Fast 800 diary - lots to loose

Hello

So I’ve had a rocky few months with the death of a family member and a bit of a rubbish start to the New Year with a really bad chest infection and the loss of our little Guinea Pig!

BUT I’m finally starting to feel better from the antibiotics and I’m ready to start my New Year’s resolutions all be it a week late haha!

so I have a lot to loose I’m talking maybe 7-8 stone if I was to get to where the BMI scale says I should be! But I’m not going by that I’m just hoping to get to where I feel happy and healthy! I’ve never been that thin!

im also trying for our second child and we’ve not fallen pregnant yet been well over a year! I’m waiting to see the fertility specialist but I’m convinced it’s my weight stopping me ovulating. I was 4 stone lighter when I fell pregnant with my first son!

so that’s my why! Ive chosen the Dr Mosley fast 800 method did it last year and love the WOE and it’s so easy to stick to! I lost 2 stone last year but have quickly regained some due to the bereavement and Xmas!

so I start tomorrow! I’m going to be doing a 12 week challenge for myself! But the biggest part of it is I’m going to not weigh myself for 12 weeks! (If I can stick to it) I become a bit scale obsessed!

if anyone wants to join me in a bit weightloss journey! U don’t have to be doing fast 800! Please feel free but I’m going to document my days here just for somewhere to write.

So far today I have had
100g Fage Greek Yogurt 100 cals
25g keto hana granola 95 cals
Coffee with 1 teaspoon cream 30 cals

Small keto roll 75 cals
1 egg 75 cals

Total 375 cals

so will use the rest for loads of chicken for tea as really hungry today. Wont reach 10k but should get to 8k which I am pleased with as very tired.

2lbs lost! How is everyone else doing?

I'm doing Ok today, so far I've had a small peperami, an apple, a piece of cheese and then a cheese omelette with chilli beetroot on the side for lunch.

I am having pizza tonight and I'm very excited about that, it's the first time I've cheated since 3rd of January. I'll go back to 800 cals tomorrow. And I'm doing dry January so no wine with it.

Good day for me. Ham salad and some fruit for lunch. Bolognaise with broccoli and asparagus for dinner. 712 calories in total.
Cycled to and from work. I can still feel the burn in my thighs from the hills.

Today for me was Exante milkshake caramel Latte for breakfast and exante mushroom soup for lunch both 200 cals each and for dinner I've just chopped up loads of veggies and roasting them with dry Cajun seasoning and some fennel and caraway seeds 400 cals a serving at the most so bringing me in at 800 for the day.
Got to do my online food shop tonight so it's going to be mountains of veg 😂

Today's culinary delights have been

125 grams Fage yog - 125 cals
25 grams granola 90 cals
1 teaspoon cream in coffee 25 cals
1 light babybel - 50 cals

245 grams chicken breast 400 cals
cup of mashed swede 80 cals? not sure
broccoli 20 cals
teaspoon of butter 34 cals
slice of salami 31 cals

Total - 851 which considering I am so hungry I could eat the whole lot again, is pretty good for me today.

I ended on 1000 cals but that’s fine. Weighed though and I’ve lost 8.8lbs so that’s good.

enjoying seeing everyone’s foods sounds lovely!! @AngryGoblin how
was the pizza! We are out tomorrow for dinner, really looking forward to it! It’s Indian street food! Going to stick to the plan during the day but just enjoy the meal there and then hopefully jump back on (it can be my downfall sometimes if I go out’ but I’m going to try and keep away from anything sweet then hopefully won’t end up feasting on loads!

so todays menu has been all from The MM new keto book. I had spinach and harissa paste and yoghurt mixed with seeds and topped with eggs for breakfast. Then lunch I had a warm kale salad with bacon, mushrooms and goats cheese it was lovely! Then for dinner tandoori chicken with raita with a side of cauliflower covered in franks hot sauce and cooked in the oven it was delicious! Highly recommend his new recipe book if you’ve not got it!

wish me luck for jumping back on after my meal tomorrow

I’m the opposite, I weight every day and think that’s more useful and encouraging. Also as weight goes up and down slightly during the week and cycle, weighing once a week could catch the wrong way. I know most places say don’t weight daily but for me it’s far more accurate and helps keep me on track and accountable.

I think weighing daily is much more useful as it shows the fluctuations and teaches you not to freak out about them.

@TravelWeDo i totally get that! I used to weigh everyday too but became a bit obsessed and wasn’t quite strong enough to deal with it if it hadn’t moved or had gone up a bit! If I could deal with that better I’d be right with you daily weighing.
So this time I’m not weighing at all for the 12 weeks and just focusing on better habits! Hopefully that’ll work for me this time 🤞🤞

@MrsDoyle351 DS always has scrambled eggs for breakfast, so they just go in the pot!

yesterday was ok for me! I worked 8-8 so was happily distracted bath the hubby ended up eating at his parents which threw me off a bit as he’d normally cook when I do a long day and I Heat it up. He said they’d made enough for me but I didn’t want to break, so managed to make a salad with some eggs when I got home.

plodding on nicely for now, one week down and still feeling pretty motivated so that’s really good. Feel a lot flatter as well and less bloated! How’s everyone else?

Well I never thought I could go 20 hours without eating and not be chasing after the neighbourhood dogs with a fork!

Went from 6.30pm Sunday to 2.30pm today fasting.

Then had
small keto roll with Babybel - 160
slice of pepperoni 35
cucumber 10

swede 85
brussel spouts 50
10 oz steamed chicken breast 350

Total - 680 plus 10k steps.

Will have some berries and greek yog to make it up to 800

Weigh day tomorrow!

all ok here plodding on! Felt a bit hungry yesterday but pushed through! Yesterday I had yoghurt, blueberries and mixed seeds, then Caprese salad, then some Turkey burgers with cauliflower baked in franks hot sauce! Really nice!

Oooh those turkey burgers sound nice @ANP2020 ! Was it a recipe from the book or your own one? Can just imagine one in the keto rolls with a slice of cheese 😋

6lbs off here! So pleased and relieved to see that gone. 1st week done and dusted and for the first time before a weigh in I actually didnt want to self sabotage. Hope it continues!

im still going strong and plodding on!! Today had yoghurt and blueberries for breakfast. A green bean and feta salad for lunch, then tandoori lamb chops and veg for dinner all very lovely!

my sons 5th birthday this week so lots of celebrations! His actual birthday on Monday and we’re going out for dinner, so that’ll be nice but likely will involve a slice of cake 🤦🏽‍♀️ x

Hi all, weighed today after a weekend away ( my DD birthday today) and another 1lb off so now at 10lb since I started just under 3 weeks ago. I'm not expecting huge losses each week as 40 years of yo-yo dieting hasn't done my metabolism a lot of good and also my cocktail of meds for a heart condition & diabetes make loss slower.
Will weigh again tomorrow as Tuesday is my " official " weigh in day.

How did the weekend go for you all?
