No, I'm 70 next birthday and not especially toned.

Oh, ok then - just goes to show how different we all are!

All us sub-5’3” ladies… where the hell do we buy any decent trousers??

Gall10 I have a lot of mine shortened to fit. river island are pretty good though for length in their petite range I have found.

5'2" and weight 10 st 4 and a size 14 although my measurements are all a size 12. Size 12's are too tight and I can't abide tight clothing.
tried to loose weight and can't so I think this is me now. I barely ate for a week and was sick for a day in that week and lost 1lb!!

This is a fascinating thread. I’m age 42, 5ft2, 8st8 and size 10-12 (mainly 12). Apple shape and trying everything I can to lose the extra fat (that has crept on over the last year) but currently not being successful! I find it so interesting that there are people here who are the same height as me and the same or heavier weight but smaller clothes size. I don’t think my small frame helps!

Purplmonkea · 28/03/2026 11:19

I’ve recently discovered at a doctors appointment, that I’m 5ft 2.5 which is wild - because all my life I’ve thought I was 5ft 1 😂

anyway I’m 65kg which is around 10 stone 4. That’s put me at BMI 25 so just slightly overweight.

Still chuffed though as I was 80kg back in 2022. Aiming to get to 9 stone 4 this year.

I’m currently a size 10 in jeans, tops and dresses. My waist size is 29inches which is within the healthy range for my height. Mostly hourglass but got a bit of a belly.

Purplmonkea · 28/03/2026 11:29

I think muscle and bone density also comes into it sometimes too. I know I’m naturally relatively muscly for a woman that doesn’t do weights.

I had a 5ft 2 friend who was way under 8 stone but very weak and poor muscle tone- she would say this herself - and she was only a size 8. We could swap clothes despite me being a stone heavier, she wasn’t slimmer than me to look at.

When I was 8.5 to 9 stone in my early 30s I was a size 6-8 and my waist was tiny.

Didn’t measure it but I recall it was so small in comparison to the rest of me (large chest and butt) people commented on it.

Birdsongisangry · 28/03/2026 17:06

Remember that where you buy your clothes comes into it too, I have size 8, 10 and 12 in my wardrobe and all are a similar 'fit'.
I'm 5ft 3, 62kg so at the upper end of BMI. I would like to lose a bit of weight (I've hit that age where nothing seems to work) though I do have quite a lot of (hidden!) muscle which I think means I'm a bit heavier at a smaller size.

worldsgonemadnow · 11/04/2026 23:01

I'm 5' and was 13st 4. Size 16/18

FredaMountfitchet · 11/04/2026 23:04

Iamthemoom · 11/04/2026 23:04

DominoQueen51 · 15/04/2026 19:08

5ft4/5 (on a good day). Size 12 bottoms, size 8-10 top. Big bum and hips, long waisted. Bit of a tummy. Weight 9st4.5. Not very good at diets

SuperBlondie28 · 15/04/2026 20:06

5ft 3". 11st 2. 50 yrs old (through menopause🎊)... Wear anything from size 10 to 14. Depending on what clothing and where from. Quite muscular legs from walking.

Need to lose some weight for sure. I definitely won't be doing weight loss jabs though. Hate needles!

ChubbyGroundhog · 16/04/2026 05:56

5'2"

9.5 stone size 6/8 - August 2025

Went up over the winter to 10.7 stone and wore size 8/10

Not weighed in a few weeks, currently actively losing

I have lost over 16 stone in my lifetime so have a lot of excess skin. Might actually weigh less and be smaller.

You didn't ask all this info, though! Thought it might help to have context!
