My food diary as someone who’s previously lost 5 stone. Join me!

i had 6 stone to lose and had lost 5, then got pregnant and gained 3 stone back by eating tonnes everyday (my own fault!) so I have 4 stone total to lose.

A little about me - I have a 5m baby, a DH who works away for months at a time and only one family member local to help me out (they have my baby one day a week). My babies clingy and doesn’t like to be put down. I’m limited with exercise still after my c section so no strenuous activity, I’ll do walking and light dance workouts as and when I can with baby. my main focus is food. I drink barely no water and eat on the go a lot. Also snack on big chocolate bars at night!!!

when I lost weight before, I did calorie counting. Eating things I usually would in smaller portions, lots of water and fruit/veg. The hardest part is the first week then it got much easier. I’m starting again today. I’m ashamed of the body I’m in.

my maintenance is 2300 cals so I’ll have 1800 a day to lose 1 lb a week hopefully.

Weighted arms regime
1 x 1.5mile walk, 1 x 1 mile walk
16,442 steps

That last bit should say 1 x 1.5 hour walk and 1 x 1 hour walk.

Despite the disastrous 5-day binge, I ended this week 1lb lighter than two weeks ago, so am now 12st 8.6lbs, which brings we tantalisingly close (within 0.1) to the overweight bmi category from my original morbidly obese a year ago

Back on it after being knocked off course on Friday after learning dh is about to lose his job :(
Didn't stray too much but cut myself some slack as I am definitely a stress eater.
Yesterday's menu was:
B: Bakewell porridge (porridge with chai and ground almonds topped with cherries, cherry jam and cream. Strawberries
L: Ham, cheese and onion chutney paninni. Crisps, pear, cherries
A: vanilla traybake
D: creamy chipotle bacon spaghetti, garlic bread
B: Hot choc, 3x haribo
= 2038 calories

Exercise: 15 mins weighted arms, 2 x 1 hour walks = 13,045 steps

Trying to stay upbeat but he's 62, so we are not massively hopeful tbh. Onwards and upwards ...

Yesterday was:
B: Muesli, half a banana, a couple f raspberries and strawberries from the garden, milk
L: Sardines on toast, crisps, cherries (from the garden), pear (not from the garden)
A: Last of vanilla traybake
D: Beef and broccoli noodles
B: Hot chocolate and rock bun
= 1972 calories

Exercise:
15 mins weighted abs, 1 x 1 hour walk, 1 x 75 mins walk = 17,352 steps

L: tomato and roast pepper soup with orzo
D: Stifado, jersey potatoes and veg
B: Hot chocolate
S: 3 slices ham
= 840 calories

Exercise: arms with weights. 3 x 1 hour walks

Is it too late to join this thread? I’ve actually been dieting and exercising since late Feb and lost 6kg. I have only 2kg to lose to be where I want to be by 1Aug (for a wedding) but that is 2kg in two weeks and the first 6kg took 3.5 months so I need to really push the next two weeks.

i intermittent fast and calorie count so I never have breakfast, have lunch at 1pm and dinner at 7pm and then stop eating. I do eat later at the weekends.

yesterday:
B: black coffee
L: 2 poached eggs, an avocado, three table spoons of low fat cottage cheese and 5 cherry tomatoes
Snack: a mango
D: chicken Caesar salad without croutons, 2 rice cakes, two tablespoons guacamole

drinks as it was Fri night with friends: 2 aperol spritz
calories: 1550

my maintenance calories are supposedly 2,200 but I don’t believe that. I know I’d gain if I ate that much.

exercise: 5km on exercise bike at resistance level 10, 30 min weight training

I think I need to cut calories to about 1,300 for this final push. Any other ideas how to loose 2kg in two weeks???

Dropped off for a while because the heat melted me! But back at tracking. 💪🏻 Currently 13.4kg down from when I started at the end of March.

B: 30g branflakes with milk, 120g Greek yoghurt with 80g strawberries, 15g cookies & cream whey & 5g dessicated coconut. Low fat caramel latte.

L: Sourdough ham & cheese toastie. Fruit salad with clementine, grapes & strawberries. Ice pop & half a lemon square.

D: 140g garlic chicken breast, 100g potato croquettes, 1 cup cabbage & tbsp Sriracha sauce.

S: Chocolate protein shake with milk.

1697 kcal, 127g protein. Have another 50-100cal to go - still EBF so I don't like to drop too low. 8,300 steps today - have been avoiding the heat 🫠

I over ate today because it was ice coffee weather and now that the sun's gone down, I have regrets. 🥲

B: 40g of branflakes & 135ml low fat milk, can of coke zero before the gym.

L: 3 turkey rashers & 3/8 of a sourdough pizza with a sprinkle of mozzarella & lots of veg.

S: lots today! 1/2 a Terry's chocolate orange that sabotaged me. Found it on top of a press where I tossed it when I started eating healthy. Iced chocolate protein coffee & another large iced latte on the go.

D: turkey burger in a wholemeal wrap with lettuce, bbq sauce & mozzarella cheese. 1/2 a mango.

Bedtime snack: 260g Greek yoghurt, 10g dessicated coconut, scoop of cookies & cream whey, 2 nectarines chopped in.

I think around 2000-2300 Cal, depending on how much the coffees on the go were. 😅 So maintenance calories today. Weigh-in tomorrow and I'm kind of kicking myself for it, and for eating so late as well.

A: HM breakfast muffin with jam
D: Spiced sausage and rice strit fry
B: Hot chocolate and a biscuit
= 1904 calories

Exercise:
Abs session, 1 hour walk, 1 75 min walk = 17,517 steps
