I'm doing daily weigh ins, I find it more motivating. It might not be for everyone but if anyone would like to join in with posting every day your weight and loss, and how the day has gone - to stay in focus. Good luck!

Welcome @Bluesprinkles12 that is a great start!

1st - won, well done Flab!

despie illness and step count about 1300 only a day a slight loss:
SW 90.9kg
CW 89.3kg

Chestnutsroastgreen · 04/02/2024 10:24

Stone, not won!

Menora · 04/02/2024 10:34

No loss today but not a surprise I got a little too stuck into the low cal g&t’s last night 😔 and had a terrible nights sleep.

well done everyone!

spackleplumb · 05/02/2024 08:26

Weighed in this morning-

SW 16st 5lbs / 103.9kg
CW 14st 1lb / 89.8kg
GW 10st 2lb / 64.4kg

3lbs off this week. I'm happy about that but also aware that's too much in a week so will be more careful this week to stick to 1-2lbs losses. It's the first time I've been under 200lbs in a very very long time so I'm delighted overall. Well done everyone on your journeys you are all doing so well!

Menora · 05/02/2024 10:14

SW: 15st 6lbs / 99kg
CW: 12st 1.3lb / 76.8kg
GW: 10st 10lbs / 68kg

Chestnutsroastgreen · 05/02/2024 13:35

SW 90.9kg
CW 89.4kg

a 100g gain from yesterday. My BMI has gone down half a point which is good.

I hope to get and stay under 89kg by the end of the month.

Bluesprinkles12 · 05/02/2024 14:25

SW 100.3kg
CW 98.5kg
GW around 70kg
slight gain from yesterday but my stomach is not feeling the best today so I think it’s just water retention. Will have to see how I get in over the next few days

CoatOfArms · 06/02/2024 11:34

Haven't been on this thread for a while as I got out of the habit of a daily morning weigh-in.

Anyway.

SW 85.9kg
Today 76kg
Goal 70kg ish

So I have lost 10kg, give or take 100g. Pretty pleased with that.

That's really manageable, a stone will be off in about 6 weeks if you're on around 2lb weekly loss so you should be there well before May I'd think. You can definitely do this.

gettingfitinmenopause · 06/02/2024 11:59

thanks @spackleplumb - 2lb is quite unusual for me - it is usually 0.5 lb a week - since I got older it is much harder to get off! I do attend the gym but work from home now, so don't burn many calories otherwise - here is hoping

spackleplumb · 06/02/2024 12:02

@gettingfitinmenopause Sounds like you're doing great and there's always so many variables when it comes to weight loss. I'm in peri too so I hear you! This thread is definitely helping me to keep motivated and feel less alone in the journey. I'm excited to see your progress.

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 06/02/2024 12:26

Just checking in, saw 210 lb on the scale this morning which is nice.

Feeling a little unsettled because I have a week in Butlin's on the dining plan coming up for Feb half term. I really want to keep up the weight loss so trying to think of what may be available on buffet breakfasts and dinners that won't feel too restrictive but will allow me to at least not gain weight.

@FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain First of all, well done you, you are smashingit.

I have just had a brief look at a sample menu - the good thing is that is shows the calories on the menu, so you can make the healthier choices.

CoatOfArms · 07/02/2024 08:57

75.9 today. That is down exactly 10kg from my starting weight in October and I’m delighted. And so is my cholesterol. Celebrating by meeting a friend for coffee and then buying new jeans as the size 16s are now far too big. 😁😁

I think I'll stick to eggs or fruit for breakfast and probably have DDs kids meal in the evening so she can have an adult meal, she's in that inbetween stage where a kids meal is a bit too small and an adult meal a bit too big so that might work out well for us. Hoping I'll be up, about and moving around so much that it will compensate for any accidental ice cream or cheesecake 😂

@CoatOfArms well done! Have fun shopping!

Menora · 07/02/2024 12:18

I bought my 2nd pair of size 12 trousers. I really did not think they would fit - reduced in Tesco black woven trousers with stretchy waist but not stretchy in legs. They did fit. I was gobsmacked. I am still 12st so didn’t think I had a chance yet. I have gone through my wardrobe and a lot of it will have to be given to charity as it doesn’t fit now and I can’t alter it, I am struggling for clothes without buying all new ones but I can’t afford to do that at the moment.

Andrasa · 07/02/2024 12:48

Ooh, I love tracking my weight every day, especially since I use an app that then smooths out the bounces so I don’t feel sad when it jerks up and down.

sw: 78kg
cw: 59.5kg
gw: 58kg

I'm so close to goal now I’m expecting it to take ages, so I’ll be celebrating any sustained 0.1 drop!

Monday morning weigh in

SW - 1st Jan - 225 lb
WC 5th Feb - 211 lb
WC 12th Feb - 210 lb

Loss this week 1 lb
Total Loss - 15 lb

Menora · 12/02/2024 10:15

I’m 76.6 which is not much change, but is still a change so… yay me 😂
been unwell for weeks so not been as active

spackleplumb · 12/02/2024 13:57

No change for me this week but I'm trying to be ok with it. I have had less water this week and it's my time of the month so putting it down to that. Still under 200lbs so happy with that at least.

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 15/02/2024 06:39

Slow week for weight loss so far, going to make a concerted effort to drink lots of water as thinks part of the problem

spackleplumb · 17/02/2024 17:56

How is everyone doing? Hoping this thread keeps going as it's keeping me motivated every week. @FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain I've upped my water this week too as had definitely let that slide a bit the last couple of weeks. I've stuck to water and diluting juice this week. I'm plateuting weight wise at the moment and struggling with the urge to give up and eat all the chips. But the health worries are scaring me enough to stick with my diet and keep going. Just hoping I see a drop on the scales this week coming as it's bugging me.
