My New Year’s resolution was to lose weight. I finally got my act together when I started to eat a lot less carbs in July and since then my weight has dropped from
89 kilos to 71 kilos. I literally can’t believe it, I’ve lost 20% of my body weight and have been really enjoying the Christmas season going out and wearing lots of sparkles.

@Moonshine5 no worries.
Well, that sounds like a good idea. I hope it goes well, I'm sure it will.

@Amdone123
Have you tried drinking lots of water and a little green tea

Just do some thing a bit different

Amdone123 · 22/01/2024 16:22

@Tilllly I could drink more water and I quite like green tea, so yes, I'll try more of both.
How are you doing?

I'm going to do this. I did it over ten years ago and found it incredibly easy. Lost weight quickly and felt so much better. I had more energy and wasn't hungry at all, it's just getting into it which is hard. I tended to eat the same things a lot but it didn't bother me. Smoothies for breakfast are a good idea. What sort of yoghurt? I find if it isn't Greek yoghurt made in Greece I get joint pain. Must be additives.

I need ideas for salads. I am not good at making salads generally, apart from Greek salad which I love.

Hello everyone. I've stayed the same this week but not surprised because I was eating too many carbs over the past few days. I find the cold and dark so hard as I crave things like mashed potato.

Also not drinking enough water during the daytime, mostly so I'm not dashing to the loo at work so often.

@JanuaryJunipers Do you like different salad dressings? That might help mix things up a bit. I tend to use chopped little gem or cos lettuce, chopped up whatever else is in the fridge, and make sure I include some protein or it won't be filling enough. Usually cheese or hard-boiled egg, or half a tin of tuna.
