I am fat.
Like 16.5 stone at 5ft 7 type fat.
I was chubby, then lost alot of weight, got to 10.7st. I did it with far too few calories and far too much exercise. When other things in my life went to shit, husband lost his job, children needed surgery, deaths of 5 close relatives and friends then covid, then a change of job, and on and on...
I know how to lose weight but atm I don't have the strength to do it.
And so, like the rest of the population, or so it seems, I'm considering weight loss medication.
Is it as horrible / as effective as I am being led to believe? Because it really is the go-to of the moment and in my current state, I'm thinking, why not?
I don't really think I want to take a medication to lose weight, but tbh, I am totally overwhelmed / daunted by starting again.
Is anyone on it? Thoughts? Things to take In to consideration?

It’s not what you’ve asked, but in your situation I would definitely try intermittent fasting. I’ve spent years on and off calorie counting and feeling hungry. 5:2 has allowed me to gradually just genuinely change how I eat, and I only need to really think about it 2 days out of 7. Feels like this will finally be the thing that works for me.

Like you, I was considering medication. But it’s far better and infinitely safer to make genuine lifestyle changes (and much cheaper!)
