I am actually aiming to lose a stone and a half , going from 11 stone 6lbs well I weighed that before last nights Chinese to just under 10 stone.

I am hoping to do a meal replacement plan; I know not everybody gets on with them but honestly with two fussy children and a fussy husband and a busy life it just makes most sense for me as I can cook for everyone else without stressing about what I need to eat.

Anyone else?

I weighed in today and down 1.4kg since 1 Jan.

im happy but aware it always comes off quickly initially, I was eating a lot up to the 31st so easy to have some quick wins!

But in the right direction so all good!

bugsywest · 05/01/2026 20:16

Here for first official weigh in (better late than never). 13st 6lbs or 86kg. Trying 16: 8 fasting, making better choices and walking my dog for longer every day. We can do this !

HippoHotel · 05/01/2026 22:55

Well done everyone! 1.4kg is amazing Hereforthedramaz. I had bolognese for dinner (homemade) but with vegetables rather than pasta which felt like a win. My witching hour is about 6pm though, when I’m home from work. I’m always picking on food especially when cooking so need a way to cut that habit out as I’m sure it’s a huge part of my inability to limit calories.

DLRPmember · 05/01/2026 23:05

Checking in! Weighed myself on 1 January - 10
stone 11lbs. But that was after a large curry and lots of alcohol and several days of rich eating. Already down to 10 stone 7 lbs. Target weight is 9 stone 7lbs

ChristmasHug · 05/01/2026 23:08

Tomorrow, always tomorrow.

Tbh I need to deflate before I get on the scales to avoid being overwhelmed. I'll restart healthy eating soon and think about loss once that's under control.

I wish you all strength.

NoNameNoOne · 05/01/2026 23:13

I started today 9 stone 7. Will weigh again next week. Want to lose a dress size at least but will be doing weights and cal control so don't expect huge changes on the scale, more in shape hopefully x

LittleBrownBaby · 06/01/2026 10:09

Joining …..

I am very short so my weight doesn’t sound bad but for me it is at the high end. I find this last 10lbs so hard to shift. Starting the year with a clean 9 “detox” (I’ll do it for 14 days). I know it’s a fad and rubbish but it just kick starts my healthy habits and I normally lose around 4-5lbs in 2 weeks which is a good start. This year I have some big holidays and I want to feel good. I’m 41 - 3 kids.

SW 9st 4
CW 9st 2
GW 8st 7

I was going to weigh in on Thursday but couldn't resist weighing in today. Lost 3lbs since January 1st!

Quoo · 06/01/2026 11:41

Lost half a kilo. I‘ll take that. The only change I‘ve made is cutting out alcohol (dry jan). I’m trying to eat better but am due on my period and have a very busy week so unfortunately it’s not happening.

Planning on doing a big shop at the weekend and loading the fridge with decent stuff. The xmas chocolate and snacks are nearly gone, which helps.

SemperIdem · 06/01/2026 11:52

Can I join? Currently 10st 13lb and am aiming for 9st 4lbs. Totally healthy weight for my height etc.

I need some accountability to lose this chunk of weight!

Foxyloxy89 · 09/01/2026 23:24

Sorry I missed last Mondays weigh in but I fell off the diet wagon for a few days. Have been good for the past 3 days though and am trying to be kinder to myself. Will weigh in on Monday x

thenewaveragebear1983 · 10/01/2026 21:00

I’m in, I am similar weight and goal to you @weightlossss, I have all the great intentions but this week I’ve eaten sugar every day. My goal this week is to actually weigh and track everything I eat, no guessing it or estimating. 1500 cals. If I do this I should get 1lb a week loss which is sustainable for me.

RipplePlease · 10/01/2026 21:27

@DLRPmember
I’m the same weight as you and would love to get down to 9st 7lb too!
We’re finishing off the very last of the Christmas chocolates tonight and then I WILL BUY NO MORE!
My weakness is snacking. I eat healthy meals but it’s the in between bits that are my downfall!
Hopefully, once I’ve had my first loss I’ll get into the zone…
Good luck everyone!

