Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

Just reporting in, I've now lost 2 stones in 8 weeks. I've moved up to 1.0 dose now. Straight away noticed constipation. I'm drinking lots of water and eating fruit and veg but might need to get Senocot tablets or similar.

caringcarer · 25/05/2023 13:53

@HolidayHappy123, the injection is tiny, less than 1cm long and as thin as a hair. You don't even feel it go in. It will bring your blood sugar under control. Mine used to go up really high but is now between 5-7 all of the time. You won't feel so hungry so naturally eat less. Try to eat high protein and vitamins and low carbs to help to aid the weight loss. I've lost 2 stones in 8 weeks but still have another 6 or 7 stones to go. I know I can do it with Ozempic. I've never been able to lose weight before and my GP has suggested once I get back to a healthier BMI that I stay on a low dose of 0.25 to help me avoid putting weight back on and to keep my blood sugar under control.

Reading all of these posts and getting very worried about supply issues. I am only on my first pen but don’t want to get to week 4 and realise everywhere is out of stock. But as I haven’t told my DH I also don’t want a second pen sitting in the fridge for 3 weeks and can’t really afford to get a second one right now. Urgh!

I read someone put it in a garlic puree box in the fridge. It was not discovered.

Quick question. I am 10 weeks in, just took my 2nd dose today. I've had a couple of glasses of wine tonight (not had any issue previously) and have vomited all my dinner up! Has anyone had this or is it likely I have a little bug? Thanks

I think a few people have found drinking alcohol with Ozempic made them sick. My nurse told me to avoid alcohol but if I must have it make it be on the last day before the new injection.

Diedre44 · 25/05/2023 15:39

Has anyone noticed any issues coinciding with their cycle at all?
I'm day 4 ovulation today and I am absolutely ravenous. I have probably eaten 2 days worth of my weekly calorie allowance today already and I've just bunged a ready meal lasagne in the microwave as I'm still hungry.
I'm not beating myself up over eating extra as I'll just have a lower calorie few days after today.

Kandyflossclouds · 25/05/2023 20:11

Hey all

Thinking of trying Ozempic. Could someone please point me in right direction of where to order and prices 🥰 TIA

RichTeaCheddars · 25/05/2023 20:14

If you have a quick read of some of the pages of this thread you'll find where people are generally ordering from. Also a Google will bring up various pharmacies

I found this. About 2 weeks in, I had a couple of small glasses of white wine one weekend - and immediately felt really queasy. I didn’t actually throw up but it was a close thing. It put me off drinking alcohol though which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Peridot1 · 26/05/2023 09:02

@Kandyflossclouds - there is a huge shortage of Ozempic at the moment which is likely to continue for months. I’m not sure I would risk starting at the moment in case supplies run out completely and you have to stop.

Have you thought about Saxenda instead? It’s a similar drug. And is available from Lloyds pharmacies weight loss services and Superdrug. There aren’t supply issues with that.

That’s fantastic, well done! You must be really pleased:) I can really feel the difference with my 21lbs off (although literally no one has noticed the difference as I’m quite round still lol). I can feel lighter though and glad it’s in the way down. We’re at a similar stage, this was my first week in 1mg and I’m 9 or 10 weeks in. Felt slightly queasy on injection day but no other side effects.

caringcarer · 26/05/2023 10:06

@OzHopes, I injected my first dose of 1.0 on Wednesday. I've had first side effects of constipation since but all I could eat yesterday were a few grapes and later a piece of fish with some carrots and garden peas. I know I should be eating more but I know I'll feel queezy if I do. I'm thinking the higher dose may take a few days if not longer to get used too in my system. I had a takeaway for dinner the evening before and could only eat about 6 chips and 3 BBQ ribs. I know I've got to force more fruit and veg in. I've gone down a size in trousers but just wearing old smaller ones. I don't really want to buy too much new clothes as I'm loosing quite quickly. I might buy a new summer dress though and some new sandals.

OzHopes · 26/05/2023 10:22

@caringcarer you eat way less than me! I can still eat quite a bit but it’s adding up to around 1300/1400 calories and I tend to have small snack things through the day, have dinner and then not eat again until the next day. I need to eat more veg also, fine with fruit but just been lazy about sorting veg recently.
definitely treat yourself to a new outfit! I’ve been getting into ‘old’ smaller size clothes that I had already and just don’t feel as squashed in clothes generally, feels great to wear some different clothes though. Still a long way to go, maybe 5 stones? I hope I continue to get benefit and access ozempic. It’s felt like such a freedom not to obsess about food.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 26/05/2023 12:42

First ever time having digestive discomfort last night. Clearly what I ate didn't agree.

I'm biting the bullet and getting the prescription renewed despite originally deciding not to keep on committing to the expense of it.

PlasticineKing · 26/05/2023 13:20

Has anyone else ordering from Manual had them call and request to put you in Rybelsus? I’m not good at daily meds and finding ozempic working so well for me. 14lbs in 6 weeks. Have just ordered next one from quick meds so will be avoiding Manual for now.

Peridot1 · 26/05/2023 13:41

@PlasticineKing - there are huge shortages of Ozempic at the moment which will be why Manual tried to get you to switch.

OP posts:
PlasticineKing · 26/05/2023 13:46

@Peridot1 I know there’s shortages… but I’ve just gone back on their website and the price now says from £225 (more than when I signed up) and allowing a consultation to start still which I find a bit cheeky when they’ve called me to say “no can do”. Will swap if I have to but just managed to order next pen from QuickMeds no bother. Would rather dose weekly as I know what I’m like!

Amazonmulu · 27/05/2023 13:07

Does anyone have a discount code for PharmacyPlanet?

sleepingbuddha · 31/05/2023 09:58

Just had an email from juniper saying that the price is going up from my next order (3rd pen) from £195 to £225.

LittleDitto · 31/05/2023 10:02

I just got the email too. Just totally gutted. Unless I literally stop buying food I can’t afford to stay on it. It’s the only thing that’s ever worked for me and and the first time in my entire life that I’ve never felt such hate and disgust for my own body.

sleepingbuddha · 31/05/2023 10:12

Sorry to hear that @LittleDitto. I haven't shopped around but maybe you will be able to get it cheaper elsewhere. It will be worth a look.

Scaredtobegin · 31/05/2023 11:04

I got the same email. Very disappointed.

whereareyousleep · 31/05/2023 13:48

I'm with juniper and I'm not happy with the increase. I've ordered from health express and put juniper on hold for a couple of weeks going to see what happens after that.

whereareyousleep · 31/05/2023 13:49

Forgot to add it was 169.99 from health express for 0.5mg

DrMadelineMaxwell · 31/05/2023 14:06

Same email here too. I'm using the 1mh pen to get 8nx 0.5 doses so it is not as bad as if it only lasted me a month. But I don't think I will be reordering after this pen.

Sooty3 · 31/05/2023 18:44

Hi all, has anyone used the virtual weight loss clinic? If so, how did you find them? Thanks
