That's amazing progress! How have you stayed motivated? Do you run regularly now? I've completed C25K previously but not sure I can face it at my current size.

Ihavenoideawhatmyusernameis · 12/08/2024 12:08

Thank you ☺️ yes i run at least 3-4 times a week and the other days i work a hard incline on the treadmill.

I was 16st when i started and honestly i thought my knees would hate me for it but its done me the world of good

This is incredible! Very impressive.

olympicsrock · 28/10/2024 08:51

Wow I am So impressed . Amazed that you set such a low goal though. We all put on weight as we age . I would have said 11 stone was a good goal or even 10 7 rather than aiming towards your 20s weight

thelaststone · 28/10/2024 09:47

Go you! Well done for the 5k

I’m still going - goal weight is 10st which is 1/2 stone heavier than my 20’s. I think that should be achievable in time. X

It’s so hard - I started gaining weight after meeting my DH. Not his fault at all but I think I just enjoyed life more (eating out/takeaways etc) was 9st 6lbs when I met him but will be happy with 10st

Ihavenoideawhatmyusernameis · 14/11/2024 11:17

12st 10lbs - that’s officially 5st!

it’s taken a little while because of various life events but I’ve managed to not gain which is a real win for me. The last few weeks have definitely been about maintaining and having a balanced approach

How do you feel?

Like a totally different person! It’s weird, because sometimes I look in the mirror and I don’t recognise myself ☺️

Also, angry at myself - how did I let it get that bad in the first place? This has been life changing for me. There is more to go and I have accepted that my body will never look exactly how I want it to. I’m thrilled and never thought it possible after over 20 years of trying

Edited

I haven't actually got that brand but I bought some from Asos that really helped.

But I kept getting adverts for 'Heyshape' and they're about £40 and were BOGOF.
And I kept dithering but at the moment they have an offer on for buy 2 get 3 free so I've ordered them.

I'm hoping they're as comfy as the asos one, which I wear when I've got jeans or a dress on.

i might just bite the bullet and order something to give it a try.
