I am 5ft2 and 11 stones heavy. The heaviest I have been in my whole life.
I need to get back in track with gym and moderate eating, was wondering if you’d like to share an average day pf eating, if you are someone who is careful not to gain weight/stays slim.
Obv I appreciate it also depends on how much movement, metabolism, age etc.
I have a big appetite and usually have big dinners, as well as a couple of take outs a week which together with a sedentary office life, have slowly contributed to my weight gain.

Today so far:
Fruit and veg smoothie for breakfast.
Poached eggs, avocado and tomato on sourdough, with leafy salad.
A few squares of white chocolate (I prefer milk/dark but the DC outvoted me).

Going out for dinner with the DC, so will probably be having pizza and salad (several restaurant options are available, but I'm guessing they'll want to go for pizza).

So far, my lunch was 2 protein rice cakes with tarragon chicken salad on top.

Dinner might be a wrap of some sort with rocket.

Do you think you can still be overweight if you do fasting?

I know I'm being unreasonable expecting to see a change within a week. But I've done a 12-hr fast at least every night, a lot of exercise and eaten healthily- with the lightest meal being dinner of soup by 7pm. Plus no snacks or sweet treats.

Just weighed myself and I've gained weight since Sunday.

I do eat massive portions for breakfast and lunch- but would have hoped to have seen something.

Just for transparency I am overweight with BMI over 25, and am 45.

I think realistically at BMI 25 you need to track calories as well to lose weight. I do a 12 hour fast daily not because I mean to, but because by the time I eat breakfast it’s been at least 12 hours. I can definitely still overeat in the remaining 12 hours!

Massive portions can mean anything really so it’s best to track calories at least for a short while so you can learn to eyeball what is reasonably within your limit.

Also, for me daily weighing is best. I aim daily for the same time & same conditions, so just after I wake up. I take my lowest weekly weight as indication of progress.

5'6'' or 168cm
59kg or 9 stone 4lb
Breakfast: 70ml oats, 70ml semi skimmed milk plus water. Then add Brazil nuts and almonds, flax, sunflower, pumpkin and chia seeds, and frozen raspberries to cool it down. Mug of coffee.

Lunch: something plus a pear and an apple. That something might be a ham or ham and cheese sandwich, or leftovers. Water to drink.

Dinner (early, with the kids): in rotation: bolagnase, korma, omelette, salmon, then three meals from a recipe book (fri-sun when we have time). Water or sugar free squash to drink. No dessert.

Evening: cup of naturally caffeine free tea. More water.

That's it's. No snacking. If hungry at bed time a glass of semi skimmed milk. Alcohol only if with friends or family and it's an occasion.

With this I am slowly losing weight. I don't feel hungry or lacking with the above. I always feel fine. I average 6000 steps a day.
