LMG - you're thread made me giggle!!
Can't believe someone was anal enough to correct your spelling.....pmsl

Glad you got out bid.

susiecutiebananas · 03/04/2008 22:02

hey lady katy tried to call you a few times this eve, its going straight to answer phone.. hope you are ok? Vaguely remember reading your text this morning, but can't remember what it said, I'm so sorry! I delelted it after I read it... meant to get back to you.

I'm just about to find out how many syns the butter toffee pop corn is, I had found out before just noticed these packets are much smaller, so maybe not so bad! < hopeful emoticon>>

Made a delicious past back tonight, not totally syn free, but not bad at all, so not worried about it. Also eaten lots of fruit again. I swear i'm going to turn into a satsuma soon!

My big brothers b-day today, think its the first year i've not been with him for about 20 years! Just had long chat though, he was i the pub with lots of friends, his finace organised it, and it as a bit of a surprise. I just couldn't have managed the journey over to N london, with the walk at other end to pub, would have been too much.

Hes upset ( not truly but you know what I mean ) with me now, as he would have paid for a cab to his, so i could have left Izzy with his baby sitter, and the gone out and stayed over there for the night. I wish i'd spoken to Karen about it now, couldnt ask him as it was a surprise! gutted now, that would have been a perfect solutiuon.... Still guess its saved me some calories!

susiecutiebananas · 03/04/2008 22:05

KAy,if I call your home phone and give it 3 rings or something, you can do 1471 and call back if ok for you, or write it down for another time?

So sorry, I just posted mine before without reading yours! doh!

Tell me whats best for contacting you lovely ?

LoveMyGirls · 03/04/2008 22:05

Me too mine! At least I won't have dp taking the piss out of me for eternity now! Can you imagine the ribbing i'd have got for buying 2 of something, that'll teach me for trying to bid on things whilst trying to make lunch at the same time!

Brief stroy - I borrowed the game, dd2 ripped the board, I explained to my friend at toddler group this morning and promised to replace the board asap as her dd wanted it back, thought i'd keep the ripped one as it's still decent enough to use but not in the state it was when she lent it to me so couldn't give it back like that so I did the decent thing and brought an identical set except I thought i hadn't done it and got distracted a fair few times and somehow managed to bid on two of them, silly mare!

Anyway I've been swimming, I feel de-stressed, I've got a much easier day tomorrow only got my dc's until 4pm and 1 mindee 8 til 1pm, dp is having the afternoon off and then we're going swimming and in the sauna before i go to WW for my weigh in, I'm really hoping for a good loss this week, only 2 weeks until my family party and I want to look good!

fatkatyslim · 04/04/2008 12:55

i'm sure you can imagine whats be going on regarding him, just didn't want to depress everyone with my bloody husband.

foodwise i had a lovely meal in the pub yesterday shared with my sis.(and a bottle of wine lol)
but i walked for miles and was dancing at my house so must have burnt it off.
i've just had a big plate of bns chips to try and claw back some points.i only want to lose 4 lbs in the next 2 weeks

how's everyone else ?

OP posts:
pollywobbledoodle · 04/04/2008 14:02

hello all
not had chance to read thru the thread....hope you are all doing well!

had a lovely (if rather cold) holiday in welsh wales...and came back to a day of prep for a barium enema....a day of mega-laxatives and close proximity to the toilet bowl....this is so not a pleasant way to lose a few lbs!...anyway, all over now and the test was normal...nearly at the end of the medical fiddling now....[relief]

have been well off the wagon....on a chocfest...friend not very reliable about the weigh ins....might have to follow katy's lead and actually endure the humiliation that is the public weigh in to get me on track...daren't get on the scales but i am prob the same weight or more than when ijoined this thread ...need to find my incentives again!!!

hope you haven't lost so much that you've disappeared yet katy!

anyway today
nhs tea and toast
egg salad sarnie
flapjack
tonight, veg soup and bread
fruit if i fancy it...

Jahan · 04/04/2008 15:56

Hi everyone.
I've been doing really well this week til I just opened a packet of digestives. ooops. I've had 3 sleepless nights in a row and am feeling very run down

Its such a gorgeous warm day today and we've spent most of it in the park (its so much easier to be out than in with kids when you feel tired and lazy)

Mine - I used that site before I came across this one and have made some really good rl friends from it. I so much prefer this site for posting though.

