Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

Has anyone else seen the worrying videos on TikTok of myjuniper and manual costumers switching to what can only be described as something from a chemistry set? With inkjet printed labels etc?

Is that the raw (for want of a better word) semaglutide that needs to be mixed up with something else before being injected? I've seen worrying things in the press about it being sold on Facebook etc but with very little instruction on how to use it properly to ensure correct dosage.

Peridot1 · 17/05/2023 14:34

No that sounds really worrying. Why would anyone do that? I know in the US you can get it from what they called compound chemists who make their own I think but I’m not sure about here in UK.

I've reported to TikTok but here's one:

OzHopes · 17/05/2023 18:43

I’ve not used this site so can’t say how quick or reliable they are!

UsernameFail · 17/05/2023 19:06

I haven't seen that website before @OzHopes
Great price as I just paid £175 with Quickmeds for 0.5mg

Springclean8 · 17/05/2023 19:06

Manual are posting that you won't get ozempic but an import which is exactly the same as ozempic.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 17/05/2023 21:34

I'm just over 3 weeks in. Does anyone else have a sort of peppery taste in their mouth? Together with producing more saliva? Confused

MrsPerfect12 · 18/05/2023 04:16

Is Ozempic causing insomnia for anyone?
I've never had a problem with sleep before but since I've went up to 0.5 I can't sleep. I either fall asleep and wake 2-3 hours later of
like tonight I don't sleep at all. Then maybe after 4 days I sleep the full night - probably
out of sheer exhaustion.
please tell me this will pass?

MuMuMuuuum · 18/05/2023 05:40

@MrsPerfect12 it has this effect on me, day 3 & 4 post injection are the worst. I'm in week 14 and no signs of fading.

MrsPerfect12 · 18/05/2023 07:39

@MuMuMuuuum that's the answer I didn't want. I look like I have black eyes 😬

RausageSoul · 18/05/2023 08:01

I used rightangled for my first pen and they were really good. Good comms and quick delivery. They just went out of stock so I had to move to myjuniper

OzHopes · 18/05/2023 09:29

good to hear that about right angled @RausageSoul , I ended up buying one as it was a better price. I’ve read that they get limited stock in quite frequently so good to check often.
Has anyone else heard how long the ozempic shortages are likely to go on? A previous pp heard that it could be for the rest of the year:(

MrsPerfect12 · 18/05/2023 13:33

@OzHopes gosh I hope not.
dont fancy doing the mix thing either.

UsernameFail · 18/05/2023 13:41

Good to hear about Rightangled :)

Sooty3 · 18/05/2023 17:15

Have you found all of them want pictures now? I didn’t initially have to send any now they all seem to be asking

WhyDoesItAlways · 18/05/2023 17:20

Can't remember if I saw on this thread or another I'm following so will post on both just in case.

Someone asked about donating blood while on ozempic. Well, I went to donate today and had to speak to the head nurse who asked lots of questions about where I got it from as I didn't have a physical prescription to show her. I showed her the juniper website as there is a bit at the bottom of the 'about us' page which shows that they are a registered pharmacy. She then had to call their head office to double check that was ok. Their only concern was that I was getting it from a registered pharmacist. So if anyone is planning on giving blood I would have this info handy. Got the ok in the end and was able to donate.

NigellaAwesome · 18/05/2023 21:36

I managed to order the 1mg pen from Quick Meds today. I forgot to use the £5 off code I was just so excited to see that they had stock!

For a pp who was asking, REPEAT5 usually works for Quick Meds to give £5 off.

It is finally starting to have a noticeable impact on me, now that I have moved to 1mg. I was away for a few days and I really struggled to eat even 1/2 a sandwich. We went out to dinner and I could only manage a 1/3 of what I would normally have. I think I have lost just over 3.5kg, which isn't much compared to some others, but I am over the moon. Week 9 for me.

I am waking up a 3 /3.15 every night for 2/3 hours but I wonder if it might be low blood sugar.

Beenalongwinter · 19/05/2023 08:58

@Peridot1
I hope you don't mind me asking but are you still splitting your dose .
I was taking .5 twice a week but moved to 1mg just once a week and it is really not agreeing with me .
I am thinking about splitting the dose again or moving back to .5 mg once a week.

Peridot1 · 19/05/2023 09:16

@Beenalongwinter - no I stopped splitting the dose about five or six weeks ago. Some posters explained how the half life of the drug works and that it works best (and has only been tested) when it is administered weekly following the dosage guidance.

I will say I was originally splitting the dose based on advice from a FB group I was in which was run by the supplier I was using. And I did find initially that 0.5 twice a week worked better for me than 1mg. For a while. But then everything stalled. I knew I wanted to try going up to 1.5 and although I did 0.75 twice a week for a couple of weeks it didn’t do much and then I got concerned about doing that so I went back to 1mg once a week consistently for four weeks and and I have just this week gone up to 1.5.

in your case maybe try going back to 0.5 for a few weeks to achieve steady state and see how you feel. You could then maybe go up to 0.75 rather than straight to 1mg. If you listened to the Zoe podcast they mentioned that for some people they had to increase the dosage much slower due to side effects.

Yes I think I will go back to .5 mg
Then up to .75mg.
Many thanks .

An update about Right angled pharmacy, I ordered on evening of the 17th and it arrived this morning so good service. I’ve noticed that they often have stock nearer the end of the day, maybe other times too I don’t know but worth checking as they are a better price than a lot of places right now.
I’m 9 weeks in now and have lost about a stone and a half and reduced BMI from @42 to @38 so still a way to go but it’s been manageable and I’ve just eaten ‘sensibly’ every day without too much thought into it.
Appreciate not as easy for some people though with side effects. I’m just moving onto 1mg from next week so maybe that’s when it’ll hit me!

DrMadelineMaxwell · 19/05/2023 19:50

I'm back from a school residential with food at prescribed times and no choice of what to eat.
I have definitely turned into someone who says 'I just cant face much' and who eats a much smaller portion.

It has been carby but today I have had 2 slices of toast, 3/4 of a tuna sandwich and half a pack of crisps. I had dreams of getting a lovely takeaway tonight but cannot face it and have had nothing so far.

I had cancelled my junoer order but it shows as paused on my account at the 195 price, and I may yet unpause it when I'm on my last dose. I just wish I could get them to agree to the 1mg so I could get more doses out of it.
I def dont feel the need to go up to 1mg as this is having a noticeably but slow and easy effect without many side effects- just constipation really.
