It’s 26 weeks until Christmas and if I lost a lb a week I would be a healthy BMI for it. Starting tomorrow if anyone wants to join me

I'd love to join! Got a bit of a shock when I jumped on the scales on Monday but trying to resist weighing again until next week.

I've been quite sensible this week but probably only been in a 200-400cal deficit each day which im happy with

I'm in 😊 I currently have a thread going where I have been aiming to lose a lb a week ready for my summer holiday and it's really helped me stay on track. Hadn't realised but a lb a week for 26 weeks would also bring me to a healthy bmi.

I am currently 11st 12lbs hoping to get to 10st

Great to see you welcome @happysnail12 @igotbills @Summersunshinebliss weighed in this morning at 115 and healthy bmi is is 9 7 so 26 lbs to go. Finding the heat doesn’t help as I’m not motivated to exercise but trying to drink lots of water and avoid the ice cream

I'm doing an intense kickstart for 10 weeks and probably need about 40lbs to get into a healthy BMI - but 26lbs less than I am now will be an absolute win!

I love Christmas and every year (for at least the last 7 years) I don't feel the way I want to going into the season and new year.

I'll weigh myself in the morning, and post it on here. If I weighed in below 180 by Xmas - I don't know what I would do with myself 😂

I say a kickstart, what i really mean is I'm kicking myself to start.

The wild and wacky plan is to aim for 2lbs a week for the next 10 weeks. I know If I make the goal big, I'll work hard to get there and if for some reason I don't get 2lbs, I'll hopefully get 1lbs at a minimum.

💙Bread is my biggest vice and so I'm going cold turkey on it. No bread. I already don't eat rice/pasta/spaghetti because I hate the bloat I feel after - which leaves me with potatoes in small portions. I'll also be IF'ing, so nothing before midday, nothing after 7pm!

💙I also plan on walking everyday for an hour, but will do an intentional 5k wog on either a Saturday or a Sunday. I'll avoid all coffee shops apart from the day I do my wog and have something as a treat on the way back.

💙I hate running to the toilet and that has single handedly been the reason why I don't drink much water - so I'll be making sure i get at least 1l of pure water aside from tea etc.

The dream would be to lose 20lbs in 10 weeks - but in reality, every week will be a new week to lose 2lbs, so if I lost 1lb in week 1, I wont try for 3lbs the second week, I'll just aim for another 2lbs.

I will weigh tomorrow, but I'm guessing I'm around 206-210 at the moment. I'm 5'3 and have been happiest at about 170lbs. BMI calc would still consider that overweight 😓but that has truly been where I felt my best.

I'll join too.

I hurt my knee 4 weeks ago and it was the wake up call that I needed to lose some weight (which has gradually crept on since Covid, if I'm allowed to blame Covid still). I've lost 10lbs so far and already feeling better for it.

Coincidentally I have 24lbs to get to the weight that I'm aiming for (the weight I was for years) so that fits well (I'll allow myself 2 holiday weeks "off"!).

I weighed myself this morning!

SW: 204.6lbs

We have a busy weekend which will most definitely involve lots of food, so I need to be completely clean & super active until then to hopefully balance it all out.

Did a 45min walk this morning and will aim for another 45 this afternoon or evening. Dusted off the food scale & filled up my water bottle!

Ready to tackle Tuesday!

I’d love to join, I want to be in a really good place by Christmas and ready to go into 2026 much happier!

I weighed today, so starting weight is 190lbs - im
going to try and start with a 2lb a week loss as well initially! And aim for Christmas to be 155lbs, let’s see!

I am breastfeeding at the moment, so I also need to make sure I’m eating enough and not go too far 😊

Ill join too! I want to try walking more too and maybe finding an exercise class i like though that may have to wait until after the school hols realistically. Not sure how ill cope during the holidays as we are away a lot, a challenge i don't feel prepared for yet, but i am only just starting week 2 of my diet so we shall see how it goes. 4 stones to lose!

I actually started 5 weeks ago so was a bit ahead of others on the thread.
Today I am 12lbs down in total, and 2lbs in the last week, which I'm very happy with.

Going on holiday in a couple of days, so next week will be an "off" week.

(Again, sorry for anyone on the holiday thread. I'm just going to copy and paste!).

Wednesday weigh in....Just shy of 2lbs this week, which is great considering I was away at the weekend. 2lb to go until I reach my 1 stone lost! 🤞fingers crossed for another loss this week...but very aware from my log that it's time for the period gain! We will see!

I have 2 more busy weekends coming up - my son's birthday is this weekend (bbq and cake! 🙈) and then back to London the following weekend. Hopefully, I can resist too much temptation!

First day of the summer holidays today, so I'm hoping to stay on track and I plan to up the exercise as there are less work commitments.

Wednesday weigh in....2lbs this week 😊 which means I've just met my initial target of losing 1 stone before I go away in Aug. It's taken 3 months and been a little bit up and down, but I've got there! 😁 Now to keep going....

Long-term goal is to reach 10st and a healthy BMI.

Next mini-goal is to move into the next stone bracket.

I am going to keep going with aiming to lose a 1lb a week. 20lbs to lose - 21 weeks until Christmas. Let's go!

Morning all,

I've been super quiet on here, but remember that a month ago, if i had been super serious with this, I'd probably be 4-5lbs down by now

My weight on 01/07/25 was 204.6
This month, I reached a high of 209, but have managed to pull it back with my weight being 204.4. So instead of a realistic 5lbs down, I'm 0.2lbs down.

This month will be 10.000 steps minimum daily + 2 Reformer Pilates sessions a week. 21 weeks till the week of Xmas could mean that I'm at 183lbs which will be amazing.

Mini Goals as the year goes on are

  • a friends 40th at the End of Aug 🎂
  • A family holiday in the Oct half term ✈
  • another friends 40th at the start of Nov 🎂
  • and then Christmas🎄

This month, I'll actually check in weekly (maybe even daily)!
