Cambridge 1:1 diet - anyone else?

Hi all, I’m starting the Cambridge 1:1 diet on Tuesday (just waiting for products to arrive!) and wondered if there’s anyone out there looking to join me? Plan is to reach my goal weight by summer and work then on a healthy transition to maintenance. I know it’s easy to yo yo on VLC diets but this is about a mindset and long lasting change for me

Hi,

I've just restarted my journey today. How have you found it?

Thickkkgal · 20/03/2024 14:19

Hi,

I am starting tomorrow - nervous. Would love to get a little forum support group on the go....going to need it!

Obesetohealthy · 20/03/2024 14:24

Absolutely! You've got this. Happy to support Smile

Thickkkgal · 20/03/2024 18:31

Collected all my products earlier and I going to do step1b. Hoping I can last on it for as long as I can. Have you done it before? Any tips?

slimbysummer24 · 23/03/2024 21:32

I’m getting to the end of week 2 on Monday. First time on it and I haven’t found it too bad. Now on step 2 which I find better. I lost just under 4 pounds week 1 which was lower than I’d anticipated, but I’d actually lost another 4 pounds the week before starting by tapering off.

Biggest tip - lots of water really helps and try to weigh yourself only once a week

Hi everyone, I’ve just started this diet on Monday.
Seems to be going okay for now. Looking to lose 3.5 stones. First weigh in is next week Wednesday as my consultant is on holiday, hoping for a big loss 🤞🏼

How’s everyone else doing? Well done on any losses so far🥳

Thumbu22 · 09/05/2024 11:13

week two on 1:1 diet but feeling dizzy anyone else with this issue

NCgoingdry · 14/05/2024 06:45

Is this still going?? Would love to join. I've just finished week 1.

Moneyp3nny · 17/05/2024 06:06

I have started the Cambridge weight plan one-to-one diet, I am into my second week, I lost 7 1/2 pounds in my first week but I have developed upper back pain, has anyone else experienced this or know what it might be? at first I was worried it may be kidney pain, but now I’m not sure, I don’t want to stop the diet as I desperately want to lose three stone and I know this works as I did it years ago ?

NCgoingdry · 17/05/2024 06:08

@Moneyp3nny I know there is the risk of gallstones if you suddenly change your diet and lose weight rapidly - could it be that?

OnMyWay89 · 17/05/2024 09:15

Hi All, I’m on week 7 and have lost 1 stone 10lbs so far. I’ve got 2 more stone to go to my goal weight. Hope you’re all doing well🙂

NCgoingdry · 17/05/2024 09:55

@OnMyWay89 Mid way through week 2 and I'm 8lbs down.

I don't know if I could hack it for 7 weeks but that's the plan my consultant has for me. How do you stay motivated??

OnMyWay89 · 17/05/2024 10:19

@NCgoingdry - The weight falling off helps for motivation.

I work full time and find that the step 1 is easy as it fits in with my day as it takes the hassle out of meal planning.

I’ve got around 4-5 more weeks on step1 then my BMI will be 25 so my consultant has told me that I’ll have to move up to step2.

Congrats on your loss so far🎉

EltzBee · 17/05/2024 18:58

I have taken the step of reaching out to a local consultant today. I have tried calorie counting the normal way and just find the weight doesn't go! I swear I look at food and it goes on me. I have a friend who did Cambridge successfully but used to yoyo a lot with maintenance which isn't something I want to be doing... I also am worried about how to manage still with making sure I can eat with my little one!
How have people found the start?

Mariehgib · 24/05/2024 07:39

Hello I just finished my first week on 3 products a day stuck to it to the book. Lost no weight at all gutted ! I did this diet 4 yrs ago and lost 10 lbs my first week followed by constant losses so not sure what’s wrong this time

CampervanKween · 03/06/2024 18:11

Anyone still doing this? Just started today and it would be nice to have a buddy. Looking at this board, it seems everyone else is injecting themselves in some way!

CardiffForEver · 03/06/2024 19:23

@CampervanKween
Me!

CardiffForEver · 03/06/2024 19:24

Also started today.

OnMyWay89 · 03/06/2024 21:45

Hi everyone, I started on 1st April and had a few days off plan for events. Lost 2 stone so far. I’ve got 9lbs to go for a healthy BMI.

Hope all is going well for you all🌸

P.S Having a period on this diet sucks, especially if you get chocolate cravings😞

CampervanKween · 03/06/2024 22:38

Oooh fabulous well done, thats amazing progress.

I think my periods may have ended without fanfare tbh, I'm 54 and haven't had one for several months now so fingers crossed. Actually I have found the cravings and fluctuations in mood leading to overeating have gone with them.

First day done, I had 4 Products and some chicken in the end. Will try harder tomorrow.

CampervanKween · 03/06/2024 22:39

@CardiffForEver how much are you hoping to lose in what sort of timescale?

CardiffForEver · 04/06/2024 07:47

I should lose 5/6 stones
But I'm on holiday at the end of July so at the moment I'm just thinking of a quick start to get back into my summer clothes.

Starting weight 17.01
Ideally I want more than stone off this month

How much does everyone else weigh?
I'm absolutely not having any injections

CardiffForEver · 06/06/2024 10:23

How is everyone doing?
I miss chewing!

CampervanKween · 08/06/2024 12:49

Badly I'm afraid, 2 nights out with alcohol and pizza has been my downfall. Not giving up though, back on it today. A marathon rather than a sprint etc

Incrediblehulky · 10/06/2024 14:37

Hi,
Just started this diet today - anybody else still on it?
