Happierwithouthim · 02/02/2025 12:26

I ran for a 1.5 miles physically I could've continued but mentally I just couldn't be bothered so walked the remaining 2 miles.

I'm going out with a friend on Fri night my new jeans are snug so I need to debloar as much as poss, taking pasta off the menu and including crunchy bran and malted wheat cereal for fibre this week

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 02/02/2025 15:33

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 10/02/2025 17:56

Today was not the day to start. However
need more protein & fibre
calories on track

Happierwithouthim · 11/02/2025 06:28

I finished off with a pack of monster munch and ten filo wrapped prawns not exactly the dinner of dreams

Ds didn't go to boxing but cuddled up with me on sofa instead to watch emmerdale.

I can hear him coughing already but it's not as deep as yesterday

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2025 06:34

oh is he down with a bug happier. That’s certainly an unusual meal

headache this morning & tired so no gym
ended on about 1700 with too many carbs. I’ll get back into the swing

Happierwithouthim · 11/02/2025 08:40

That was spaced out monster munch on way from work to visiting and then prawns and sweet chilli sauce in front of tv.

He's got a cough, going on a week now, he's tired but in good form.

Already I've had a nature valley crunchy dipped chocolate biscuit pack, almond croissant and banana
The plan was a roll with chicken & stuffing filler for lunch today luckily I bought cheese & sliced turkey too because someone ate or dumped the filler from shared work fridge Confused
I've porridge and a pear too.
Strength & conditioning class tonight so late dinner or no dinner and early bed tonight

1700 first day is good

Weight loss 0

Happierwithouthim · 14/02/2025 09:35

Give it a chance you're only back calorie counting a few days Wink
Am I skinny yet? Grin

My scales got a fall and it's not working properly although I do think the weight it's showing is probably correct, might be time to invest in a new one.

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 16/02/2025 12:57

Well TOM landed & scales dropped to 11st 6.75lbs or 160.75lbs

What scales have ye got?

I completed a local 5k in 35:38 which is now my starting point. I've committed to do their interval training on Mon evenings starting tomorrow.

DH is at risk of redundancy so realistically, I'm doing well to be weight stable.

Happierwithouthim · 16/02/2025 14:14

Hack sorry to hear that, are their jobs in his field available? You've worked hard at this, maintenance is ok Flowers

DH is in a slough of despond and it's so far impossible to have a meaningful, productive talk with him.

He's about 7 years out from retirement age so, realistically, there are slim chances of him getting a FT job to take him out to then. His best hope is finding another internal post in the organisation but, given the interview timescales, and the time he's lost by not taking action, it's not feasible he'll have time to be interviewed before the 12 weeks 'at risk' is up.

And, thank you to you both, Happier and Life - I am doing well to maintain under the current circumstances.

Happierwithouthim · 17/02/2025 17:32

Will he have a decent redundancy package to subsidise a part time job?

Nightmare for you as you seem to be shouldering the responsibility

Did a 5k with athletics club yesterday and considering that day 1 of my training for July half marathon. Today was meant to be day 2 training with the club but there's a rainfall weather warning and my throat is a bit scratchy so I'm taking a rain check.
Tomorrow is strength and conditioning, m and I will do a run on Saturday & Sunday too hopefully, poor dog is a bit neglected lately.

I still don't know the details of the package. We've 1 more pay cheque from him before the 'at risk' period lapses and I can't get him to find out basics. Or decide on training for something else or just anything.

He's been made redundant @10 times since 2000. It's only the original one that qualified for a package and that was the legal minimum and unimpressive. This one will have a package but it's unlikely to be sufficient to subsidise him for PT work until retirement. If he manages to work at all.
