Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

I took my first dose yesterday, and today I feel awful.

Had coffee and some toast. I feel sick and feel like I am actually going to vomit. It reminds me of the early days of pregnancy (no chance of this, single and not had sex in months)

Please tell me this gets better?!

I mean, I will lose weight if I feel like this haha, but I'd rather not!

If you're accepted I would expect your pen to be delivered by Wednesday. The packaging is very discreet and everything is well packed with ice packs and insulation sheets. Be warned the first shipment contains your free scales and the box is really big, not easy to hide a delivery if that size.

Second 0.25 dose just done.

No side effects.
Not noticing an obvious decrease in appetite but I've definitely grazed less this week.
Weigh in in the morning as I started last Monday but have moved to late Sunday as it will be easier when Monday is a work day.

Movingout · 08/05/2023 01:09

I'm just taken my second dose. All good, lost some weight and no side effects. However, I've just been reading about 'Ozempic Face', apparently weight loss in your face is much more prevalent when taking Ozempic than it is on only diets. Has anybody noticed this, please tell me it's not true?

mumwheresmyribena · 08/05/2023 07:42

@Movingout It's not true. It's been discussed here a lot, do a search for it on this group. It's just "I lost weight and some from my face". Lots of people are thrilled with the result some aren't so blame Ozempic.

I think if you lose weight very quickly you will notice it on your face, with any diet.

As long as you don't lose weight too drastically it shouldn't be a problem. Hence it's not a good idea to avoid eating even if you have no appetite on Ozempic.

LimeBasilu · 08/05/2023 12:21

0.5 really starting to give up the ghost on me now in its fourth week! Only had it on Thursday but hunger back with a vengeance and put 0.5kg back on so far 😤

6lbs down week 1.

Just had an email from juniper to say my next order will arrive this week. Does it just run on without my renewing? I’m not sure I’m going to bother when the first month is over as it’s not really having much effect now. First week was great, not much doing since then.

Are you on 0.25 moving up to 0.5? Surely if you’re still titrating and not yet on the full therapeutic dose it’s too soon to say it’s not working.

How to tell people you haven't done the first bit of research about a serious drug you've decided to start taking, without saying you haven't done the first bit of research about a serious drug you've decided to start taking...

AutisticLegoLover · 08/05/2023 15:43

Are all companies upping the price and making it one dose per 10 days?

How are some people getting it for £195 from juniper and saying they've just signed up, but the price is £295 on the site? I'm stunned at the £295 along with the arbitrary dosing schedule.

Whisper23 · 08/05/2023 15:57

@AutisticLegoLover Probably ordered before the price went up. We bought from Juniper on Thursday while it was still £145 (with the intro discount code), has been authorised but not received yet.

I know you are doing well with your calorie counting @AutisticLegoLover; are you thinking of signing up for Ozempic?

Shookethtothecore · 08/05/2023 16:16

Hello-
im looking to loose a stone, normally I could do this relatively easily but I’m noticing with age it’s getting harder. I’m thinking about getting some but wonder if it’s worth it for a relatively small amount of weight to loose. I’m interested in peoples thoughts. Thanks x

It depends what your BMI is. I believe it is being prescribed to those who have a BMI over 30 or over 27 with another co-morbidity. If you only have a stone to lose I would assume that you wouldn't meet this criteria?

@AutisticLegoLover Quickmeds is the same price it's been since Feb and the dosage is as standard and as labelled in the official info. But they're not a recurring order place like Juniper - advantages and disadvantages in that you're free to order what and when you want, but (at present) you have to be on the ball and order when their stock is replenished. Can't speak for anyone else, I've only used ever used Quckmeds.

@AutisticLegoLover Also Quickmeds is a straightforward pharmacy not a "weightloss/health coach" clinic

Twiglets1 · 08/05/2023 17:35

I would doubt the integrity of any “coaching” clinic that randomly decides to tell new clients to go against manufacturer’s dosing guidelines just because it suits their agenda now they are short of stock.
People are probably better off buying from a straightforward pharmacy and doing their own research into how & when to use Ozempic for weight loss.

Do you need to lose a stone to achieve a healthy BMI or are you already a healthy BMI and wanting to be thinner? Either way, this drug is not intended for you and anyone who prescribes it should be struck off.

SarahC50 · 08/05/2023 18:44

@Twiglets1 I've actually found my juniper really good. I had bad side effects the first few weeks and a pharmacist phoned me twice to offer advice. The slack threads are rubbish as clogged the Mumsnet ones are far more useful. I've found my health coach who is a qualified dietician really helpful she's looked at my diet and given me lots of advice about the drug,my diet and exercise. We also get weekly information emails this week it was all about plateaus. I personally like this support and prefer this to using a straightforward pharmacy especially when it's not my GP prescribing so I can't ask them advice.

eloquent · 08/05/2023 19:04

Can I use my manual prescription for other places?

If so, does anybody know how?

Thanks
