Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

I have a similar issue with the side effect of diarrhea which can come on very suddenly. Personally I'd pause it to concentrate on the new job and then try again.
I stopped ozempic for a few weeks as couldn't handle the not knowing when I'd need to dash to the toilet. Since I restarted I'm keeping a journal to see if I can establish a pattern eg whether it's a certain number of days after the jab or something specific I'm eating/drinking.
Good luck with the new job x

Thanks so much! I am definitely going to have a few weeks break. I have one month in for training then I can work from home.

I think I will follow what you’ve done and see if there’s a pattern or anything that triggers it. Have you noticed anything in particular?

ohangel · 24/06/2023 13:36

Thanks for the advice, I haven't changed my diet much but am eating smaller portions.
I'm noticing it's usually the middle days between injections that I have the worst time of it but no other patterns yet.

Ok with loose stools this can just be constipation. What happens is that you don’t go enough and then it over flows around what is stuck. I have very slow bowel motility and chronic constipation but it can be confusing when it’s loose, but it’s not always food its self that’s setting it off.

This is interesting because when I had bad d&v I definitely felt like my digestive system had got too full and the food had nowhere to go so it came out both ends (simultaneously). I have realised that it has coincided with me taking an iron supplement as my levels were low which obviously can cause digestive issues too.

I need to pop to H&B later so will look for some fybrogel or similar.

Hi
Hopefully this is the correct place to post this.

I'm ok ozempic on 0.25 almost through with my third week and I inject in Wednesday mornings.
I'm traveling next Monday but really concerned about symptoms while away and at an all inclusive. Would it be wise to not dose or do half a dose? (8 clicks I think) not sure what to do...

Just nervous as I'll have limited control over what food is on offer and I'd rather not be super groggy or nauseated. The past week I've been good and appetite dropped significantly.
Any advice? X

Peridot1 · 27/06/2023 13:10

@Blueskies55 - it’s very hard to say as everyone can be so different with how they react. And you are on the lowest dose. To be honest I probably wouldn’t have started so close to going away but that’s done now. You could carry on or stop and restart when you get back. I took a break when I went away and it was fine. I still had some appetite suppression but I had been in it for longer.

Same as peridot, I dont take the shot when going away.

SOWK · 27/06/2023 13:50

Just had an email from Manual - they want to keep me on 0.5 for a 4th month and increase the price by £50. I think they are crooks tbh, they claim patient care but all their decisions seem based on profit.
has anyone seen any suppliers with stock of either 0.5 or 1 please?

Marchflower · 27/06/2023 15:06

Hi all, I’m on day 20 of 0.5mg of Ozempic - prescribed by an endocrinologist as I also have PCOS. I’ve woken up today feeling like I have flu - my bones ache. I’m also feeling exhausted. At the moment I feel like it’s not doing much - although the food noise is calmer so I’m eating a bit less, I’ve stopped moving because Im so tired (previously I’d do lunch break walks and a couple of gym classes a week). So I’m still on the same net calories.

Any tips for fatigue and aches? Im trying to be good on sleep hygiene, avoid white carbs/sugar and eat good foods and take vitamins. I also take Sertraline so not sure if that makes things worse

Marchflower · 27/06/2023 19:52

Ah ignore my last post - it turns out the flu-like symptoms are actually covid 😔I’ve definitely been fatigued since taking O but this is something else - relieved it’s not the medication symptoms since it’s working wel with helping me control bingeing

Lo89 · 27/06/2023 22:01

Does anyone else barely 💩 I'm lucky if I'm going every 3-4 days and if I do it's like the Easter bunny has dropped a few mini nugs.

I've started eating flaxseeds to help move things along I'm not in any pain but suggestions would help? 🚽 😳

proteacat · 29/06/2023 16:38

I just got approved by manual so excited to start. How much did everyone pay if you don't mind? I've paid £239 and then it'll be £299 there after - looking at this thread I feel like I've paid £100 more? Have a I been ripped off??

Peridot1 · 29/06/2023 17:17

@proteacat - due to the huge shortage issue lots of suppliers have upped their prices considerably. It’s not the best time to start to be honest. Supply issues are unlikely to settle until next year.

A question for those who started on the 0.25mg pen...

I’ve read there is actually much more in the pen than the 4 x 0.25 doses so I expected there to be some fluid left after the 4th dose. I’ve now taken my 4th dose and the fluid level hasn’t even moved, it still looks the same as when I got the pen 4 weeks ago.

I primed the needle on first use and there is the drop of fluid on the end when I withdraw the needle but the fluid level in the window literally hasn’t moved - there is no air bubble as I was expecting as the fluid level dropped

Has this happened for others?

Yes you have.

I'm really struggling to get hold of 1mg normally get from health express but nothing there for last few days none on quick meds either. Anybody know of anywhere else?

I find most places have better stock at the beginning of the month vs the end, although maybe shortages are getting bad enough that’ll stop.

Have you tried QuickMeds just after 6pm? I did that a few nights in a row - nothing at 6pm but then randomly checked again and was able to order at around 6:30pm

It’s worth going through the consultation in advance so you know what it’s going to ask and have your answers ready. One of them was waist measurement for example so I was faffing about measuring!

I paid £173.94 and that was with £5 off code (REPEAT5). Good luck!

Bargellobitch · 29/06/2023 20:41

Hey how's everyone doing?

I haven't posted on here for a week or so and I might have changed usernames! Anyway on 3rd dose of 0.5mg thought I'd share how I'm doing.

I d been making a good amount of effort to eat high protein, lots of veg etc. Then I've had a very stressful time at work and found I could still manage crisps and choc. So even though I was on 0.5 when I was eating more crap I was hungrier. Which kinda shows how much sugar leads to hunger. But I was still eating smaller portions.

Reset this week to try and lose a bit before my birthday. Eating as I should, but still will room for some treats (my approach as too much restriction isn't good for me long term)
I injected yesterday and although I'm kinda hungry I can't eat much at all today. Similar yesterday.

So I think so far I'm kinda happy with how it's going on terms of appetite and how much I can eat. But will see on the weight loss, I'm trying to remember what you all say about getting to a therapeutic dose. So think I'll see how I'm doing once I've done my first 1mg pen in full (probs 6 weeks away) to judge what I do longer term.

I can't remember how far along other people are either!

whereareyousleep · 29/06/2023 22:22

@LolaLopez78 I've tried a few times on quick meds but no luck. Quick question when I get to the end of the consultation can I just keep refreshing the page to see if it comes in stock or do I have to go back to the beginning and keep doing the consultation every time?

I refreshed the product page and it showed as in stock so I then had to do the consultation from again - it did say on their site that they release stock at 6pm but it was a bit later than that when I managed to order

liz4change · 30/06/2023 12:31

Hi 5 weeks in, can I join?

Did my first 0.5 mg dose on Weds, weirdly feel hungrier but oddly queasy. Scales have gone a but sideways this week although I am down 4kg in 5 weeks so can't complain.

Howtonamechange · 01/07/2023 22:22

Hi everyone,
I'm new here. I've managed to get my hands on 0.5 pen. I know that the manufacturer recommends starting on. 25 but they are all out of stock. Has anyone started on 0.5? How was it?

Howtonamechange · 01/07/2023 22:23

Is it possible to take 0.25 from a 0.5 pen?

kkr168 · 01/07/2023 23:49

@Howtonamechange yes, you just need to count 19 clicks