Katy - feel free to vent (or ask for advice) here. I don't think we would be depressed to read your posts about 'bloody husband'! I'm sure we're all happy to listen and/or help.

Susie - 5lbs is brilliant! well done! Its wonderful when clothes start to feel loose.

Lisa - wow. 1st2lbs is loads. How much more do you need to lose? I'm aiming gfor 1.5 stones more.

Hope your all making the most of the weather. By all accounts the temp is going to drop tonight and we've a weekend of hail and snow!

LisaLessLumpy · 04/04/2008 16:06

Jahan - same here, I want to lose another 1 and a half stone too

fatkatyslim · 04/04/2008 16:29

hiya polly, good to see you back and that the test results were normal

bloody husband is just the same shit, different day
i know i can rant on here though x

i too have succumbed to a couple of digestive biscuits (chocolate ones)
it's so hard when the boys are off.

the weather is not that good here.it's not raining but it's a bit dark.i can't wait for summer.

i asked my sister what i could do about my fat pouch and the cheeky cow said surgery! pmsl

Just a quick one to say...........

Last week i was 10.11........this week I am 10.7 so i've lost 4lbs! in a week! so a total of 21lbs in 10 weeks

I feel bloody fantastic, i'm so proud of myself and can't wait to lose the next stone!
I've been out with dp and my sister and bil for a curry tonight (it was all you can eat) and i only had one plate and half of that was filled with salad, I've just come home and had a couple of qulaity st and a kit kat, that's it now back to gbeing good until next friday night!

I'm going to go swimming as much as i possibly can as it is really working, as well as me being good of course!

susiecutiebananas · 04/04/2008 22:30

Helloooooo girls!

We have had a lovely day today! It was so sunny and warm. Started off really crap, as I'd had yet another virtually sleepless night. Reckon I got 3 hours, at most. I felt so ill with fatigue. Anyway, she had a little nap, and then we were about to go to the shops, and I decided to just stay at home, and in the garden.

Well, Isobel loved it! She walked all over the grass up the garden, all around, leaning on her lion walk/push thing. Then we just sat on the patio playing with toys. She ate alot of soil, filled a bucket with stones, and just had a lovely time. The sun went i and she started to get really cold, so we came back in.

Got all her new bedding today. Duvet and pillow and gorgeous quilt, from mothercare. She went to bed tonight with no tears, and just popped in to find she's still under the covers! she normally moves around SO much every half hour or less. She's fast asleep, all cozy under her big girls duvet and head on pillow. SO sweet. I'm really hopeful she will not wake up tonight... please????

So, food:

B Cereal, 28g
L Left over tuna pasta bake.
T Half a ham sarnie.didn't feel like eating much. Just having satsuma and yogurt.

Have drnk alot of tea too today.

POLLY I was beginig to think you'd left us! SO glad you are back, and had a nice break away. I am also thinkig I need to start going to a class, only way to really truly motivate me! Wish we lived nearer, we could have gone together. Seems we have continuously had the same light bulb moments!

KATY Anytime sweetheart, ANYTIME It was good to chat to you too. I always feel I;ve been speaking to someone i've known for years ad years when we chat! So odd...

jahan and lisa you are both doig so much better than me wish I could stick to it like you two seem to. I want to lose 2 1/2 stone... desperatly! I know i'll feel so much better when the 1st stone is off... have to do it by may 10th, I just have to. Please tell me how you keep motivated ??

BEL so good to see you too, seems like an age since I've seen you here, how are you?

Anyone seen discoverlife or fedda? both vanished... hope Discoverlife is ok, not seen her anywhere on MN, at all. I think fedda is on aother diet thread somewhere though...

Right, onwards, ad downwards weight wise all!

please please can someone give me the secret to keeping motivated ?? !!!

pollywobbledoodle · 04/04/2008 22:48

susie for me this thread is like the hotel california....you can check out any time you like but you can never leave....not that i want to! glad you and katy have made such a good link. and aren't lazy sunny days great?my dd was floating around in her fairy dress, meandering between bike, climbing frame and picnic with nanny.
when i find my inspiration i'll let you know but i suspect it is going to be along the lines of i really don't think i can do it without putting some external pressure on myself...i just lose sight of my goals in the face of chocolate sometimes (Easter mainly)

pollywobbledoodle · 04/04/2008 22:49

mylitlepud, where are you?

