Weigh loss for Easter Part 2

RedDoughnut · 18/03/2024 12:50

For those on the thinner by Easter thread we will run out of space before Easter gets here.

So this is our home for the next couple of weeks.

After Easter my plan is to have a new thread ready for the start of Summer.

Welcome!

I was on the other thread in Jan/Feb, doing ok...then Feb half term hit, I was on holiday and I crashed off the wagon and stayed off it for 3 weeks 🙄

Two weeks back on SW now and I've lost the couple of lbs I'd regained and a bit more so I'm relieved to be heading in the right direction again.

SW 08/01: 15st 2lbs
CW: 14st 5lbs
GW: 10st 10lbs
Total loss so far: 11lbs

Thank you @RedDoughnut for the new thread.

Another 0.7kg off for me this week. I've come to accept that it's going to be slow and steady. To be honest I ignored the diet for most of this week so any loss at all is a great result.

Other wins:

  • I'm no longer obese, just plain overweight
  • I'm no longer the heaviest I've ever been (obvs that's been true since I started to lose weight. I mean I'm now below my previous heaviest weight. Hope that makes sense!)
  • In Jan I got to week 4 of C25k and stopped... yesterday I started again, from where I left off! Very proud of this one.

SW: 82.9kg
CW: 78.3kg
Original easter goal: 75kg
Realistic new goal: 77.5kg

And yes I am definitely up for another thread post-Easter because I should actually be more like 60kg!

I suppose I need to do some positives as feeling pretty down about the constant non movement of the scales.

I am at week 9 of C25K which is the furthest I've ever got. I can now run for 30 minutes.

Even though the scales aren't showing it, I know I've reduced my eating. I haven't drank alcohol for nearly 3 months and I've cut out any form of sugary food.

I do 2 personal training sessions a week with 2-3 runs and I'm just hoping the associated DOMS is why the scales don't move much. I seem to have no movement and then after a few weeks a bit of a whoosh. It's not very good for morale though.

OkyDoke · 19/03/2024 10:44

@kirinm I am struggling with lack of loss too and increased exercise. Barely any movement in the last two months. I'm a lot fitter but want to be smaller! Not sure what to do.

Half a kilo off for me this week.

Total loss since I started on 25/01/2024:
6.5kg.

I have a lot to lose, but I’m really trying to commit to steady and sustainable changes. It’s hard because I’ve previously lost weight much faster, but I keep reminding myself that then I always rebound.

Seaitoverthere · 20/03/2024 06:40

Thanks @RedDoughnut . Well done to those that have lost and sympathy to those that haven’t.

When I did couch 2 5k a few years ago I was pretty much static for 2 months then it started again.

Morning everyone, again not found the time to read the thread properly but hope you are all well. Pleased with a 2lb weight loss this week. I'm not going to manage 2 stone by Easter ... so I'm being happy with a stone and a half .... and if I can get into the next number bracket by next week then that'll be great ....

SW 2/1/24-16 stones

CW 21/3/24-15 stones 3 pounds

1.7 pound loss this week -this is the best week I've had since starting this.

11 lb loss so far .

BMI now 28.8 -never been so pleased to be just 'overweight' v 'obese' 🤣

EW-14 stones ....unrealistic....hopefully get to 15stones and carry on trying to

I'm going to strictly calorie count this week. I know I don't overeat but by calorie counting I can at least know for sure that I'm doing everything I can and weight loss is slow despite that.

Period started today so that's some more watertight to enjoy 🙄

Well done to everyone for keeping going!

I mentioned on the other thread I’m doing this for health reasons after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in January. It’s given me the biggest kick up the bum I’ve ever had and I’m being so strict with myself to get this weight off and try to stay off medication. I started on 8th Jan when I went back to work after Christmas and am SO close to the 3 stone lost mark! Hoping to get to it next week but most of all hoping to avoid the meds at my next blood test next month!

Thanks for the thread and the motivation!

SW 8th Jan: 16 stone 2.25
CW: 13 stone 4
First goal: 13 stone

Ihonestlydontgetit · 23/03/2024 08:57

I started on boxing day at 12st 10lb and have tried to stick to it. Done a pretty good job but 3lb off the 2 stone target and unlikely to get there in a week. Good effort though.

SW 12 10
CW 10 13
GW 10 10

Ultimate goal 10 4

It'll take another 6 months to get the last 9 lb off but then I'll need a maintenance thread.

Well done everyone on the losses so far. Massive effort to keep going from Christmas to Easter.

SW 15 stone
CW 13 12
TW 13

Not the 2 stone for Easter i aimed for but a steady loss in a way that feels sustainable. Will keep going and hope to hit the 2 stone mark in May.

Disappointing week as I have stayed the same on the scales - 11 stone 1.8 lbs.

Definitely a reflection of eating out twice at the weekend (eating out properly - not making 'diet' choices).

My revised personal goal was to be below 11 stone by Easter Monday so need to lose 2lbs this week.

I was quite thirsty this morning so I'm hoping some of its water retention and I've lost 1/2 a lb somewhere... clutching at straws!

RedDoughnut · 25/03/2024 10:57

I can't face the scales.

I just can't

I know I have gained, I can tell
