I've never really believed the hype about changing injection site to change effect, and always done my stomach, but I follow a tiktoker who broke a weeks long plateau changing to the arm and decided to give it a try as I've been on 0.5 for so long due to shortages and I could tell it wasn't having the same impact anymore.

Woke up this morning feeling sooooo nauseous, so some side effects are definitely back, hopefully I'll feel the impact of it this week!

Will be great to know how you get on. Did you inject in the arm? I'm wondering how you managed it? (Unless of course someone else did it for you?)

DrMadelineMaxwell · 01/09/2023 07:11

I'm back on my 0.5 dose after taking a week off it because of going away with friends. I didnt notice any immediate surge of feeling hungry again (and I know it takes a while to leave your system so didn't expect it). Obviously I put on weight eating and drinking in holiday mode but I am back to my work routine as of today now and hope to keep onwards and downwards.
My new juniper order is due to dispatch next week so I really need to decide whether I am going to grit my teeth and pay for a 0.5 pen and get 4 weeks instead of 8 out of it. Or lower the dose a bit to eke out more doses. Or just stop until the whole shortage thing blows over and see what happens.

UsernameFail · 01/09/2023 09:43

Well done @TheGoodEnoughWife that's an impressive weight loss! You must be pleased

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 01/09/2023 12:52

@TheGoodEnoughWife Hooray for overweight! Really, really well done. How do you feel in yourself; blood pressure, sleep quality, energy levels?

TheGoodEnoughWife · 01/09/2023 17:23

Thank you!

Regarding how I feel. I was/am on high blood pressure meds and so sometimes feel a bit head rushed if I stand up quickly so am thinking they might need reducing. Apart from that I feel great. Trying to do more activities and finding it easier to do so.

I need to do the back pack full of 4st as that would I am sure feel really heavy!

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 01/09/2023 22:34

@TheGoodEnoughWife Same with the head rushes sometimes, my BP was not great when I was obese but never high enough to need meds. Checked it the other day (DH has a home monitor) and it's now the lower side of normal!

TheGoodEnoughWife · 02/09/2023 06:40

Lower side of normal sounds good - I think? Lower is always good? Although not so low you pass out! When I googled low blood pressure there wasn't a lot of concern.

I know my GP will want me to test BP at home at various times of the day for several days and offer up the results - I haven't got around to this yet!

Peridot1 · 02/09/2023 07:41

Excellent results @TheGoodEnoughWife!

SarahC50 · 02/09/2023 09:13

I get the head rushes, dizzy low BP feeling. I think it's low blood sugar with me. The ozempic doing it's just b a bit too well and me perhaps not eating enough calories in the morning. I've had it for the six months I've been on ozempic

Zempy · 02/09/2023 09:26

@WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa I read your post and decided to inject in my thigh rather than tummy on week seven.

Woke up feeling a bit nauseous which is actually good, because I was worried that my 0.25 dose was no longer cutting it and I would have to increase to 0.5. I am trying to stay as low as possible for as long as possible as I only have one 0.25 dose left in original pen, and a 0.5 pen.

Then I’m at the mercy of sourcing and paying £££ for another pen of any dosage.

Come on Wegovy! Where are you???!!!

Kfjsjdbd · 02/09/2023 09:27

Same with the head rush. I also thought it was my blood sugar maybe getting a bit too low. Interesting to think it might be blood pressure.

Is anyone else struggling to justify new clothes for their weight because they don’t trust that this is their new body?

gingerbubs · 02/09/2023 11:25

@Kfjsjdbd I know what you mean about clothes, but also reluctant to buy as I'm only halfway to my goal so hoping even new clothes won't fit for that long. I've started using vinted because of this and am loving it so far. I've also started selling my size 18/20 clothes which is a great feeling.

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 02/09/2023 11:25

So far the change of injection site has deffo made a difference. Feel like I did in the early days, and am filling up very quickly. It does mean the nausea in the mornings is back but I can live with that!

Has anyone had any luck at getting 1.0 pens from HealthExpress recently?

If so, what's their current price?

I've not even been able to catch .25 from there for over a month. They didn't have 1.0 on the drop down at all in that time

SarahC50 · 02/09/2023 21:36

Has anyone purchased from further afield. I've found an American supplier offering 1mg for £120 plus £15 postage. I'm very tempted as 0.5 is doing nothing for me. They take PayPal payments so that should provide some protection for actually receiving the goods.

How do they keep it chilled during delivery?

mathis2006 · 03/09/2023 07:37

@SarahC50 could it be coumpounded semaglutide?

SwimmingFree · 03/09/2023 08:31

Morning everyone, I'm on my last week of 1mg before going down to 0.5ml with juniper. Have been on oz since January and am down 36 pounds. First time in years I've been able to lose weight.

Anyway, this week has been torturous for cravings, feel like I'm white knuckling my way through the week and have crazy sugar cravings. Feels like my non oz diet attempts where this has happened and I've given in.

Anyway, it's not giving me much hope for my drop to 0.5 this week. Just wondered if anyone has any good ideas or how they got through any similar periods.

Zempy · 03/09/2023 08:56

I’m not doing as well on week 7 of 0.25 so I’m going to have to increase next week. Really bloody annoying, although I’m obviously grateful to have been a super responder and to have lost over a stone already.

I might try halfway between 0.25 and 0.5. Does anyone know how many clicks that would be on a 0.5 pen?

SarahC50 · 03/09/2023 09:18

They say it is sent in a polystyrene chilled box, it looks exactly the same as stuff I've received from juniper. How would I know if it was compounded? X

SarahC50 · 03/09/2023 09:20

@SwimmingFree brilliant losses so far. The 0.5 I am losing verrrry slowly on. I don't feel as full, I am hungry and I'm afraid I've been craving and eating crap. Could you drop to 0.75 mg? X

ticktock19 · 03/09/2023 11:44

I've just had a very short questionnaire about confirming my interest in WeGovy from Simple Pharmacy.
It had this info re 'possible' pricing structure
