Hi everyone

Thought i'd start this thread to try and give and receive some motivation to do some exercise at home.

I need to get off my enormous behind and actually do some exercise now that the conservatory has been set up with a TV and video/DVD player. I also have a step and weights too and it has been known for me to actually get very fit by doing my Step videos and using my hand weights a few years ago!

I haven't exercised for bloody months and months - probably at least 18 months. DD is now nearly 9 weeks so it's about time i started to get into shape, even just a little. My doctor told me i couldn't diet because i'm BFing but i most certainly can stop buying the choc chip muffins that i buy every day!

So basically i'm not dieting as such, just trying to cut out all of the crap food i've been eating lately, and to do a bit of exercise too.

Oh and in case you are wondering, I have 7 stone to lose. Yikes. A mountain to climb, but i'm doing to do it in baby steps, particularly as I will be TTC DC3 at the end of the year!

So far I have the following DVDs/Videos:

Cher - A New Attitude (dont laugh! It's a good basic step work out!)

Keli Roberts Step Video, the title of which escapes me at the mo, but she is the trainer in the Cher video.

Karen Amen - Crunch abdominal video (VERY good!)

Billy Blanks - Tae Bo 1 DVD. Also a very good DVD because the work out only lasts 25 minutes so you are more likely to be able to fit it in during the day. Although the work out is short and sweet, it seems to condition you very quickly.

I love step aerobics so would love any recommendations anyone has for new workout DVDs or Videos, from basic to advanced.

Please help with your support and I will do the same for you!!

I have tried Jacksmybaby but my tummy is so swollen and cramped that it is difficult. All I want to do is curl up and feel sorry for myself.

RGPargy · 05/03/2008 11:26

Well done, jacksmybaby!!

I did it!!! I got my step out this morning and did some exercise!!

I'm very proud of myself but also very disappointed because i only got to do 20 minutes before DD woke up from her nap demanding a feed.

Still, some is better than none, i suppose!

Well done RGPargy.

If you are really short of time, this DVD may be what you are looking for. I did it this morning and it is great. It has 5 x 10 minute cardio sections so you can do as many sections as you please. So if you can only manage 10 minutes, this will help you work up a sweat, especially the Power Blast section which is really intense.

Oh great, thanx for that. Fairly cheap too!

On Thursday I did the Pump it Up Vol4 DVD and this morning the Pump workout on Davina's 3x30 minute DVD.

Hope everyone is still motivated, especially as the weather is improving.

Well done Spokette!!

I wouldn't say the weather is improving - it's meant to snow on Sunday!!
