Guess my holiday weight gain! (Lighthearted)

Currently hanging around the airport waiting for my flight home. I'd lost a stone in a run up to this holiday aiming for 9st by the time I went. On the morning of departure I was 8st 13.8lb.

I'm taking all guesses, from the sublime to the ridiculous as to what I'll be when I step back on the scales tomorrow morning. Parameters of the holiday are below!

Ok. Holiday was for 10 nights. Half board. Buffet for breakfast and dinner. I ate loads at breakfast so that I didn't have to eat lunch. I ate lunch all days bar 2 (oops!).

Pre-dinner cocktail every night (usually a pina colada) with bar nuts to snack on. Buffet dinner - lots of choice and I didn't stint. Wine with dinner too.

Food below:

Breakfast: lots of fruit but also pastries, croissants, eggs, sausage etc. usually 2-3 plates/bowls

Lunch: Cheese galore, crisps, bread but also meat and potatoes, calamari, fish, Greek salad etc.

Dinner: Everything from Mexican, Italian to roast meet and more cheese. Lots of puddings. Some fruit. Again - 2-3 plates/bowls daily

Snacks: Daily ice cream. Bay snacks. Crisps.

Alcohol: daily cocktail and wine.

I'm reckoning at least half a stone. Any guesses?

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 26/07/2023 18:08

RyanGoslingsTan · 26/07/2023 18:20

ay30916 · 26/07/2023 18:45

7lb. Don't worry about it. It will come off as quick as it went on

devildeepbluesea · 26/07/2023 18:47

I reckon I could put on a stone easy. But, easy on and easy off I usually find!!🤞

FragrantBumFluff · 26/07/2023 20:01

I'm going with half a stone!

Nosunhere · 26/07/2023 22:32

All the weight you lost in the run up to your holiday plus 5pounds!?

Aubree17 · 26/07/2023 22:41

Don't worry it's all water weight 😂

10ibs.but predict it will fall quickly and you'll settle about 9.3.

coxesorangepippin · 27/07/2023 01:40

If I ate all that it'd be at least ten pounds but I seem to magically be able to gain weight 🤔🤔😒

uncomfortablydumb53 · 27/07/2023 02:17

6lbs but it'll come off when you get back to your normal diet

MiddleEasternMummy · 27/07/2023 02:26

I once put on 19lbs on a three week holiday all inclusive 🙈 took me 4 months to get it off !! Hopefully you won't have gained that much . My guess is 5lbs .

ymemanresu · 27/07/2023 02:33

Lol bless you. You don't tell us your age or activity level? 20s probably 3 pounds, 30s a bit more , 40s etc a bit more... don't worry about it , enjoy your holiday

Amdone123 · 27/07/2023 02:52

8lb !
It all sounds marvellous, though.

Twiglets1 · 27/07/2023 05:57

Depends if you went to the gym at all or did any exercise. Your holiday sounds like my typical holiday eating and I tend to put on a few pounds. I will guess half a stone, 7lbs.

Sounds like it was worth it 😀

getafringenotbotox · 27/07/2023 06:05

8lbs

I'm 47. On holiday my activity was walking from the sun lounger to the pool and back again. No actual swimming in the pool, just floating around in a giant watermelon rubber ring!

I went to the gym once. It was not air conditioned. I lasted 20 minutes. Lost about 48000 litres of water via sweat and never went back!

My friend put on a stone in a week on an all inclusive!

HaPPy8 · 27/07/2023 06:33

7lbs …. Most will be water and food still in your tummy so no panic!

Kidsandcat · 27/07/2023 06:35

Same age as me. I just put on 4lbs on my 12 night break and ate similar amounts!

QueenMabby · 27/07/2023 07:52

Ooof. Just been on the scales. 1/2 stone. Exactly 7lb. Weighed in at 9st 6:8lb. Now to start back again on getting rid of it!

I don't drink normally (no clue why I do on holiday) so that'll be a chunk of calories gone straight away. I'll focus on whole foods, minimal upf and lots of veg. More NEET too. To be fair I should get all my steps in today just doing all the holiday laundry!

Now off to find my baggiest jeans.....

It is easily done OP. THing is, I find it comes off quite quickly as you know what you need to do and are motivated after holiday. I’d be relieved if mine was only half a stone by the time I get home and I’m not AI!
