Morning all.
I've been getting my steps in this morning ,as I'm at work this aft. I'm at 6,700 so far but part of my job includes walking the dog so hopefully that will sort the rest!
Lovely sunny day here on the Yorkshire coast.
Thanks for the welcome @Onegramatatime
😊

I am very late to the party here! Can I join in now? Is it 10k every day or on average?

For me, it’s either, your choice.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 13/04/2026 18:26

Thanks, I struggle to hit 10k a couple of days a week but make up for it on others.

Onegramatatime · 13/04/2026 21:28

Welcome @Illbefinejustbloodyfine .

About 15K steps for me today.

Welcome @Tibby2024
A walking pad is a great idea!! It's on my wishlist for sure! I am hoping to get a standing desk eventually and then attempt to walk slowly whilst typing for work....😅 Not sure I will have the co ordination!!
You can definitely do it!! And we are with you along the way 🤩

Welcome @Illbefinejustbloodyfine
Whatever you wish, it's a very loosely titled thread 🤩
Whatever your goals in regards to steps, this is a place to come and be accountable and hopefully stay motivated and positive about being healthier ✨

@OrientalPrinceInTheLandOfSoup
Jealous you are on the yorkshire coast and get to walk dogs as part of your role 😁

Well done @bugalugs45!!

Sorry I posted early as needed to go on school run, didn't finish catching up with the thread!

Well done @Onegramatatime 15K is awesome!!
And @OrientalPrinceInTheLandOfSoup18K!!
You guys are smashing it!! I am inspired!

Yesterday was 9.4K, I didn't realise I hadn't hit the 10k so but annoyed at myself for not finishing it off!
This morning though I went for a run which felt so good!! And as a result I am already at 9.1k by 11am! Am going to sit at my desk for the rest of today though 😄

Well over target yesterday, but likely to be more like 7k today (long office day).

Actually really pleased to see my average steps so high - I started running with c25k at the end of last year and have carried it on, really helped my steps. Longest run since starting again yesterday hence the high number.

10kstepsaday · 14/04/2026 15:42

That amazing@Illbefinejustbloodyfine
So many good numbers on here!!
I have done C25K last year, it helped me so much in so many more ways than just fitness. I used to find running such a mental challenge and am so much better at this now and able to push through and focus on my breathing.

Today was my 2nd run in probably over a year and even with that much of a break I found it easier than I have ever done historically.

OP posts:
Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 14/04/2026 16:33

Running def helps those numbers. I started with c25k and am notmw doing a 10 plan. It helps keep me going. I often go on a long walk at the weekend too, i say often, 1 or 2 times a month.

Steps today sitting at 8k which is pretty good for an office day!

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 14/04/2026 21:08

Really pleased to have hit 10k today as a day I was in the office all day. I did get a quick walk in at lunchtime.

The watch annoys me, changes my target every day so its higher today because I did so much yesterday!

10kstepsaday · 14/04/2026 22:19

Running definitely helps, this is the most steps I think I have done all year 🤩
Tomorrow will be completed different as lots of driving and I have 3 hours of training to sit through.

Well done @Illbefinejustbloodyfine annoying it changes the target everyday!!

@10kstepsaday , 17k!!! Fantastic. Did you run today?

@bugalugs45 & @OrientalPrinceInTheLandOfSoup , well done!

11.6k steps today but only 8.2k yesterday. My average so far in April is still over 11k though.

GentleIron · 14/04/2026 23:49

It's been one of those days where I'd got to 6ish k by DC's bedtime, so have stepped on the treadmill while making a cross-stitch pattern -I'm still thrilled with the 'I can do two things at once!' aspect of my under-desk walking pad.

Morning! Forgot to post last night. Had an evening walk about 8pm so ended up on 14000 steps.
For you guys mentioning walking pads ...i.think Aldi have them on this week's special buys.
It's my day off today so I'm visiting a friend , bus journey, but il get some steps in walking from the stop to her house as she's out in the sticks.

I am VERY impressed by your multi tasking!!

Joolly2 · 15/04/2026 14:22

I'm relieved to be back to my old self. I felt very rough on Sunday, hence the 2,000 steps. Monday felt a lot brighter, 7,000 steps. Tuesday loads of energy and managed 16,236 steps. Before I could take a photo the clock ticked over to Wednesday and my total disappeared. 😠 this is a regular occurrence, I must go to bed earlier. Today is going well so far.
Looking at everyone's numbers I think the steps are creeping up. There might be the odd lower number but overall we are making progress.

10kstepsaday · 15/04/2026 19:51

10.4 K today which isn't bad with 3 hrs driving and 3hrs sat in a training session 👍🏻

@Onegramatatime well done!! Yes the 17K was thanks to a 30 minute run 😁 hoping to go for another tomorrow.

Well done @SilenceInside
Crazy multi-tasking @GentleIron
There is someone who pops up on my Instagram who walks for a few hours everyday on their walking pad all whilst doing different tasks - reading books, painting, cross stitch, her make up!! I am in awe of anyone who can multi task like this!!

Well done @OrientalPrinceInTheLandOfSoup
I will have to pop to Aldi I reckon!!

Glad you are feeling better @Joolly2
We missed you!! You are right, collectively we are all improving ☺️ everyone is doing amazing!

Just back from a late night trek to B&M and Lidl to get the rest of my steps in! Was only on 7000 when I had left my friends house . Going to try and get a run in tomorrow morning if I can get myself out of bed.

This thread is very encouraging!

I have been for a run today so steps are good! About 6.5 kilometers.

@10kstepsaday , over 10k steps, not bad at all with all the limitations you had today. That's great.
@Joolly2 , good to hear you are feeling better. And straight back into it with your steps too.
Wellldone, everyone on your impressive steps and running too. I hope to get back into running and join you all.. i can't seem to muster any initiative. But i live in hope.
About 17k steps. Did quite a bit of walking, to and back all errands today.

Joolly2 · 15/04/2026 23:28

Final total for the day 11,309 steps. I'm happy with that.
The number of people getting high numbers is growing and seriously impressive.
Starting yet again with the veggies. I keep sliding back into old ways.
@10kstepsaday hope your training session was worth all that driving. Makes it a long tiring day, and still you got your steps. Wow.
@Onegramatatime great total.
