Ok, maybe not a full half stone, but 5lbs would be nice! I've been invited to a Halloween party and am feeling so self-conscious about my appearance. I'm about 3 stone overweight and I'd love to get it shifted, and while 5lbs might not be terribly noticeable I guess I'd feel more confident. I've been trying for about a month without any real success, so I'm going to start keeping a food diary on here from now til Halloween and log my exercise. If anyone would like to join me please do! Sometimes a short-term goal feels more achievable than a 'by Christmas' type thread.

That sounds like my kind of party!! 🍕 🍦 I’ve been heavily motivated by my outfit for my works Christmas do this coming Saturday. It’s been hanging up on my wardrobe for a month already! It fits fine but felt it would look better with a few lb off. I’ll probably try it on again at some point tomorrow to see what it looks like now! And to keep me on track till Saturday.

Food for today;

sugar free biscuits with coffee
protein shake
2 mince pies 🫣
My Protein chicken curry (only 306 calories and very nice!)
low cal chocolate bar
tinned mandarins
2 boiled eggs
Barbecue sweet potato burger and baked beans = 1391 of my 1400 calorie allowance.

Trying out a new gym class later but may do a workout after that depending on how I feel.

Breakfast: Bagel and peanut butter - 200
Smoothie - 150

Lunch: Houmous - 200
Cucumber - negligible
Flatbread - 100
Babybel - 50
Satsuma - 50
Cake bar - 100

Dinner: Risotto - 600
Banana - 100
Yoghurt - 50
Cereal bar - 100

Total: 1700. Ooo dear! And only a 15 minute workout today as exercise. I seem to be skidding off the tracks a little bit.

Weighed in at 10st 4.4lbs this morning meaning I’ve finally hit the 1 stone target!! 🥳 Taken me 6 months to do it! Probably aiming to get to 10st now, and maintain from there. I find once I get below that weight people start asking me if I’m ill…. Confused

I'm back. Kinda fell of the wagon over the weekend and it continued on yesterday but today I am back in business.

Hope I didn't do too much damage but I will leave the scales until the end of the week maybe to see if it will plateau abit after too much food over the weekend.

Hope everyone else is feeling good and motivated.

The odd day/weekend off shouldn’t do too much damage!

Feeling a bit lethargic myself this morning….think I may have overdone it a little. Another .4lb off today taking me to 10st 4. Did a 5 mile walk this morning followed by a workout at the gym. May treat myself to something later….i’ll still be within my calorie deficit, just think I’ve been ‘too good’ the last few days!

Another 'wagon-faller' here! I'm not really overdoing it (apart from the pizza on Saturday!) but have generally been eating normal amounts rather than weight loss amounts! Prob averaging about 2000 cals a day this week. I don't know why, maybe the cold weather? I've found myself reaching for the carbs. I wish I'd been in the mindset to do this over the summer months instead.

Total: 1950. A walk of around 35 minutes.

1650 calories for me today. Better than the last few days anyways!

Went for a walk too and I have the gym booked for tomorrow morning before work!

Really want to shed a few more pounds before December starts and all the socialising and dressing up that comes with it. Fingers crossed the scales will move in the right direction 😅🤞🏼

I've gone all quiet because I'm slipping! I'm not really binging or anything but my appetite is insatiable at the moment!! I'm trying to stick to healthier alternatives, rice cakes rather than crisps, fruit rather than biscuits etc, but I'm still averaging around 2000 cals a day and since the weather's turned a bit I'm not really going on walks! I don't know how to get back into it again. I know if I let myself go even a bit hungry I'll just give up altogether and go back on the chocolate trifle so I'm eating until I'm full which unfortunately means no weight loss at all the last couple of weeks!

the weather is not helping at all, I did no exercise today.
i did manage to have 1500 calories today, lowest in a good while.
hopefully can keep it up now again and try get to the gym tomorrow morning.

It's hard. I struggled for a couple of weeks not loosing, but have finally lost 1.5 lb this week after deciding to NGAF for a week then try again.

I think sometimes it gets too much and you need a few days off before refocusing. The weather doesn't help either.
