Fast 800 diary - lots to loose

Hello

So I’ve had a rocky few months with the death of a family member and a bit of a rubbish start to the New Year with a really bad chest infection and the loss of our little Guinea Pig!

BUT I’m finally starting to feel better from the antibiotics and I’m ready to start my New Year’s resolutions all be it a week late haha!

so I have a lot to loose I’m talking maybe 7-8 stone if I was to get to where the BMI scale says I should be! But I’m not going by that I’m just hoping to get to where I feel happy and healthy! I’ve never been that thin!

im also trying for our second child and we’ve not fallen pregnant yet been well over a year! I’m waiting to see the fertility specialist but I’m convinced it’s my weight stopping me ovulating. I was 4 stone lighter when I fell pregnant with my first son!

so that’s my why! Ive chosen the Dr Mosley fast 800 method did it last year and love the WOE and it’s so easy to stick to! I lost 2 stone last year but have quickly regained some due to the bereavement and Xmas!

so I start tomorrow! I’m going to be doing a 12 week challenge for myself! But the biggest part of it is I’m going to not weigh myself for 12 weeks! (If I can stick to it) I become a bit scale obsessed!

if anyone wants to join me in a bit weightloss journey! U don’t have to be doing fast 800! Please feel free but I’m going to document my days here just for somewhere to write.

Hiya

can I join please? I am another yo yo dieter, and lockdown did me no favours! I started 2023 the heaviest I’ve ever been with 5 stone to lose 😳. I’m doing f800 too and have lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks.

it was my birthday at the weekend so I had Saturday ‘off’ didn’t go too mad but did have red wine and homemade pizza. Other than that dry Jan too and going to stick with not drinking apart from occasionally, I can’t believe how much better i feel!

I normally weigh every day and finding the fluctuations ok, despite the scales this am showing I have put a kg on, I know I haven’t really so will plod on!!

im loving the new Keto book as well ( although not the broccoli and ginger soup which ended up down the sink!!). I love the fact that my boys can eat the same as me with rice/ potatoes to bulk it out and they’re enjoying the food too.

eggs are my friend atm!! I do have to have tea with milk, hoping that’s not doing too much damage to my fasting!!

sorry for long post and good luck everyone!

Hi @Holidayqueen1 ! I think lockdown was such a tough time for everyone wasnt it. Really thought I would get to grips with exercising etc as had more time... I didnt!

Weigh day today, another 2lbs gone. Admit I was expecting more, but as I haven't been to "the loo" properly for a week (sorry TMI) so am obvs v v constipated, I will take that!! Even took a Ducolax last night, and black coffee this morning, but nothing doing 😂there will be a cry of "here she blows" soon I hope!

Hope everyone has a great day 😊

Hey everyone

welcome @Holidayqueen1. hope everyone’s ok? Sorry I’ve been quiet had a few days off for my little ones birthday with a million different plans with different family members. Gosh after eating normal food for a few days I feel yuck and can’t wait to jump back on today! Even just desperate for more water! You can’t underestimate how nice it feels to be in ketosis!!

@JRsTornadoOfLove and @MissCherryCakeyBun great weight losses so far!! Hope the laxatives have worked now 🤞🤞 then you’ll be even lighter next week no doubt!!

Well after 16 days of 800 cals a day, I ruined it this evening! 1st time I have caved and had cake X2 and chocolate raisins but as my tum problems are still ongoing hopefully it will kickstart something in there 😂

Think I needed a bit of a break, back to it full steam ahead tomorrow. Still doing 8k - 10K steps a day so am pleased with that.

JRsTornadoOfLove · 31/01/2023 09:20

Hi all , how is everyone doing?

I have found it hard to eat 800 cals a day. Not sure why. Just have no appetite. Not even craving chocolate - words that I never thought I would say. Is this normal?

Am fasting for 20hours, then have a cup of Bovril and a babybel at 3pm, then a meal at 5.30pm and sometimes if I can be bothered greek yog, berries and nuts to take it to 750/800. Am still doing 10k steps a day.

Weigh day today and have lost 4lbs this week. So 12lbs in 3 weeks. Hoping for the stone by Friday!

ANP2020 · 31/01/2023 13:26

Hey @JRsTornadoOfLove wow 4lb loss is amazing! And a total of 12lbs is amazing!! Well done! Sounds like you’re in proper ketosis if you don’t fancy anything at all!

all ok here I’m 18lb down now from my start weight! (Yes I broke my rule of not weighing for 12 weeks). Still plodding on but I’m not doing as well as you with the cravings! I’m having mega sweet cravings, I could devour a cake or chocolate right now! But I’m pushing through for the greater good 🤣🤣 we’re going out for a planned dinner on Thurs so will be doing it a bit looser then! let’s just say I’ve had a lot of early nights to stop the cravings!!

Im still playing around with the new keto book and made the granola which is lovely and I’ve also just made the green protein wraps with a curried chicken filling also lovely! So I think changing the menu a lot it keeping it fresh and exciting

Well done @ANP2020 18lbs is amazing! Isnt it great to have a WOE that actually works. Am so hoping it carries on for me as usually my body gets used to less and less calories and adapts = stops losing the weight.

Those recipes sound great. Ive only got the Fast 800 book so will see if google comes up with anything. The Chicken casserole is very tasty, even DCs are loving it!

MissCherryCakeyBun · 01/02/2023 06:33

Wow at the 18lbs that's amazing 🤩.
I'm now 1stone down from my start a month ago. So I'm very happy 😃

JRsTornadoOfLove · 01/02/2023 09:39

Fantastic @MissCherryCakeyBun a stone in a month! My month ends 10th Feb (not that I am counting...much!) and really hoping I dont sabotage things before then. Always my problem.

If I can keep it going to 12 weeks I should reach my goal of 2.5stone loss

Let's do it together, that's my first goal and then I'm going to go up to 1200 cals a day from the rest of March and April then back to 800 again for 12 weeks. I would like to have another 3 1/2 off by September when I got on my much delayed honeymoon

JRsTornadoOfLove · 02/02/2023 22:33

Sounds like a great plan - definitely joining you in that! I feel so much better already and generally sleeping well too which is a great bonus for me.

JRsTornadoOfLove · 07/02/2023 08:32

Weigh in today! How is everyone doing? I am back into it after a slight cake and chocolate raisins are my downfall blip last week.

3lbs lost so that is 1stone 1lb in 4 weeks. Beyond thrilled with that.

Badgerloco · 20/03/2023 15:54

@ANP2020 how is it going? I have lost 2 stone 3 pounds since January- but I am in the gym 5 days a week too. Finding this a lot easier to stick to that I imagined. I lost both my parents last year, so I’m taking some time out of the workplace to work on myself as I was heading for a breakdown.
