i had a half good day..will be even busier tomorrow as wed, thur, fri are my caotic days and im here there and everywere..twice!...so might tone up a bit too!.

Have a good evening girls.xxx

RGPargy · 21/10/2008 20:55

Pink - hi and welcome back! Glad you had a good holiday. Double dose tablets?? Blimey you must be mad! They're evil! Evil, i say! EEEVVVIIILLLLLLLLL!!!!

Ria - good luck for tomorrow. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Mel - sorry about you having to clean up sick and god knows what else! Not pleasant! hope DD is better soon.

I'm going to try and persuade DP to let me join a gym again. I want to join one that i can use at work and at home too, but of course that means it'll cost more. The last time i joined a gym i never went because they really really pissed us off with their inefficient and crap service so i wont ever join them again (Fitness First). I'm looking into LA Fitness (around £50 a month - yikes) or Bannatynes, which is alot more per month i think, but i wont be able to use it at home as there isn't one close to home, but it's much closer to my work. Think i'll have to have a show round both of them and see what happens - providing DP says yes of course!!
