Monday weigh-in for those over 14 stone

Hello All,

I really need to work up my motivation to lose weight at the moment and although I do daily personal weigh-ins I think some accountability would really help!

Would anyone like to join me?

I'm around 16 stone at the moment so it would be great to hear from others who want to lose weight but not necessarily slim from size 10 to an 8!

Happy Monday everyone.

Starting weight: 14st 12lb
last week: 14st 8.9lb
this week: 14st 7.8lb

happy it’s moving in the right direction still.

going to focus on what I’m eating more now I feel like IF is under control.

well done to everyone who have weighed in today regardless of what the scales have said.

I'm in the next stone bracket after months of yo-yoing.... Woohoo 🎉

Started in Jan at 15.9

Spent Jan to March yo-yoing between 15.5 and 15. ( Up and down each week, so depressing)

Now 14.13 ( only just in next bracket I know, but I'm taking it as a win)

😒 didn't even scrape 10k steps 1 day last week. Loved my supersize plate of Chinese on Friday night 😍 countless glasses of Prosecco and G&T what did inexpect

Last week 16st 3.9
This week 16st 4.9

As expected after a week off and weekend away!! My actual weight is +3lb compared to last Monday but the above is my weekly averages which make it look a bit better ha, I know a lb or two will be water weight and drop off today though so still don't think I've done too bad for a week off, I'm embarrassed to admit how many times I ate out Grin.

So after my spectacular effort this week I have, of course, gained 4lbs.

I am on my period so I'm expecting that, and more, to disappear next week.

Ah it's typical, but it'll just be water retention. Well done on the gym though!

Hello, I would love to join you all please. I just a smidge under 17 stone and 5'7".

I have done slimming world countless times over the years and can safely say my relationship with food is f*cked.

I have let my self fall into a hole of rewarding or consoling myself with food after a stressful day, a tiring day, a good day .......

What I plan to work on is stopping the almost daily binge after work. It's not hunger, I don't remember the last time I was hungry! I think tiredness and stress, emotional eating.

I'm not sure how to do this but I am starting a new job next week. I am hoping that the emotional stuff will even out. I have to give it a go.

I was away on monday but weighed this morning and i am dead on 14 stone. Pleasantly surprised as i overindulged at the weekend but did do lots and lots of walking which evened it out. Hope i can still stay in the group when i drop out of the 14 st range as i still have a long long way to go and need the encouragement!

Good idea, I'm really trying this week as I want to be 16st bang on by next Friday!

I tend to track all my calories first thing in the morning (and adjust for slight differences throughout the day e.g. change my potato from 300g to 280g when I've actually gone to cook it). That way I know what leeway I have through the day for a small snack or something.

Todays calories are currently standing at 1,478 (1,500 goal on weekdays).

That's exactly how I did it, started at 1700 then dropped to 1500 on weekdays after a month or so so I could have a few more over the weekend!

May I join. I weighed myself on Sunday and I weighed 15 stone. I knew I was big but…..!
I’ve had covid this week so it’s taken me a few days to get my appetite back.
I’ve made some dhal for dinner tonight for me and I’m thinking tomorrow I’ll have that with some tofu tikka and a salad.
15 stone is such a shock - I’ve just really avoided thinking about it or weighing myself.

Wasn't expecting that big of a loss tbh, deffo the worst week I've had in terms of movement but certainly not complaining! Will hopefully give me a boost to get up off the couch again.

not totally surprised it’s a gain as I was away for the weekend for a party so fasting went out the window.

I've also had a sciatica episode which has meant no exercise. Should be back to gentle stuff this week though.
