We started on 9th January (ish) after we’d very heroically finished off the Christmas chocolate. We discussed our half-arsed plans to shift a bit of timber as we wafted our pudgy trotters vaguely towards the fruit bowl. No one really wanted to exercise properly because it’s too cold/wet/exercisey. We all love biscuits more than being thin yet we vowed to cut down on digestives. We promised, with our fingers crossed just in case. We owned our weaknesses, piggies, we owned them loud and proud and we were as determined as porky trough munchers can be, to aim for around 1lb a week weight loss.

And lo! Lazy Pig Club was born, hooray, and now we need a new thread. Let me know you’re here and how you’re doing, and new pigs are definitely more than welcome!!

Always remember our only rule and the LPC motto: “slowly, slowly - don’t make yourself sad”

I've been awol for a while but have just been reading about the fabulous achievements on here. I have taken an embarrassingly long time to lose a relatively small amount (I'm short so it looked a lot on me). I've been trying to maintain a social life and all the food/drink that goes with it so it's been slowwwwee progress. Also I've plateaued for about a month. I have now got three pounds to go but am due a city break to a destination known for its great cuisine so knows how that will go 😳

I have a question. What kind of dickhead does an at home workout for the first time in years, the day before they are in the office? With a desk on the 5th floor. And no lift.

😏I know why people like me kind of dread Xmas, Easter, birthdays, holidays etc as I just go right off track and ruin all my hard work. So hard getting back in the zone 🤦🏻‍♀️. Trying not to get disheartened… Be kind to ourselves is a good mantra 😬

Oh bloody hell, I just typed out a big long post and then the page somehow refreshed and it vanished.

In a nutshell, I was thinking of you while midnight snacking on Lindt. And also I need some salad inspo… not British salad though, I want pomegranates and quinoa and toasted healthy stuff. Wanky salad. Anyone got any wanky salad recipes?

Don’t have any recipes Mãnanarama but I sometimes make couscous and add load of pomegranate seeds, spring onion and feta. It’s delicious.

Am trying (yet) another new approach to weight loss.
Eating healthily and being sensible (basically not being a pig, controversial I know).
Yesterday, I had:
B - Greek yoghurt with berries and seeds
L - Hummus and 3 cream crackers, hard boiled egg and a pear
D - normal sized portion of risotto
Snacks - 2 ginger biscuits, 2 rich tea biscuits and a Milky Way.

Being of the piggy variety, this is LOADS less than I’ve been eating over the past few months.
So far, I’ve lost 2 lb in 2 days so I’m going to stick with it.

@Mañanarama I make a lovely wanky salad ( although that description puts all sorts of off-putting thoughts in my head)

Thanks for the salad ideas, I’ve bought a copy of the Comptoir Libanaise cookbook as I love their Middle Eastern salad-y stuff. Will let you know how that goes - just wolfed down a chicken pasty in record time and ate a shit ton of ice cream last night.

In other news - somehow a new lowest weight this morning, 9st 13.2, so that’s a total of 12.2lbs off since we started, I think.

I think it's totally fine to take a break from the wagon. I've done it this weekend too, cause the small human and I had a bunch of fun things planned that required churros and burger and chips.

I mean, no one expects to eat a single salad and instantly be a size 6. So eating a pizza or a chocolate bar isn't going to instantly wipe out all your previous good work.

Can't help with the recipes I'm afraid as I mainly eat what I did before just with substitutions. BBQ pulled chicken instead of pork, bagel thins instead of bread, turkey mince instead of beef etc. Though my weight loss is planned to be slow so I know that doesn't work for everyone!

Hello everyone! I’m back after a long spell of fatigue. I have been doing well at eating savoury foods all morning and saving sweet food for the afternoon, which was fine until I binged on mini eggs yesterday. Oops.

Anyway I still haven’t lost any weight but hey, it’ll happen one day

must admit that I’m not really doing much at the mo, so why am I soooo shocked when the scales don’t move? 😂

I lost the first 10 realllly fast and now seem to be averaging 1-2lbs a month. Whoops.

Except I was this exact weight last month. So maybe I’ve stalled. All the chocolate (and I didn’t bloody EAT chocolate until
this year!)

I’m the same Zepp, hovering at 11lbs down but seem to have slipped back into old habits like 10pm cheese and hiding chocolate. I’ve dipped below 10 stone twice but bounced back up. Maybe I should set myself a new target?

I’ve plateaued at 9st 12lb. Cream tea and cakes later...

3lb off goal weight but don’t think my body will like maintaining that.

i think you’ll go
under 10 and stay under if you keep it up. It feels like dipping your toe in cold water- body doesn’t like it to start, but eventually you chuck yourself in 🤣

Right, listen up piggos. I’m sensing many of us are in a collective rut / trough just wallowing in chocolate and cheese and other fine foods. Personally, having hit my target of under 10 I’m now 10.3 and I’m not impressed. I know this against the rules but I think I’m going to have to make myself a little bit sad this week… who’s joining me?
