My food diary as someone who’s previously lost 5 stone. Join me!

i had 6 stone to lose and had lost 5, then got pregnant and gained 3 stone back by eating tonnes everyday (my own fault!) so I have 4 stone total to lose.

A little about me - I have a 5m baby, a DH who works away for months at a time and only one family member local to help me out (they have my baby one day a week). My babies clingy and doesn’t like to be put down. I’m limited with exercise still after my c section so no strenuous activity, I’ll do walking and light dance workouts as and when I can with baby. my main focus is food. I drink barely no water and eat on the go a lot. Also snack on big chocolate bars at night!!!

when I lost weight before, I did calorie counting. Eating things I usually would in smaller portions, lots of water and fruit/veg. The hardest part is the first week then it got much easier. I’m starting again today. I’m ashamed of the body I’m in.

my maintenance is 2300 cals so I’ll have 1800 a day to lose 1 lb a week hopefully.

each evening I’ll let you know my daily food diary and if I’ve managed any exercise. Feel free to join me!!

I have been away from this thread as I regularly post on another one, focused on clean eating so just copying and pasting doesn’t feel right.
I am at my goal weight for a week now, also very happy with the fold test.

Crawling back after a complete disaster yesterday.
It started so well. Then something triggered a full-on binge (2400 calories over!).
In the spirit of moving on, I have moved on to today.
Yesterday (pre disaster)
B: Nutty muesli, milk, strawberries
L: Jacket potato, cottage cheese, low-fat coleslaw, grapes, cherries
A: Banana cake and tea
D: spaghetti with sausage, tomato and courgette sauce, garlic bread
B: White hot chocolate
E: Arms weights. 2 x 1 hour walks, 15,500 steps

B: Half a bagel with peanut butter, pear
L: Quasedilla with chicken, mozzarella and salsa, bag of crisps, grapes and cherries
A: Tea and Banana cake
D: corned beef and potato pie, carrots, peas, gravy
B: Hot chocolate
E: abs weights, 2 x 1 hour walks, 16,700 steps

I'm feeling sorry for myself & super fluey so today was not great. Ate too much sugar, & it's made me feel a little worse. Only 40kcal over, and on track for protein though.

B: 3 Weetabix, 150ml milk, 10g honey, low fat latte with caramel syrup.

L: 130g chicken, 100g pasta, tomato sauce & 25g mozzarella. 2 random Brussel sprouts because I felt I had to give the kids veggies - they did not eat them.

S: 2 coke zeroes, 2 orange ice pops.

D: a roll & a half with 100g rotisserie chicken, 1&1/2 slices cheddar cheese, 1 tbsp BBQ sauce, 10g of butter.

S: chocolate protein mouse.

1921 cals & 142g protein. Was meant to workout but tried to do as little today as possible instead.

B: Greek yogurt, vanilla pea protein, strawberries, blueberries

L: Smoked salmon and 3 scrambled eggs, rocket, tomatoes, mixed seeds

D: Veggie bean chilli with a jacket potato and butter

S: Dates, dark chocolate, walnuts

Tomorrows goal is to eat more veggies again - I've only wanted carbs while ill.

B: 3 Weetabix, 10g honey, 200ml low fat milk, caramel low fat latte.

L: 50g chicken, slice of cheese, tbsp of BBQ sauce, in a bun. 2 spinach egg muffins, a mini apple & 40g of watermelon. Cup of tea & 2 digestives to polish it off.

S: 2 coke zeroes - I need to quit these!

D: same sandwich as lunch. 30g of porridge with 40g of chocolate protein powder & a banana.

1663kcal & 112g protein. 3L water & 14700 steps.

Safely in bed, fast day completed!
Quite an achievement after another disastrous blow out yesterday evening, albeit not as bad as Wednesday. Onwards and upwards.

Today
B: Seasame bagel thin, cheese spread, tomato
L: courgette, potato and cheddar soup
D: cauliflower pizzaiola
B: Hot chocolate

= 859 calories

Exercise: weighted arms, 2 × 1 hour walks
= 17,330 steps

I was just skim reading this tread and made me super depressed! I lost 20kg over 2 years and now at my goal weight but I found it incredible how you all are losing weight eating and exercising as you do. Keep going however as it’s doable!

I could barely taste my food today, so wondering if I have COVID. 🥲 Hardly left the bed so cals & steps low.

B: 30g oats, 30g cookies & cream whey, 5g chia seeds, 1 banana.

L: half a sourdough pizza, made with BBQ chicken, 25g mozzarella & tomato passata.

D: My fantastic DH made taco bowls - 2 stand & stuff tacos with lettuce, cheese, taco mayo, mince & veggies.

Cals: 1262, 90g protein. 4500 steps & 3L water.

Fever sweats isn't exactly how I wanted to do it, but I hit my goal weight today! Officially back in a healthy BMI range. 🙈 & Back to my pre-babies weight.

Back after a few truly awful days and (unbelievably) 5lb heavier.
Fast day today.
B: crumpet thin and poached egg
L: Thai chicken noodle soup
D: Wholewheat spaghetti (50g) with pork, fennel and tomato sauce
B: Hot chocolate
=820 calories

Exercise: Weights arm routine, 1 x 1 hour walk (weather awful here so no evening walk tonight)
= 9371 steps
