Ok, maybe not a full half stone, but 5lbs would be nice! I've been invited to a Halloween party and am feeling so self-conscious about my appearance. I'm about 3 stone overweight and I'd love to get it shifted, and while 5lbs might not be terribly noticeable I guess I'd feel more confident. I've been trying for about a month without any real success, so I'm going to start keeping a food diary on here from now til Halloween and log my exercise. If anyone would like to join me please do! Sometimes a short-term goal feels more achievable than a 'by Christmas' type thread.

Lunch: Guacamole - 100
Red pepper - 50
Halloumi - 200
Satsuma - 50
Cake bar - 100

Dinner: Minestrone - 250
Cheese - 100
Bread and butter - 150
Yoghurt - 50
Pear - 100
Oat bar - 100

Total: 1350

That's more like it!! I've had some decent exercise today too - about an hour and a half of walking. I did weigh myself though and I've not lost a pound all week. 😟Pretty gutted by that. I think 1650ish must be my maintenance calories, it's not enough of a reduction to lose on.

How's everyone else getting on? It's been 2 weeks since I started the thread!

Weighed this morning, 10st 6.2lbs so 3lbs gone since I posted on the 13th. Chuffed with that! Haven’t been too strict with the calories though I have counted almost everything (small bag of liquorice allsorts weren’t added… ). I’ve done loads of workouts (weight training and some cardio).

Had a decent sized Sunday dinner yesterday….mainly chicken and veg, 1 small yorkie pud, small amount of mash and 2 small roast potatoes. Counted the lot but was so full after that I didn’t need anything later in the day so calories saved there.

I’m off work this week so lots of weight training and a very long run/walk planned. Still hoping to reach the 5lb loss (2lb to go!) by Saturday for my day out but even if it’s only 1 I’m chuffed with what I’ve managed! I’ve been stuck losing and gaining the same 2lbs for weeks now so this thread has helped, even if I’ve not contributed much, I’m coming back to read.

Off shopping in a bit to buy healthy stuff for the next few days!

I’ve lost 3lb however following a weekend away (with only one day of wine), I’m up 5lbs! I’m sure it’s water weight or something (I hope) so we shall see how this week goes.

I’ve decided to cut out alcohol this month (until December) as it just makes me feel rubbish and ruins any progress made with weight loss.

Very happy with that! I haven't had any official 'exercise' today but I was shopping so a fair bit of walking around town.

Went a tiny bit over my calorie allowance yesterday but with a weights workout and a run I cancelled that out. I always try not to eat into calories burnt during workouts so I’m in deficit. Weighed this morning before the gym and I’m now 10st 5.6.

Meal plan for today:

4 sugar free biscuits with one coffee before gym (can’t workout on an empty stomach) 100 calories.

Breakfast: protein shake 197 calories.

lunch: gem lettuce leaves, sliced chicken, sweet chilli hummus, baked cheese and onion crisps 402 calories

Dinner: home made chicken and veg curry with new potatoes (boiled, then crisped up in air fryer) 342 calories.

snacks: 2 boiled eggs 140 cal, low cal choc bar 70 cal, 25g pomegranate seeds 15 cal, watermelon fans 60 cal. Total calorie intake = 1,326 (daily allowance = 1400).

Happy Tuesday everyone.

I am still the same weight as I was on Thursday but after a good weekend and lots of nice food I am happy with that.

Motivated now to track everything and stay active for the rest of the week.

Breakfast: Yogurt & Berries
Lunch: Salmon and veg
Tea: Pizza Bagel

Hoping for no snacks but we will see.

We make them with BBq sauce, cheese chicken and peppers on each side and put them in the airfryer for a few mins, so nice! And if you use the slim bagels it is a really low calorie lunch!

I’ve already lost half a stone from the date you first posted and hope to lose another pound between now and Friday! I have a lot more than you to lose and I’ve lost about a kilo a week on a 1750 daily allowance. I’m very tall though and my goal weight is 80kg (12.5 stone).

Typical day:
Breakfast
one egg (75 cal)
50 gr smoked salmon (115 cal)
Warburton protein bagel (160)
Handful tomatoes (20)

Lunch:
Cully and Sully chicken risotto (336) or

Diet went out the window for a few hours yesterday evening. Stressful and upsetting incident in work (I wasn’t even in!) lead to stress eating (sweets and chocolate!) and a bottle of wine. Felt awful when I woke up. Back on it today though. And a run later.

I’ve got 4 events over the next few weeks and I’m refusing to buy new clothes when I have tons here! I’m determined to lose more weight to fit into them. I’d bought most of them for Christmas events 2 years ago and been worn once each!

Anyway, like @TC2023I had a 0.2lb loss this morning. Went slightly over calorie allowance but did a 5 mile run today so still in deficit.

Went slightly over my calories again yesterday but did a good weights session at the gym in the morning and a 6 mile run in the evening. Weighed this morning and have lost a total of 4lbs over the duration of this thread! Not likely to hit the 5lbs target I’d hoped for before my day out tomorrow but I’m chuffed with that. Fully expecting my day tomorrow to undo a lot of that but if I get straight back on in Sunday it’ll be quick to fix.

I’ve another event 2 weeks after my tomorrow’s event so would like to hit my 1 stone target by then (0.4lb to go!) And hopefully a bit more.🤞🏼
