7.7k yesterday and it's a slow day today too, feeling a bit mentally meh !!

OP posts:
Onegramatatime · 10/10/2026 17:45

Yesterday was 9703 steps.
Today so far 4588.

Not sure I will hit 10k today (slow day here too) but the day isn't over yet.

Hiw are you today @WorthySloth ?

husbandcallsmepickle · 10/10/2026 17:55

@WorthySlothhow are you?
@10kstepsadayand you?
Today's steps are currently 14371 as DH is at work so I've been entertaining our 5yo. Fairly exhausted so poured a glass of wine and getting dinner ready.

WorthySloth · 10/10/2026 19:34

Still full of snot and my Apple Watch thinks I’m dead 😭😭 did 1245 yesterday and 1662 so far today. Work tomorrow so need to try to be well enough.

Wishfulshrinker25 · 10/10/2026 20:46

8000 steps yesterday but just over 10000 today. Hard going though!

Droopydroopingdropped · 10/10/2026 20:55

Rained all day so no outdoor walk but hit 14K steps dancing around yayyy

10kstepsaday · 10/10/2026 22:09

@husbandcallsmepickle just had a weird mental health day, woke up in a funk, spent a lot of the day sitting zoning out! Not sure what's up with me but hoping to shake it off for tomorrow. It's so ironic that what would make me feel better on these days (like an outdoor walk to get some steps!) seems like a mammoth impossible task.

So I'm at 4.8k for today. My algorithm showed me someone aiming to walk 150k steps in a day by walking non stop for 24 hours. Craziness.

How is everyone else doing? Hope all having a lovely weekend! ✨

Evening all, 12,726 steps for me today.
@WorthySloth I've got my fingers crossed that tomorrow you will start to feel better. I can't believe these so called smart watches can't tell when we are under the weather. They know everything about us, BP, pulse, oxygen levels etc for goodness sake. Would it kill them to offer a little sympathy. A little message "you appear to be unwell, lets take it easy today" instead of the bossy "get up
and move " would be so much nicer.
@10kstepsaday so sorry you are struggling today, please look after yourself. Hope you sleep well, your mood lifts and you wake refreshed.

Somewhereovertherainbowwewillmeetagain · 11/10/2026 00:24

What is this sorcery you guys are performing even when unwell? Wishing you all better days tomorrow.

My second day's steps came in at 1300 wtf!! All help very much appreciated at this stage.

Droopydroopingdropped · 11/10/2026 07:48

Ha all that showing off with my 14000 steps has come to bite me on the bum
So achey and shivery today
Legs feel like I am wearing ankle weights
Why is it so cold???
Planning to stay in bed
Hope @10kstepsaday you feel better today
Happy Sunday everyone 😘

Clearingaspace · 11/10/2026 09:05

Oh no, look after yourselves @Droopydroopingdropped and @10kstepsaday .

@10kstepsaday i dread to think how tired that person will be after 150k steps as 30k wrecks me on the rare occasion i might have done that (years ago). But interestingly I did a couple of 20k days in august and they weren’t that bad, which must be ftom being consistently averaging 10k for this group. Are they allowed to run any of the steps, as at my pace thst would take more than 24 hours 😂

@WorthySloth I misread and thought you did 16000 steps - maybe the watch needs a good long charge far away from you!

@Somewhereovertherainbowwewillmeetagain and @Wishfulshrinker25

How close to 10k did you get in the end @Onegramatatime

Clearingaspace · 11/10/2026 09:05

Forgot my own steps, 12,134

Onegramatatime · 11/10/2026 15:13

@10kstepsaday , sorry to hear that. Hope tomorrow is a better day.

Final steps 6819 steps.
But for the 1st time in a long while, i did a 30 minute strength training session. I am so happy with myself.

(I typed this yesterday and fell asleep before sending! Nothing new then)

So today's post:

@Clearingaspace , under 7K steps. Not great but I have consistently over the weeks insisted on moving even if I don't get to 10k.
For the past weeks, it hasn't been great (mentally wrecked and overworked, work is really overwhelming) but I am slowly climbing out of that hole.
I can't imagine 150K steps a day! Wow!

TheMaidofOrleans · 11/10/2026 18:11

So 17,000 steps today
11,000 steps yesterday
And not much on Friday / Thursday 🫢

Onegramatatime · 11/10/2026 21:31

4,689 steps today.

Spent most of the day behind the computer working. And still behind the computer even now.

I can't see myself hitting 10K steps tonight.

@WorthySloth , did you go to work today? How are you feeling?

@10kstepsaday , you okay? Was today a better day?

10kstepsaday · 11/10/2026 22:07

Thanks for all the well wishes! Some days are just 💩
I had a big sleep and feeling better today and hit 10.4k.

@Clearingaspace I know, the challenge was no running! I don't think he did it, stopped at 100K or something. It is crazy!! The most I have done is 17 or 18k in one day!! 30k is also crazy!!!

@Somewhereovertherainbowwewillmeetagain you are doing great!!! Keep going 🤩

Well done on the strength workout @Onegramatatime 💪🏻

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend :)

@10kstepsaday , I hope you've had a better mental health day today.
@Droopydroopingdropped , I hope you feel better soon too.
@Clearingaspace 12063 today and feeling better for it after a slower few days.
@TheMaidofOrleans , wow, that's great going today! 👏

Somewhereovertherainbowwewillmeetagain · 11/10/2026 23:17

Saying goodnight with a grand total of 1144 steps today Confused

@Onegramatatime I made it into work for a lovely 15 hour day and sleep in 😭😭 I’m still here…

ended yesterday on 4227 average steps for last week was 6629.

supposed to be coming back into work 11-5 today but I’m going to see if they can get it covered so I can veg at home as I have a sore throat and appear to have lost my voice

10kstepsaday · 12/10/2026 08:04

@Somewhereovertherainbowwewillmeetagain are you sure your device/watch is recording correctly? I don't mean that to sound insulting if it is so I apologisecif that's the case - although your emoticon tells me you are baffled by the numbers?

OP posts:
Onegramatatime · 12/10/2026 09:21

My watch battery has run down and i can't find the charger. Been looking since last night. Why do i feel like i have lost a bit of me??!
I have definitely gotten very used to checking my steps.

@WorthySloth , hope they get cover for your shift. You need rest to recover. Get well soon.

@10kstepsaday , how are you? Trust the 'meh' is totally gone.🎉

@Somewhereovertherainbowwewillmeetagain , let us know what you find with the watch. Also you can test it when you go out for a walk, count your steps for 1 minute and check to see if the number on your watch has increased by that number or something very close to it. Sometimes it takes the watch a few seconds to update to the new number of steps.

Anybody watching celebrity traitors?
Do have a lovely day everyone.

WorthySloth · 12/10/2026 09:27

I’m off sick today now. About to head for a shower then I’ll be taking it easy the rest of the day

husbandcallsmepickle · 12/10/2026 11:55

Get well soon @WorthySloth
So last night I was watching Pottery Throwdown and checked my steps: 9998. Great, I'll get to 10k before bed but the rest of my steps didn't register!! I checked this morning and it remained on 9998. How frustrating.

10kstepsaday · 12/10/2026 12:16

@Onegramatatime not fully gone, but definitely better! There was a trigger, I need to deal with and shift my mood!!

Hope you feel better soon @WorthySloth

@husbandcallsmepickle lol that is soo frustrating! But I would definitely just count that as 10k 😃
