2 Stones off by Christmas- a thread for those with quite a lot to lose.

2 stones is a drop in the ocean but there are 14 weeks to Christmas and so at 2lbs a week a 2 stone loss is achievable. Maybe a little bit more if you have lots to lose like me. ( 5 stones).

I'm going to weigh in on Monday and possibly check my measurements if I can find a tape measure!

I'd welcome some company form anyone who wants to have some accountability and a place to keep track of their weekly / daily food intake or losses.

I'm now off to have a small and healthy breakfast.

Well, that's a disaster.
I have a cold. More throat is sore, my nose is runny. Nothing tastes right so all the overeating was a bit wasted. I have a headache and I'm achy.
I'm a bit constipated and I have cystitis!! I'm peeing acid!
I don't know if they are connected to having a cold.

Woe is me.

I'm hoping some of the gain is just bloat. It can't be proper fat? Thursday evening I started to feel unwell, so that 3 and a half days of not dieting.

Hello everyone.
I am down -3lbs on last Monday and am over the moon as the last 3 weeks I've basically been at a plateau with the scales not budging, so this has given me some encouragement now.

Now 12.1stone,
Starting weight 12.9.

I'll feel so happy to be under 12 stone again so I'm really going to try to focus on that this week and aim to keep loss slow and steady.

Finished my period but no change in scales. So disheartening. I did have a slice of bread last night, it was a lovely sourdough I could not resist! If it was not me preparing food for daughter I'd be fine I think... so hard when cooking for family.
Had a couple of cheese puffs too 😊.
I am determined to be good today, so desperate for weight to come off.

@Suma2021 I am also at 12.1, down from 12.9. I would be ELATED to see under 12 stone on the scale and beyond pleased if I could see 11 or under on Xmas day. I have not been below 11 stone for YEARS. I was literally just on the verge of reaching for a mini chocolate swiss roll but I'm feeling determined after reading your post and 3lbs down. Well done. I am making a cup of tea instead.

@ILikeItHere draw a line from yesterday and back on it today,. You've totally got this. 7 weeks today until xmas day. The window to lose the weight is getting smaller and before we know it it will only be 2 weeks until Xmas and then no time at all to see any decent progress in just 2 weeks. Keep your eyes on the prize. Think about that goal and the 7 weeks, every time you reach for a naughty snack, That is what I am trying to focus on. Stay strong.

No, rest assured it won't all be fat. We have to remember that a lb of fat is made up of 3,500 calories. Unless you have over eaten by 3,500 calories, you have not gained a lb of fat in a day!

Eating lots of especially salty food will show a gain but it will even out again over a few days.

I weigh daily and saw an 11.8 on the scales this morning. So that’s me nearly on track to be at roughly 11 stone by Xmas. Will have to go back and check when I first posted to find out if that’s anywhere near two stones.

Hello! Checking in:

SW: 12 stone 7 (I think from memory)
CW: 11 stone 7
Goal weight: 8 stone 7

Very happy to have lost a stone (since beginning of September)

I weigh myself daily and it has been fascinating to watch how it fluctuates but also helps me recognise patterns - particularly when I am on my period and I otherwise would think I hadn't lost any!

Sticking to a pretty boring diet of chicken and eggs. Snacks are limited to bananas and pine nuts.

Starting to think about Christmas and what my plan is. Current thoughts are that I will have an amazing Xmas dinner and dessert but that's it. I am consoling myself with the thought that it is just one year and in all future years I will be able to have a week of eating what I want and then just need to tighten my belt a bit for the first week or so of January....

Do other people have a plan for Xmas??

@Boyboyboy10 Thanks for your support, it does help with motivation. I've been on plan today, 2 shakes and about to eat salmon with salad for dinner. No snacking! I just need to survive the evening.
If nothing drops tomorrow I think I'll have no choice but to start moving more! I am pretty sedentary, WFH on top of that.
Well done to those who manage to lose! The rest of us keep on going 🙂.7 weeks till Christmas.

Five weeks in and doing really well with food and exercise....I just can't cut out the wine. Have such good intentions, but still having a drink 2 or 3 days a week. Lost 1kg this week, which has me on track for a stone loss next week if I manage to lose 1kg more. Really proud of how I haven't missed a day of exercise in 5 weeks.

How quick are these Monday's coming round! Another non eventful week where I was able to stick to plan, thankfully, and lost 1.2kg. Good luck everyone.

Current loss - 1.2 kg
Total loss - 9 kg
Target loss - 12.7 kg

Really pleased to have lost 1lb after two weeks of staying the same. 5:2 & 16:8 approach seems to work better for me than same calories every day. Had a big weekend with friends as well - loads of alcohol calories but I tried to track them as best I could and not go off piste! Though I was quite piste on Saturday night 😃

So now 1st 1lb (15lbs) off in two months, 1st 5lbs to go. Have lost inches off everywhere and am in size 12 clothes. Most pleasingly my waist is down to 30" - that's due to going to the gym & fat loss too. Bust 39", hips 39".

Starting weight 13st 6lbs Cw 12st 5lbs, goal 11st.

Morning! Managed to lose a pound finally. Now that puts me in the upper range of healthy BMI!
Drinking black coffee and pushing bfast till 10.

I’ve managed to put on weight this week, back up to 89kg. It was my birthday and I know I’ve not been as dedicated. Hoping it’s also because I’m due on, but back at it and hopefully it’s a one off. I’ve got all the birthdays this month so just going to plan for the birthday meals and try to absorb some of the extra calories elsewhere

hi everyone...really quick update today...not feeling the best. think ive been coming down with something for a few days now and today its really settled in.
MIGHT try to cook anyway but we will see.
today has been on plan.

Only posted on here once near the beginning, since September I've managed to lose 7lbs 🥳 aiming to lose another 6lbs in time for Christmas, which I think is a pound a week now or thereabouts.

Like some other posters here I also can't cut out alcohol so easily!! It's definitely my downfall. I don't drink during the week but love having a few over the weekend. Need to try and cut back though.

I'm feeling a bit better and I think the bloating has gone a bit bout my bowels are still on a partial strike!
I'm still tired and sniffling. I need a week off from work but I'm self employed so can't afford it.

Congratulations on all the losses and new milestones being reached!

I had a bad day yesterday in the end, an impromptu McDonalds and a sweet treat I couldn't resist caught me out in the evening. I hadn't meal prepped properly nor exercised enough as I am so busy with work and kids' events at the moment.

I am determined to get back on track today, had an okay first meal but then some fruit crumble 😫

I keep relying on having a really good low calorie dinner which to be fair usually works for me, but it's also a little risky.

People keep telling me they can notice weight loss now so I really am determined to keep on track!

i managed to cook yesterday which im delighted about. leftovers for dinner today so good homecooked food and not junk, its very filling too. already feeling better.
only less than 2 months to go until christmas now...sticking it out!
