Hello All,

I really need to work up my motivation to lose weight at the moment and although I do daily personal weigh-ins I think some accountability would really help!

Would anyone like to join me?

I'm around 16 stone at the moment so it would be great to hear from others who want to lose weight but not necessarily slim from size 10 to an 8!

27/2 15st1.5
6/3 15st1.75

I’m a little disappointed it’s a gain, but I’m going to trust the process.

I’ve definitely been eating more vegetables and drinking more water.

I’m going to work on more waiting until I’m hungry and stopping when full.

Well done everyone, and agree I am really appreciating the gentle supportive vibe of this thread!

ToastyMcToastyface · 06/03/2023 19:49

Evening everyone!

last week: 14st 12lb
this week: 14st 8.8lb

very pleased with this. I have been doing really well with fasting but I didn’t expect such a drop this week.

well done to everyone for weighing in for another week. This week I’m going to try a couple of longer fasts and keep to my deficit. Also planning more exercise.

themuminator · 06/03/2023 20:44

Well done everyone on losses... or not. It is good to just show up and keep on trying!

What are everyone's goals? Personally, I'd like to need to buy smaller knickers!!

sleepingbuddha · 06/03/2023 21:04

I'm down 1lb to 14st 9. Well done everyone no matter what the scales say.

forgotname · 13/03/2023 07:38

13/03/23 -105.7kg -

very bad week. Didn't workout once and found myself snacking on the kids stuff that i apparently don't even like

06/03/23 106.6kg

27/03/23 107.7kg

LaRitournelle · 13/03/2023 07:49

06/03 - 16st 5.5lbs
13/03 - 16st 3.9lbs

Happy with that but this week is going to be a challenge as I'm on annual leave with lots of things planned...

BeastOfBODMAS · 13/03/2023 07:59

I’d love to join, desperately need some accountability.

today 14st 8.5

I’ve got down from 21st 5 over literally years of calorie counting, up and down, on and off the wagon. I’m so sick of it now but if I’m not losing I’m gaining.

I’m going to try sticking to 3 meals a day, no snacks, small improvements to habits and see where that gets me. (Probably Greggs)

linziere · 13/03/2023 08:02

27th Feb @ 17st 3lbs
6th March @ 17st 1lbs
13th March @ 16st 12lbs

Just got to keep going!

ToastyMcToastyface · 13/03/2023 08:35

Morning ever. Another Monday - well done to everyone showing up regardless of the results.
Starting weight: 14st 12lb
last week: 14st 8.8lb
this week: 14st 8.9lb

so the tiniest of gains but I did start my period over the weekend and am horribly bloated and craving ALL the carbs. So I’m not really surprised at that.

Still managing to fast which I do feel is really working for me as it’s taking away a lot of the pointless snacking and helping me use my calories more sensibly but I don’t feel too restricted when it comes to what I have in my eating window.

Hope you all have a good week!

Rumourhasit1 · 13/03/2023 08:37

Well done on the losses!

245.4lb so 1/2 lb off. TBH I'm glad about any loss this week. Been away for the weekend but also busy at work during week so not much exercise.

I really need to get more organised with lunch / dinner prep.

WelshNerd · 13/03/2023 09:15

Bore da!

Lost another pound this week taking me to 17st 1.

It's been an awful week tbh as my son has been in hospital so there was a lot of convenience food. He's made a full recovery though and I'll be in the gym later.

Hoping to see a 16 on the scales next week - for the first time since I had DD.

Ambertonix · 13/03/2023 09:47

14st 2lb this morning so only 1lb off this week but better off than on i suppose! Im over the covid and can taste everything again so definitely need to keep a check on it. Well done to everyone participating in this journey.

HamFrancisco · 13/03/2023 09:59

I'm down a little, a whisker off 15 stone 7 from a weight of 16 stone at the start of the year. I'm not really making that many sacrifices, so I could lose more and faster, but I'm so easily derailed by any sense of deprivation that I'm making very small achievable tweaks. Once I get to the half stone loss I'll add a bit more deprivation.

themuminator · 13/03/2023 10:37

Well done everyone, for losses and for keeping on going no matter what the scales say.

