So this is a complete mystery to me. I am 5 ft 3 but feel slim at 150 pounds. Which seems on the large side - 5 pounds overweight in fact.

At this weight I can put on most clothes and feel happy. Slim face, arms, legs, flatish stomach.

I do have large boobs and a big butt naturally. I was a 32 e when I was 135 pounds. I feel like 150 would be high for most 5 ft 3 women

Just odd because I am now aiming for 120 pounds (sister’s wedding next year) but have no idea what that will look like.

Weight doesn't come into for me as if I work out and train with weights I will tone up and look great but can weight the same and not be toned and carry fat vs muscle .

VibeOnWithMyGalPals · 04/07/2024 12:34

About 9 stone 4lbs

HMTheQueenMuffin · 04/07/2024 12:35

I'm 5 ft 2 and most comfortable (as in I don't have to starve) at 10stone 7-10 stone 10.

Any lower and it is a real struggle to stay there.

I have quite a large build and when I have been 10 stone I have had people express concern at how gaunt I look.

Greaterorlesser · 04/07/2024 12:39

5ft 3. 9stone is my comfortable weight

ThreeEggOmlette · 04/07/2024 12:47

5'3 and happy anywhere from 140lb and below.
Like you, big bum, 32E size 10-12, I'm quite fit & muscular

Would love to be 130ish but I managed that for 2 weeks while on mat leave feeding a big, hungry baby, getting 20k steps a day and eating 1600kcal.
I looked really slim, it made a huge difference so I'd be skinny at 120.

It's just not sustainable for me, so I'm not going to waste time over it.

Decafflatteplease · 04/07/2024 12:50

Im 5 foot and 14.6. I know I'm overweight but I'm happy at this size. Not particularly trying to lose weight but I do try to eat healthily as when I eat better I feel better

TheresaCrowd · 04/07/2024 12:52

I'm 5 ft 3 and like to stay at just under 9 stone.

So about 120 lbs to 126 lbs

CortieTat · 04/07/2024 12:53

I noticed our perception largely depends on people around us. I often travel for work and when in Asia I look just average, when in the UK I started to stand out because the majority of people are overweight.

Peoppy · 04/07/2024 12:54

Interesting answers.

My theory is that at 150 pounds my weight is quite evenly distributed. Ie I don’t have rolls for me to fixate on and my waist is defined. I am an hour glass so I think maybe proportions matter?

I like to be under 9 stone. I’m a smidge under 5’8. I struggle to be that weight as I get older. Possibly because I drink a lot of wine.

Jegersur · 04/07/2024 12:57

I like to be around 8.5 stone. It’s my natural weight, though it can vary between 8.25 and 8.75.

StoneColdAlibi · 04/07/2024 12:58

I'm 5'9 - anything under 10 stone is my happiest, so <139.

With recent weight training I'm more like 150 but don't look it, so I'm trying to stop giving a shit about the number.

SwordToFlamethrower · 04/07/2024 12:59

Toned and muscled. Comfortably crossing my legs. This weight bs needs to end really.

CortieTat · 04/07/2024 13:03

I'm ca. 161 cm and 49 kilos, that would be something like 7st 10 or 108 lb? At over 9 stone I start to look overweight (puffy face, double chin, saddlebags) and if adjusting BMI for height makes sense then BMI 23 is just at the beginning of the overweight category.

Soñando25 · 04/07/2024 13:03

My weight seems to hover around 10 stones. I'm only 5 foot 1. At times in my life I've been much less ( had eating disorder) I'd like to be nearer to 9 stone, but it's a huge effort now I'm older. I suppose I could say I'm reasonably happy around about 10 stone, ie slightly overweight as tbh, I don't look gaunt. I'm certainly happy that I don't seem to go above this weight whatever I do, so that's something, I'm definitely not a skinny build. I'm a bit fed up with BMI etc as I genuinely believe it doesn't work for the body shape of a lot of women.
Interesting question btw!

Matilda1981 · 04/07/2024 13:03

I’m 5’5 and currently 14 stone (have slowly lost a stone this year), I want to get to 12 stone 5 which to some people sounds huge but I’m a comfortable size 12 at that weight and everything looks in proportion. My lowest adult weight was around 11 stone 9 but this is really hard for me to maintain.

AstonMartha · 04/07/2024 13:05

I’m quite surprised at some of the answers. People aren’t saying really low numbers.

There is a website that you can put in your height and weight and see other people the same height/weight and it’s interesting how differently we all carry weight.

spsy · 04/07/2024 13:12

Around 55kg, I have pcos and I’ve found my symptoms are always better and I have more regular periods at that weight and just feel better about myself as my weight always goes straight to my stomach and at that weight it’s less of an issue clothes wise.

AhBiscuits · 04/07/2024 13:53

I'm 5ft 4 and 146lbs. I feel pretty great but there's still a fair amount of fat around my lower tummy / hips. I reckon another half stone will do it. So 139lbs.

This
I don’t focus on my weight. I look very slim, but I am solid muscle so I probably weigh a lot.
Dh struggles to lift me

Menora · 05/07/2024 12:21

Still finding myself not that happy with my body but better. I still have some visible fat that can’t be toned up with exercise so I think I will be happier when I’ve lost the last 5lbs to get to 10st 7. However I’ve a feeling this won’t really be enough and I might want to go lower. Got to work out if I can maintain 10st also I don’t know if I can face another 6 months of trying to get there. Already been going for 14/15 months. I am focusing more on my muscle tone lately as it’s much more visible than it used to be and legs are far more solid. Just my jelly belly to sort out! I am 5’5

I've got zero intention of being stick thin i look better with tone/definition and that involves not being a tiny weight

Choirreality · 05/07/2024 12:43

166cm and I dropped to 57kg I thought I’d be over the moon at that weight. But I wasn’t! I dropped due to a traumatic event and lots of exercise including weightlifting.

I’m hourglass shape and lost a significant amount from my bust. My face also looked very gaunt - which I didn’t like. I found the dresses I enjoy wearing didn’t fit or look good. I am happier at 60/62kg. I did prefer my thighs at 57kg. But you can’t pick and choose!

After 4 babies and in peri menopause my body however seems to prefer 66kg! What surprised me is I preferred how I looked at 66kg rather than 57kg. I’m less critical of myself now.

CollyBobble · 05/07/2024 14:02

Between 8 and 8 and a half stone. Occasionally I go under 8 and I boost my weight up with protein shakes. I cannot afford to be overweight as I am very active and carrying excess weight is bad for joints etc.

anywherehollie · 05/07/2024 17:15

I'm 5'7 and when not pregnant I'm around 132lbs which is fine for me, although my ideal is 125-128lbs. I would be extremely unhappy with anything above 138lbs.

Violax14 · 06/08/2025 17:59

Im 5'8 (173 cm) and tbh i felt my best and happiest at 67-75 kg. i know thats a wide range but around that weight roughly i just felt my best and my skin was amazing, and i wasnt restricting at all. Yet my goal is 55 kg, and right now im 62. dont feel my best would rather be 75 again, but im so close now why give up?
(btw 75 kg in lbs is 165, and 62 is 136 lbs.)
