Poor loler! Never mind, better day tomorrow. I had spaghetti bolognese with parmesan chese, chese with grapes and almonds and tea for dinner so I'm sure I had too many colouries myself.

Ags · 10/04/2008 21:37

Whats with the lemon drizzle cake obsession at the moment? Please stop talking about lemon drizzle cake. I love lemon drizzle cake. Lemon drizzle cake is one of my favourites! Mmmmm lemon drizzle cake. Obsessed? Moi?

And hold on a moment, Loler? Frozen cream egg? What the hell kinda crazy thing is that? I also love cream eggs but never had a frozen one. Please explain! Mmmm cream eggs!

Sometimes I wonder why I have a weight problem!!

mammyjo · 11/04/2008 21:16

Hi all. Odd diet week for me this week. Ended up in casualty a couple of nights ago with chest pain. Turns out I have probably got gall stones. Consequently I am frightened to eat anything remotely fatty now as the pain was excruciating. Am on regular pain killers atm, and just have to hope things settle down on their own.
I had better get a good loss for this!!

Well done to all the losers, everyone is doing so well and this thread is such a morale booster. Have a wedding in June and would really like to be a size smaller by then

Ags · 11/04/2008 23:35

Oh Mammyjo, you have my sympathy. I have gall stone problems too. And I remember the first attack was soooo scary! Every few months I get an attack especially after a fatty meal. I think it is worse than labour! I had a bad attack a few weeks ago and wondered why as I have been eating an incredibly low fat diet. When I looked up information about it, weight loss can trigger an attack too! No win situation! I am waiting to get to a sensible weight before going to the doctor to see if I can be referred to have my gall bladder removed. Seems to be the only cure. Not sure if this sort of thing is hereditary but EVERYONE in my family has had their gall bladder out so not surprising that I didn't escape.

Hope that you get that good loss you are hoping for. You deserve it!

mammyjo · 12/04/2008 07:58

Ags, I agree with the pain being like labour! That was the only thing I could compare it to so that my dh understood how bad it was! So unfair that it can be triggered by weight loss though, you do the right thing and look what happens!

bananaknickers · 12/04/2008 18:17

Ags- If you freeze chocolate in chunks or whatever, it takes ages to eat it ( the pleasure lasts longer). Have done it with curly worlys.

Can I join you all on this thread please? It's my first wiegh in on Monday night.

mammyjo · 12/04/2008 19:41

Welcome bananaknickers (fab name!) Of course you can join. This thread is really supportive, and a great morale boost in times of need!

moodlumthehoodlum · 13/04/2008 21:25

Evening thin people

Am good and bad. Did really well this week. Lost 2.5lb at my weigh in, so went wild this weekend. Had a curry & wine on Friday night. And today had a bacon sarnie for breakfast, roast chicken, roast potatoes and yorkie pud. Yum scrum. So lean days to come this week I think.

Hello Banana. Thanks for the tip. Any way to prolong the pleasure of eating chocolate is a good thing! Welcome by the way. What plan are you doing? Some of us on here are doing weight watchers, some slimming world, some cambridge diet and some doing their own thing and weighing in at home. So there is a great variety.

Moodlum, well done on the 2.5 lbs. Hope that your lean week goes ok. The thought of another good loss should spur you on. I went to the dogs last night with a crowd of friends and totally went to the dogs with what I ate and drank! I was like a thing possessed. But it was well worth a day off and I really enjoyed it. However, am trying to make up for it today and microwaved mushrooms have featured large in today's diet!

Good luck to everyone else for the weigh ins.

Oh guys I'm struggling.

I'm struggling with motivation to NOT put stuff in my mouth. I don't want to stay fat, I don't, but I need to regain the iron willpower I had 3 months ago, because I've got an awful feeling I've put weight on this week. I've written NOTHING down.

moodlumthehoodlum · 13/04/2008 22:41

Colditz I think you are being hard on yourself. You have lost so much weight and done so well. I'm terrible, if I don't write stuff down then it all goes off the rails. But, the best thing you can do is write this week off, remember what you've achieved so far - you would have to have lots and lots of bad weeks and days to put back on what you have lost.

Ags · 13/04/2008 23:11

Sorry to hear you are struggling Colditz. Am a bit confused though. You put a loss of 1.5 lbs on the list. Or is this for last week?

Anyway, irrelevant. I have run out of my ww journal which means this is week 13 for me and I haven't written anything down. I know that I HAVE to write it all down as soon as I've eaten it to keep myself on track. I also tend to write it down while the family are finishing their food as my miniscule portions don't take that long to eat. Hey, it keeps my mind off the fact that I am not still eating! Also, if I am having a bad time with temptation, I plan each day what exactly I am going to eat and point it out. Somehow, it seems easier then to avoid temptation as I am not considering possibilities just eating what I have already decided to eat.

You have my absolute empathy! Been there, seen it and bought the xxl t-shirt! Keep posting and also, avoid the thread about people not being able to maintain weight loss after reaching goal at weight watchers. Just read it and feel like an eclair NOW!

SmugColditz · 13/04/2008 23:31

sorry that was last weeks, my eweigh in is on tuesday, I can either not eat and try to claw some back or try to run it off. Or live with it.

Ahhh boo. My son's birthday cake Happened.

Ags · 14/04/2008 00:10

You know I think you just write it off. A bad week and that is that. You have lost a shed load and try to keep the focus on the total loss. I think if you try to really starve yourself or run yourself silly it might be counter productive. And I mean, what mere mortal can resist birthday cake. It would be rude not to!

loler · 14/04/2008 09:49

Colditz - I haven't been writing anything down for about 3 weeks. Somehow I keep losing not quite sure how as I must be going over my points. I guess I must be doing more excercise than I think. I think I need a gain to shock me back into doing it properly again. I like the idea of planning the day ahead, might try planning a weeks meals then breaking down daily. Is supose rather than think about what can I have eat now, it's what can I eat today/tomorrow.

Mammyjo - hope you're feeling better. My mum had gall stones remember she used to go green whenever she ate fatty foods. Not nice at all.

Frozen cream eggs are yummy, and do last much longer.

bananaknickers · 14/04/2008 22:46

Thanks Ages, I am thrilled. I have found it so easy this week.Hope it stays that way. I am doing WW by the way.

bananaknickers · 14/04/2008 22:47

Ags that is meant to say. Sorry . I have been drinking wine (and it is all accounted for)

Ags · 14/04/2008 22:50

I am on ww too. I am 12 weeks in and still finding it relatively ok so hopefully you will be the same. I think a trick is to work out what you absolutely can't compromise on and allow points for that so you don't feel deprived. My absolute essential is a Crunchie! Heres wishing you an equally great week!

bananaknickers · 14/04/2008 22:56

I have had a treatsize bag of chocolate buttons everyday. It's just what I need

mammyjo. Sorry you've not been well.

Colditz - I've hit a tough spot recently. Too many birthdays and associated treats, and various other things. I seem to have got back on track the last couple of days, but it's been hard. I've lost a pound this week, which is a marvel in itself.

I've noticed it in inches more than pounds though. My trousers almost fell down at work today (a pair i'd not worn for two weeks). I had to get two safety pins to keep them up

Ags · 14/04/2008 23:00

Well done VVV! It is new trousers time I think!
