Thank you for the warm welcome!
I would love to join the 6lbs in 6wks. It sounds achievable.
A little background on me. I'm 42, starting to go through peri, and I've been dieting since I was a teenager. Especially after years of being told I was fat by my parents and friends.
I've tried low fat, low calorie diets, but I was starving on 1200 cals, hoping for a few more so I could eat just a little bit more.
What works for me is keto/ low carb. I'm not really hungry if I'm eating right, hence my username. Ideally I'd keep my carb intake at 25g or less, per day. I started keto in Jan 2018, got to my goal weight (152-155lbs), looked good, felt amazing, but let some of it back on again starting in 2020, when I changed jobs. I put on about 10lbs in the first few months as it was more sedentary.
I've struggled to get back on track since 2022ish. Hormones really don't help.
So I'm trying this again. Reducing my carbs, again. Sugar is so addictive and is in everything! I eat pretty clean food for the most part (can be difficult as I'm in the US, more additives than back home in the UK). But I cook from scratch, which means planning. I don't always have the time. I just need to make the time though.
Sorry that was a lot!