HippoHotel · 10/01/2026 22:37

I’m like you RipplePlesse! I start off really good and don’t snack much at all before about 2pm on the days I’m not working or out with dog etc. After that the wheels fall off though and I’m in and out the fridge like a boomerang. If I’m at work I also eat biscuits which I happily avoid at home. It’s like my will power is on an off peak contract 😂Will weigh in again Monday but am bit worried as know I’ve not been as disciplined as I could have been this week.

RipplePlease · 10/01/2026 23:07

@HippoHotel
Ha! If I could avoid biscuits at home I’d be 9st right now!
Good luck for your weigh in on Monday.
Friday for me.

LittleBrownBaby · 12/01/2026 09:27

Anyone weighing in? Im 1lb down. Little by little!

HippoHotel · 12/01/2026 20:03

Well done LittleBrownBaby! Slow and steady for me too. I have gone from 63.7kg to 63.3kg. I’ve not been as disciplined as I wanted to be though this week. I’m fine until about 6pm and then I struggle so badly not to pick on bits when cooking or keep popping my head in the fridge. Grateful scales have moved a little though. Am doing Dry January so hoping that’s going to help shift a few pounds over the next few weeks.

DecemberSkies · 12/01/2026 21:03

Hi, can I join please?

Just trying to shift a stone really, I crept up to 11.2 over Xmas. I have a pattern of dropping down to 10.2ish, then relaxing and so it starts again. I'm mid 30s, in my 20s my happy weight was 9st, so I'd be happy with 9.7! I'm 5 foot 7.

I've been fasting on average 19 hours daily since the 5th (had to start on a Monday...and also finish the Xmas chocs/wine) and also doing dry Jan. Currently 10st 10lb.

HippoHotel · 14/01/2026 07:33

Join us @DecemberSkies Be lovely to have more you board so we can all stay motivated! @LittleBrownBaby and I have weighed in and @RipplePlease is measuring up on Friday 🤗. I’m finding it harder than I thought to stop picking on snacks later in the day but Dry January is helping keep some of the calories off at least. Am determined to shift the pounds by a trip in March though so hope that slowly and steadily I can just keep going!

RipplePlease · 14/01/2026 08:39

@HippoHotel
I’m finding it practically impossible not to snack!
Although I’m usually very anti diets, I feel like I need a structure to try and lose this stone.
I have done 5:2 before, with some success.
Off to Pilates then Yoga in a minute. However, they will not help me to lose weight!
You get fit at the gym and skinny in the kitchen!

DecemberSkies · 14/01/2026 09:06

Thanks @Hippohotel , I definitely think the not drinking goes hand in hand as I associate so many treats foods with a corresponding beer, or glass of wine.

Down 2 pounds today to 10st 8lb. Extra long fast as a had a huge chunk of homemade cake my coworker brought in for me after lunch, and wasn't hungry enough for dinner. Which is new, usually wouldn't have touched the sides! Appetite correction must be kicking in.

frecklejuice · 14/01/2026 09:14

I’m starting today! Lost 4 stone with Mounjaro last year and I’ve put just over 2 stone back on since stopping so here I am going it without medication and just sheer willpower which I have none of!

weightlossss · 14/01/2026 09:19

Hello!

So honestly I haven’t been as strict as I anticipated I would be and have had a couple of falls off the wagon. Including a Chinese takeaway on Friday. However I’ve lost 5lbs since January 1 so am now 11’1. I am really hoping to slip into the 10s by end of January.

DecemberSkies · 14/01/2026 14:51

@weightlossss 5lbs in two weeks is great, there's no point being super strict and feeling like you've failed just because you've had a less than perfect meal or two. You've got to live your life even if you're dieting! I'm sure you'll easily get into the 10s before Feb.

pinkyponkyplink · 15/01/2026 03:09

Can I join please? I’m 5’6” and 157lb. Aiming to get down to 140lb which I have been promising myself for the last 3 years. Trying to get into weights but I’m completely overwhelmed with where to start and have a terrible snacking problem. Help! Need lunch and meal ideas