LisaLessLumpy · 05/04/2008 09:27

thanks lovemygirls ,i'm on my stepper in a bit.if i try and do it when dd is awake she trys to climb on it lol
i really want to lose 4lb for my birthday in 2 weeks.but i've got a wedding on friday.i've had a look on that website as they are having a meal at franky and bennys and then an open house party later.the lowest points i can find would be a plain pizza and salad for 12 points.if i share it with dd do you think it will be ok?
i just don't want everyone to think i'm a party pooper by just having salad
sorry, got the moans on me today,i'm due on in the next few hours so i should perk up soon.

OP posts:
LisaLessLumpy · 05/04/2008 20:18

I'm really annoyed. I have been looking forward to starting running but my hip has been really giving me gip since thursday. It is uncomfortable to walk let alone run, so much so I am missing tomorrows run and will book in to see the doc asap

pollywobbledoodle · 05/04/2008 22:35

i like the idea of riding out the munchies...like bucking broncos....woah there wotsits!!

well done katy you steely willed woman

my sympathies lisa it's awful when your body won't do what you want it to isn't it?

am feeling more positive today.i think it is knowing that my test results were ok...i feel more like looking after my body...

have done my excercises...well started the build up programme again... had words with my friend and she has agreed to weigh me every fortnight when we meet up...she has weighed in at her gym and wants to lose a similar amount to me....we are going to the cinema for a double bill at half a stone and a spa day for a stone....and going out in our bikinis for a stone and a half (not really )....if she wavers its fat club for me!!

susiecutiebananas · 05/04/2008 22:40

Hi all
Lisa, I can really empathise with that in a big way. hip pain is horrible, as you can never properly rest it. even when you are lying down, you are putting pressure on it... have you tried anti-inflammatorys? I expect your GP will prescribe diclofenac and maybe an analgesia too. Its pretty good stuff though, really helps with the pain, and does work to reduce any inflammation there. Gosh, I do hope it feels better soon. Rotten for you

Katy: you are still doing amazingly well. I'm sure if you had something ice to eat on friday, it wont make much difference, with all the exercise you do too..

Going to bed now as so tired. Been good re food today. not eaten enough actually.
B fruit and fibre 28g
L 4 ryvita high fibre crisp-breads with humous and ham. ( could have had 7 as healthy extra )
T none, feeling to miserable and tired.
snacks: seafood sticks x 4, satsuma, banana and yogurt! no changes there then!
& my mIlk allowance. (350ml skimmed milk)

had horrible day with izzy due to bad night with her! and DH dodn't come home as he's ill. But didn't bother to tell me, or answer the phone or any texts messages, then sent me a horrible one tellig me to leave him in peace as he was ill. Like I was supposed to telepathically know that was why he was ignoring my calls. And why he didn't come home. Got really upset at his text to me, and really He knows i'd have been so understanding and kind and loving to him if i'd have known he was ill.

tomorrow's another day hey? not that he'll be here, but at least i imght get a sleep tonight. mum is having izzy after church so I can actually get some rest. My hip and back are really playing up. mainly due to getting no sleep and no rest I 'm certain of that.Had to increase my pain killers too. so reckon my weight will increase again... i noticed such a change when i reduced them, that was when i lost weight. I guess though, that as my pain had goe down a bit, I'd done a bit more activity and so must have helped....

Hope the rest of you are all well! polly how are you? When you say you are going to a class, do you mean Rosmary Conly, or WW or SW maybe? just wondering!

catch you tomorrow all.

pollywobbledoodle · 05/04/2008 22:51

he's a bugger that man of yours susiec.

i was thinking weight watchers if i end up going. rosemary has worked for me in the past but i'm not up for the excercise part of the class any more...so it seems silly to pay for it1 never understood slimming world....dh often cooks tea and i often don't know what it will be until the afternoon so i would find it hard to say i was having a green day or whatever....bet you are sorry you asked now!......actually ww is because of our poster girl really

off to bed now as well

norkswings at 8 am ladies??

fatkatyslim · 05/04/2008 23:03

yep i'm up for a nork swing, that's if dd wakes up

lisalessbumpy hope you get your hip sorted x

polly your plans sound great.i truely believe in treating yourself you deserve it