I'm down 2.4lbs, I had lost more but went back up a little. I think my body is going into shock mode and trying to hold onto that weight!

06/03/23 - 223.2 lbs
13/03/23 - 220.8 lbs

Inchstonesbeatmilestones · 13/03/2023 11:16

Hi all,

Can I join please?

My weight has been creeping up and up. Since January I've been messing around with the same few pounds on and off. Stared at 15.9 😬, went to 15.5 then to 15 and now keep bouncing between 15 and 15.5 depending on how much I need the loo, if you get what I mean.

I'm so frustrated I've been looking at the weight loss jabs but really can't bring myself to resort to that, plus the expense is horrendous!

Now, got to have a super strict mindset and have started sending my Nutracheck diary to the other half each day so he can encourage me rather than try to sabotage ( he doesn't do it intentionally, but come Friday night or evenings, it's difficult when he's munching away. I can be good all day but evenings are my downfall).

Never been this heavy before and to be honest, I hate what it's doing to me. It needs to be gone! Up until around ten years ago I was around 9.5 stone. went up to 11.5 stone at one point and managed to lose it but this time around I'm struggling.

Probably won't get back to my lowest weight but within a healthy BMI would be fab.

Tips, tricks, encouragement all very much appreciated 😁

I usually weigh on a Friday but can weigh on a Monday too

freshstart49 · 13/03/2023 11:36

Oh another Monday 😂
Well iv again lost the 7lb I keep putting back on I'm a serial yo-yo er
Anyway scale this morning is 14.13 my Fitbit is on my wrist, iv recognised the yo-yo in me and iv started to look at tummy tucks as motivation.
I swear no yo-yo this week I will go down in them scales ! As always I love the honesty on the threads xxx

imnotthatkindofmum · 13/03/2023 12:41

First weigh in 15st 12lb
Week 1 15st 11lb
Week 2 15st 9.6lb.

Another bit great week but better than last week!! Hopefully I'll get better at this as time goes on!

I did go to the pub this week which is very unusual for me so 3 G&Ts and then ate loads of crisps!

imnotthatkindofmum · 13/03/2023 12:44

Gonna set myself a mini goal this week to be 15 and half stone (or less!) which puts me back to where I was just before Xmas.

grosslyunfair · 13/03/2023 12:47

I nearly didn't post today because I was so depressed but decided to keep on the path.

According to the scales I gained 3lb this week. I've done nothing different and was actually better this week than the previous one. While I haven't been very strict I've definitely been monitoring what I eat and conscious about overall calories and activity. I am premenstrual so praying it's a water weight blip!

Not going to give up and have a binge but I was tempted first thing!

thinkofablinkingnamewoman · 13/03/2023 13:21

Another pound off this week - slow and steady I hope! I've not done as much exercise as I'd hoped given the weather so will get on the exercise bike later!

Oigetoffmylawn · 13/03/2023 14:16

Hello everyone.

I started on 9th Jan at 15stone 3. Which is not actually my heaviest ever (which I'm ashamed and amazed by).

Weigh in today 14st 2.5lbs. so happy to have broken the stone barrier! Averaging 1.6lbs a week which I am happy with.

SeaweedShowerGel · 13/03/2023 14:57

It's been a horrendous week of Covid in this house so no walking, no fasting (not deliberately anyway!) and just soup and toast and the odd ready meal. Now lost sense of smell and taste so I suppose the benefit is I've a reduced appetite and no interest in food! Feel like I have lost more than the scales show, but I didn't weigh first thing and had some breakfast and fluids before I remembered to weigh. I'll take it though!

Start: 15st 3
6/03/23: 15st 4.8
Today: 15st 1.8

WelshNerd · 13/03/2023 20:31

Well done everyone. I wanted to report back and say I have been to the gym!

WelshNerd · 20/03/2023 07:51

So after my spectacular effort this week I have, of course, gained 4lbs.

I am on my period so I'm expecting that, and more, to disappear next week.

It's absolutely typical isn't it. I tend to lose less when I try more! But periods make a real difference so am sure your efforts will pay off next week.

I've lost another pound - it's not spectacular but at least it's steady. Now at 14 stones 7lb
