thanks ags, that's a good idea about going just the once to get the info, might work and I guess I could go back if I find the first go helpful?

Have got my book out and it says I can 20 points. at least I know where i'm starting from

I'll look at the ww website to find a meeting nearby and will printoff the registration voucher then at least if I decide to go i'm all ready

i'll keep posting on here as it does help, i'm just being a bit of a pathetic muppet atm sure i'll snap out of it sooner or later

Eddas · 10/03/2008 08:58

ooooooooo they have a 10am meeting on a wed about 2 mins away from my house, that could be good. I assume they wouldn't mind me taking my son along. He's only 11 months, maybe the oldies would like to coo over him

OP posts:
Ags · 10/03/2008 09:26

Oh brilliant Eddas. In my experience, the day times ones always have loads of babies and toddlers at them and nobody minds. Bet the oldies would love him!

ShortandSweet · 10/03/2008 09:32

Go for it Eddas. I am going to my first class on Wed too. I have been following the plan since last Monday and have lost 2lb so far. Which I am really pleased with. I was at SW and lost nothing since Aug 07. So aiming to lose a stone by May 19th.

Eddas · 10/03/2008 09:50

oh good ags, had been thinking they must get lots of mothers at the daytime ones, might even make some more friends to have coffee with

shortandsweet, we'll be starting together then, well done on the loss. always nice to get off to a good start. I lost a stone from sept to dec which i was pleased with and have lost 4lbs since mid jan which is good but I need something to keep me going because atm the chocolate and crisps are easily eaten DH says I look slimmer though. I think it might be because I am wearing tighter clothes. I was wearing lots of smock tops which are great but tend to make everyone look pg, unless you look like a stick have also managed to lose just enough to fit some smaller trousers which means the baggy ones have gone, so I guess that would make me look slimmer

I have asked dh his opinion and he says to go for it and he will also follow it using my books yipee! Now all I have to do is stick to it last time I tried I got to just under 11 stone and felt so much more confident, but that seemed to give me the false impression I could eat more and put the weight back on

Anyway, enough doom from me I will be off to ww meeting on wed and fingers crossed I keep at it. Feel free to give me a virtual slap or kick p the a@*& to helpnot too hard though

mammyjo · 10/03/2008 13:48

Hello! I am a WW class goer to Eddas. I just cant do it by myself, and I know that without it I would not now be a whole stone lighter. That said, I do still stray frequently, but have managed to claw my way back so far! My class is often quite cheesy, but I do try to stay as I feel that I get a bit more motivation that way.

Well done to everyone, we are all doing so well, this thread is fab!

mammyjo · 10/03/2008 13:49

Too, even

ShortandSweet · 10/03/2008 14:22

Eddas for 3.5pts you could have a curly wurly (2.5) and a packet of ww cheesy puffs(1) every day and still lose

Eddas · 10/03/2008 19:25

hi mj, a stone is bloody good going and definately inspiration to get me to a ww meeting I have printed off my registartion voucher and am waiting for wed!

Shortandsweet, I know i can have something but you know what it's like when it's restricted to certain things. Haven't tried ww crisps are they ok? Tried some Boots healthy eating wotsit subsitutes and they were a bit grim

vvvq, wow 21lbs that's so much, well done

OP posts:
mammyjo · 11/03/2008 13:30

Eddas, I don't think real wotsits are that many points anyway. On the WW site it says really cheesy ones are 1.5. Some crisps are quite low, you just need to be choosy!

Stayed the same this week which is no surprise. I counted really well up until Friday, but then ate like a horse over the weekend. I really need a good week to spur me on again. I weighed on Saturday morning and had lost 2lbs according to my scales, but managed to throw that away by eating loads of rubbish over the weekend. Aaarrgghh!

see, i need some new books to work out points on my most favoured treats

Ags, well done, brilliant loss

OP posts:
Ags · 11/03/2008 18:09

Eddas, good luck tomorrow with the meeting. The shopping guide is invaluable to me as it contains all the treat stuff which I NEED!

Mammyjo, weekends are the hardest I think! Do you go to a class or weigh in at home? Cos it might be a good psychological idea to weigh in on a different day than Monday so it gives you a chance to recover from the weekend.

Ags · 11/03/2008 18:58

Sorry Mammyjo, just re-read your post and see that you do go to meetings too. So ignore my last bit!

I lost another pound, which - considering my weekend of cake and chip induced debauchery - was jolly good! I must do more exercise than I think I do.

Squiffy · 12/03/2008 09:08

Ags, you have made me feel so much better. I have just weighed in and am only 1 lb down which has made me so depressed - really disappointing considering I am on so few calories and have been so good on this diet. But your post really cheered me up no end - so I'm hopeful I might also have a good week now.

Not that it looks too promising.... I have a mumsnet meet-up tonight and have decided to go off-diet which is soooooooo not allowed on the CD. There will be tears before bedtime I am sure . Perhaps I can 'do a coditz' and get away with it....in fact I am sure I will...besides, meet-up food doesn't have any calories, does it? "waiter, bring me your finest frites..."

hiya, well done on the ladies, even you squiffy even though you dont' think it's good I do. Well done.

Well, i didn;t make ww today had a call from dd's preschool at 9.15 asking me to help out this morning, so I couldn't go. Can't really go next week, not if it's my first week as the car has it's MOT and car needs to be there by 11.30 so would be cutting it fine and I hate doing that.

Ah well looks like it's back to doing it alone until 2 weeks today when i can visit. I guess I could go to an evening one will search and see where and when they are.

Also, the free registration runs out on sat so not impressed i may miss out sure i'll find one somewhere

OP posts:
Ags · 12/03/2008 16:29

Well done Squiffy. Bet you will see a big loss next week.

Fantastic result Short! Bet you are ecstatic.

Eddas, shame about today but life takes over some times. I have a register free voucher in my latest mag which does not expire until 10th April and will happily post it to you if you would like. Let me know if you want it and I will give you my email so you can send me your address.

Eddas · 13/03/2008 07:18

Thanks ags, if you wouldn't mind it'd be great if you will send me the registration voucher my email is nicola l orpin at hotmail dot com (no spaces and change at and dot)

Well I weighed myself this morning and am glad to report I have somehow lost 2lbs I guess it might help that my ususal weigh in was monday, now i'll be doing wed but thought i'd get it done at ww yesterday so didn't bother at home so weighing in today Also last week when I put on was actually af week, that fact passed me by last week when I posted

I went to see some friends I haven't seen for a while and 3 out of 4 of them commented that they thought i'd lost weight so pleased, the other friend was too busy cooking and best of all, am very to say this but you'll know what I mean, they are childless friends that I go out on the town with and I felt fat in their company but not only have I lost a little weight but they seem to all have put just a little weight on so don't feel like the fatty of the bunch now Obviously I didn't tell them this and wouldn't tell anyone else in rl. But you will all understand(hopefully!)

so i'm pretty happy atm with my weight but still want to lose more as i'm too heavy and want to fit in smaller clothes
