Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

Is anyone here with Manual? if yes, is it worth having a call with the health coach?

Hello, could anyone post a link to the correct needles to buy please (hoping to get an extra dose out of my 0.25 pen), thank you

Fortheloveofus · 06/06/2023 10:07

I'm on second 0.5 injection on sunday and still not felt any real appetite loss. Ive woken up starving again. I've put back on 2lb of the 5 I lost. My first injection was 7 weeks ago and I'm really just losing the will. I can't afford to ge doing this if its not going to work for me. I feel more than a little despondent. Anyone else waited this long for it to start working?

I need a new 1.00 pen now, I'll shout if I find some in stock. Everyone seems to be out at the moment

I'm getting quite worried about this tbh. I've got another pen. But its just 0.5mg so I'm still not up to fill does and then I'm thinking I'll struggle to get the 1mg making it all not very worthwhile! Urgh

Peridot1 · 06/06/2023 11:21

@Fortheloveofus - it can take time for it to build up. It can be slower for some people. Have you listened to or read the Zoe Podcast? They cover that. It’s here

ZOE Podcast: Can Ozempic (Semaglutide) Solve Weight Loss?

Jonathan speaks to Dr. Robert Kushner, the lead investigator of a huge recent trial, about whether semaglutide really is a game-changing treatment for obesity.

Perfect, thank you@Whisper23

Btrsun10 · 06/06/2023 13:14

@Fortheloveofus
I've been on it for 10 weeks and have a loss of 5lbs!! Honestly, I just have no loss of appetite and have not lost the "chatter"! It is very disheartening and I'm on the verge of giving up on the Ozempic.
I lost 3st before doing low carb and upping my movement. I feel that that is pretty much what I'm doing now and I'm not convinced that the Oz is making any difference at all.
With the current shortages, I might just stop at the end of this pen and hopefully continue with the low carbing and more exercising.
Definitely does not work for everyone sadly.

Gingergirl70 · 06/06/2023 14:48

Thank you @Peridot1 and @Btrsun10 for replying. I have honestly read evety bit of information I could get me hands on, both before and after committing to the process.
Maybe I'm just one of those people it doesn't work for.
Since beginning of peri, I have been unable to lose 1lb despite low carb, exercise, calorie counting. I just thought this might give me the kick start I needed.
I have a couple of weeks in my second pen left so I'll at least give it until then.

Whisper23 · 07/06/2023 18:46

Quickmeds have 1mg pens available. I've just ordered one.

MotherofTerriers · 07/06/2023 19:23

Thanks Whisper23

Whisper23 · 07/06/2023 19:38

Interesting to see Quickmeds also have 1.5mg dose on their website now (they send 1 x 1mg pen and 1 x 0.5mg pen), though its out of stock currently.

CaptinKitty · 08/06/2023 00:29

just posting to say I’ve been on ozempic for 11 weeks now and hit 20lbs lost. It’s been slow and stead at 2lbs per week with minimal side effects. The steady weight loss without having to adhere to a strict meal replacement diet or obsessing over calories consumed has been life-changing for me.

I’ve done 6 weeks at 0.25mg and 6 weeks at 0.5mg. The stock shortages are slightly worrying, but the volume im eating currently on 0.5 is still very low so not too concerned at present, but keeping a keen eye on various websites to see if stock appears. My hope is to get to the end of august, take stock and then DH and I will decide if we are ready to take the plunge in trying for a second baby (with the 2 month break from the drug as advised).

Hello, do you know if they let you buy a 1mg if you’ve not bought the lower doses from them previously? Thanks

Yes I think so, there's a box where you can say what you're on currently then after the you finish the questionnaire it'll let you choose which pen you want.

I bought 0.25mg from health express and then 0.5mg from quick meds I just said in the consultation form I'd been on the other dose from health express and it was fine

lardass88 · 08/06/2023 09:41

Like most people I'm struggling to find pens in stock. Was wondering if anyone is tempted to try the raw semiglutide ? I see it's all over TikTok ..

mumwheresmyribena · 08/06/2023 10:55

@lardass88 If it was being being prescribed by a licenced prescriber and pharmacy and requested to inform my GP I'd consider it. But as it isn't, it will be being sold illegally and without safety checks. Buying Semaglutide from TilTok is the equivalent of buying drugs off the street or steroids down the gym. I don't do any of that and can't conceive of a time I ever would.

lardass88 · 08/06/2023 11:19

Oh I absolutely agree- I'd never touch it and have queried on the TikTok videos about it not being uk licensed , it all seems very dodgy to me

Please don't do this!

lardass88 · 08/06/2023 13:44

As I have said I am not tempted to try this at all due to it not being uk registered

Fortheloveofus · 08/06/2023 13:50

@CaptinKitty well done. You're doing so well. Can I ask if it started working for you from the very start?
