I can’t believe I let myself get to this weight

I’m 5’7, always hovered around 10 stone 12 - 11 stone 3, had a baby in June this year and was 14 1/2 stone at 40 weeks.

After baby I got down to 12 stone 8 and been too tired to diet, weighed myself today and I’m now back up to 13 stone.
diet has to start tomorrow, I’m in shock. I’m the biggest I’ve ever been and feel disgusted. I let myself go over Christmas knowing I was already really overweight.

weighing myself on Boxing Day probably wasn’t the best idea…

more of a rant post than advice, I know what I need to do, I’ve just been so bad at it. The scales has really given me a kick that I need to do something now.

anyone else in the same boat?

Yep....I swapped an active on my feet job, to a desk job and boy have I paid the price. I currently weigh 13.8 and im totally ashamed of myself. Im bursting out of my size 16 jeans and have a proper muffin top, even my bras dig in leaving marks 😥

It’s so hard isn’t it :(
I was actually more active when I was pregnant than now because my baby is such hard work sometimes it’s hard to even leave the house. I need to get my steps in as a minimum!

Yep and the worst thing is I've just watched it happen. I WFH 3 days a week and just swap my desk chair for the sofa so I've made my desk a stand up desk and bought a mini stepper with the aim of doing 10,000 steps a day. I started on Thursday and did 300 ......clearly 10,000 is totally unachievable 🤣🤣

Same! I had a baby last June and my weights just slowly creeped up. I feel like I have zero time or energy for anything, even cooking.
But I’ve got to a point now where I absolutely cannot stand the sight out myself so it’s time to sort my shit out and lose the weight. I’m hoping to lose 2 stone by June and plan to be really strict with myself! Good luck to you 🤞🏻

Feel free to join us on the Lardy thread

www.mumsnet.com/talk/weight_loss_chat/4704551-less-lardy-part-2

It’s an ongoing thread but newcomers all welcome. Don’t need to follow a particular diet. I have lost 7kg since late September by just cutting down wine and snacks.
