I’m a lb up on last time I posted. I’m just glad not to be gaining.

I’m off all treats except for once a week so that should help

I’ve stopped weighting but got back to the gym last week. Probably weight about the same as you happier. I’m focusing on routine and nutrition

HaagenYAAS · 29/03/2025 20:02

Hello please can I join the team here? I don’t have scales but know I’ve gained a lot since my daughter was about a year old (it wasn’t pregnancy that it it, seems to be the inactivity and poor eating that followed as busy mum!). I’m a bit ashamed at the gain - think about 20kg. Aiming to be 65kg again. I really don’t care how I look, but I feel sluggish and tired, my clothes don’t fit and I haven’t got the money for new bigger ones!! And also I want to be fitter and healthier for the long term. I’m 33, and have been a limb my whole life until now!
Im mainly existing on carbs at the moment, as it’s easy and I’m exhausted, but need to get better with variety, fibre, vitamins, and protein (like I used to be!).
healthy cold lunch (or super quick hot - microwave only) ideas welcome. Thanks

Small steps Hagen Change one thing at a time

Happierwithouthim · 02/04/2025 15:18

Häagen welcome on board!
if you don’t want to weigh, a measuring tape will show change too.

like life says one thing at a time.

I’m a lapsed catholic but embraced lent this year in a bid to reset my snacking habits.

Despite the following a garmin training plan for half marathon and cutting out the rubbish scales is still not moving however I’m not bloated and am having malted wheats for breakfast every day for a fibre hit!

0.5lbs lost
13.1 miles run this week
According to my garmin I averaged 8h sleep over the 6 nights I wore my garmin to bed.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/04/2025 19:31

Well done

eating aallll the carbs in Italy

Happierwithouthim · 15/04/2025 12:13

I think eating malted wheats for breakfast instead of porridge with nuts and sultanas is helping, it’s tasteless but filling and lots of fibre

When in Italy that’s a given Grin

Happierwithouthim · 19/04/2025 14:11

Down 0.25lbs, it’s not a lot but I’ve a feeling that TOM is approaching as I’m emotional but it is an emotional week too so who knows. It’s not a gain that’s the main thing

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 19/04/2025 14:12

@lifelongfrugaleerI’m ordering you to stay away from scales for at least a week after returning from Italy

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 19/04/2025 16:59

Did I say all the carbs 😂

Happierwithouthim · 19/04/2025 20:33

yes Grin

Happierwithouthim · 21/04/2025 13:15

So today I saw the other quarter of a lb down! My eating is a bit disordered this year but I’ve been eating malted wheats for breakfast and I think that’s helping with weight loss.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/04/2025 13:29

I’m back on it ish
my average steps last week was 17474. There are lots of hills in sorrento!

Happierwithouthim · 26/04/2025 10:54

Wow that’s a lot of walking, you must have slept well by night!
another half lb lost this week
161lbs 11st 7lbs, hoping I can keep this streak going.

My cycle seems to be returning to normal, finally.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 26/04/2025 12:09
