I’m up and doing some housework. Watch is charging tho so trying not to move too much 🤣🤣

Out for a reggae day party with my friend later which will be fun 😁 so hopefully will bang some steps in there

I've woken up to @WorthySlothcheesy chips and @Droopydroopingdroppedadvert olympics. Think I'm going to magpie both those ideas!!

😂 agreed!

Clearingaspace · 17/10/2026 15:22

I feel such a dope! I might be talking too soon but I noticed that I am trotting up and down the stairs more easily the past day or so - dh asked me what I have stopped eating to cause this, hmmm maybe chocolate - then it occurred to me i have finally got round to getting progesterone prescription renewed (very late) 😬

2nd dopey thing is I have been using a knock off Apple Watch charging stand - accidentally found the proper wire and decided to try it and it’s sooooo much faster.

Currently 8000 steps. Think I will use dh’s exercise machine to get my steps to 10k

Droopydroopingdropped · 17/10/2026 21:20

Went for a nice long walk in the sunshine today so hit my 10K target 😎

10kstepsaday · 17/10/2026 22:35

8.4k today. Lots of driving and sitting chatting today 🤣

A reggae day party!! @WorthySloth you need to write a book about your adventures, I can't tell what's coming next! 😃

Evening all, after a quick trot around the house I've made it to 10,158.

@Somewhereovertherainbowwewillmeetagain don't get despondent, we all have days, weeks or even months where life throws challenges our way. It's great getting steps but it's not the point of life. Show yourself some kindness and when you are in a better place the steps will come.
@WorthySloth it's exhausting just reading about your exploits. 😀. I would love some cheesy chips now. I also try to avoid moving too much until my watch is on my wrist. Kindred spirits. 😀
@Clearingaspace 👋
@Droopydroopingdropped congratulations, great steps.

WorthySloth · 18/10/2026 07:29

Ended yesterday on 9924 steps and cheesy chips in bed 😭😭 ready to head off to Cardiff now for a gig tonight. Should get some decent steps in 😊

husbandcallsmepickle · 18/10/2026 16:16

Yesterday was very busy: 18756 steps!
Needless to say, today's been very lazy and we've gone to my mum's for lunch so today's steps will be very low

10kstepsaday · 18/10/2026 19:23

11.1K today! I did a 45 min body combat which was a lot more steps than I expected and then we went for a big family walk! Managed to find the only bit of time where the sun came out and the rain stopped, so that was nice! Kids were splashing in the puddles! Then we came home and had shepherds pie for dinner 😋

Droopydroopingdropped · 18/10/2026 21:02

14,427 steps today
No walks but barely got a moment to sit down
Big week of social events coming up so will probably eat too much and not do enough steps
Oh well.
Night all x

husbandcallsmepickle · 18/10/2026 21:18

Oh dear... 3042 steps

10kstepsaday · 18/10/2026 22:03

@husbandcallsmepickle with nearly 19k yesterday that adds up to 22k for the weekend 😃

WorthySloth · 18/10/2026 22:55

14229 today. Would have been more but we got a taxi back to the hotel because the smallest was pissed and tearful.

Joolly2 · 18/10/2026 23:00

Evening all, 10,346 steps today.
@10kstepsaday sounds like a perfect day.
@WorthySloth lalalala fingers in my ears, I don't want to hear about cheesy chips. They sound so delicious.
@husbandcallsmepickle your step average is going to be great. Don't focus on the blips.
Nice surprise today. I've been given a walking pad. It's not the one I would have chosen but it's in perfect condition and so quiet. There is no bar so will have to put a high back chair beside it to feel safe. Can't believe my luck. Absolutely no excuse for not completing my steps now.

Clearingaspace · 19/10/2026 09:44

18k is amazing and even the lower steps day would have given you something beneficial plus some recovery time @husbandcallsmepickle

i love body combat @10kstepsaday great way to get your steps up! You are doing amazing ticking off the workouts

Am impressed @Droopydroopingdropped, I would definitely score low if it was just my natural steps at home, too hard for me to resist the sofa! Enjoy your socialising this week sounds fun, maybe you could surreptitiously step on the spot while talking 😉

Is the smallest your dc @WorthySloth

@Joolly2 thats great about your waking pad and genius to use a chair for support. I have a neglected one under the sofa (too noisy) and the handle is too low so might try that!

Clearingaspace · 19/10/2026 09:47

Oops 13696 yesterday and 11599 including some improvised hiit (got to zone 5 for 9 seconds!) on the elliptical on sat which did seem to log as steps

WorthySloth · 19/10/2026 11:46

@Clearingaspaceyes she’s 18 and over did the vodka. However she randomly asked a lad in the venue if he could backflip he said no but his friend could so that made her night 🤣🤣

10kstepsaday · 19/10/2026 17:39

@Joolly2 that's so awesome, what luck!! I still have one on my wishlist!! No excuse now 🤣

@Clearingaspace me too, i used to go to all the classes about 10 years ago. The other day I got fed up of no making any progress with weight loss and signed up to the on demand thing. It's quite nostalgic to do the old releases!
Really enjoying it so far!

Caught up with you all now. What a happy positive thread sounds like you all had a fab weekend doing lots of fun things. I want cheesy chips now 🤣 although I prefer chips, cheese and kebab 😊

Saturday and Sunday my steps were under 1k. My steps for today are 2684. Its been my time of the month, I've felt rubbish with cramps, no energy and a migraine along with the heavy grief I'm still coping with. On the plus side the weather has been fantastic hope it continues. Saturday I had a pj day watching Marple with the log fire on and pottered around the house doing washings etc. Sunday I had a long pamper shower then a little spa afternoon in my bedroom gave myself a manicure, pedicure, full body moisturiser those kind of things then last night watched the Tudors with a take away. Just taking each day as it comes, thank you all for your kind words and for this fantastic threadFlowers

10kstepsaday · 19/10/2026 21:41

9.8K today for me!

Keep going @Somewhereovertherainbowwewillmeetagain and keep posting here, whatever your numbers are 🥰 the pamper day sounds lush 🩷

I'll join!!

husbandcallsmepickle · 19/10/2026 21:58

Hello @ElizaToolittle
First proper day of the half term holiday and I've managed 10289. I also succumbed to putting the heating on for about half an hour.

Somewhereovertherainbowwewillmeetagain · 19/10/2026 22:23

Welcome @ElizaToolittle I've not long joined this fantastic thread. I don't always manage to hit the 10k a day but I keep trying and can see my body shape changing. Good luck.

@husbandcallsmepickle you've just remembered me, I need to set my heating so it comes on in the morning to take the chill off before we get up.

@10kstepsaday Aw thank you 🥰 it was so relaxing although putting my Nivea body cream on was freezing 🤣 need to try and remember to heat it up next time. Going to pop into Superdrug this week to treat myself to little pamper bits like hair and facemasks keep me busy on the dark nights. Planning on making a lemon drizzle cake too 😋

Joolly2 · 19/10/2026 23:06

Evening all, I am yawning so much and struggling to keep my eyes open. Bed is calling. Managed 10,389 steps today.
Welcome @ElizaToolittle hope you find lots of encouragement here to be the best you.
