Page62 · 24/01/2008 07:38

this is the website www.golower.co.uk
madamblackberry, happy to form a little support group!
I have been on it for 5 days, sadly not seeing any massive changes yet (heheh, i am very impatient) - the food is quite nice and i'm not too hungry. it does suit my lifestyle. i really am hoping i could stick to this one.

ok........I will order it today and start at the weekend.

Ive got at least 3 stone and probably 4 to lose .

What do you drink with it ?

I am very busy at work and just don't have time to shop for food or plan for meals. My nanny feeds the children during the week so it seems perfect for me.

I have had success when I cut out carbs before though I am suprised you can eat 1500 cals a day and still lsoe a stone a month but there you go.

Page62 · 24/01/2008 09:24

i have just been drinking loads of water.
i have decaf skinny coffee as well (i know, i know, i call it my what's the point coffee).
you can't have juice etc as it has lots of sugar (even tho it's natural)
I have aournd 2 stone to lose.

Good luck and i'll let you know how i get on.
I am hoping the fact that AF came during this week is reason i haven't lost any weight!!!

Has anyone suceeded on this diet, just thinking of starting as nothing else seems to be working and want to try low GI diet. thought if everything was done for you saves buying naughty things when going shopping. (hmm)

jen0155 · 16/03/2008 10:03

Hi guys, did you stay on go lower? I'm thinking about ordering it but really struggling to find genuine reviews on the diet. Has it worked for you?

Seismic · 16/06/2008 16:10

Hello everyone, this is my first post on here since signing up, but like a lot of people have been trying to find out what people think of the Go Lower diet. I've been on it nearly two weeks now and it's a revalation to be honest. In my first week I lost six pounds, wasn't hungry and the fact that the food was there already and I didn't have to hunt round for things to nibble seems to be working for me. I have my second weigh in tomorrow, but even if I haven't lost any weight, my clothes are starting to feel loose. Would say to anyone give it a go (if funds will allow, its really expensive I think).

Kewcumber · 16/06/2008 16:12

Page62 you can;t possibly have 2 stnie to lose unless you keep it in a handbag next to you.

stickytape · 16/06/2008 20:25

I tried it and really didn't like it, but everyone is different. I found I had very little energy compared to my balanced low-cal diet, and I didn't lose any more weight. So I stopped it and switched to a different plan and I have more energy for my workouts. I also found the food to be a bit acidic.

That said, i have a lot of it left over so I'll probably just go back on it at some point.

Hello, I am on www.weighttogo.com, another delivery diet. I have been on it now for 2 weeks and have lost 7 lbs!!
I really like the fact there is a real person at the end of the phone when you call, and she is very knowledgeable as well as supportive. Is anyone else out there on this diet?

cantchatforlong · 25/06/2009 12:47

I have been on the Go Lower diet for a week now. (I've about 3-4 stones to lose.) I had my unofficial weigh in today and I have lost 61/4lbs. (They don't seem to be too concerned about your weight, more in reducating your eating habits.) I am very happy with that.
The food is all provided for you including snacks: proper chocolate brazils (but only 2/3 for a day) and tasty nut bars - will provide extras at no extra cost. The luches are soups but thick soups full of flavour not watery dish water. The evening meals include pork strogonoff, chicken chasseur, beef bourgingnon etc. All are very tasty and in quite generous portions. Go Lower provide recipes for veg. including cauliflower cheese which can be eaten with these and I have genuinely not felt hungry after perhaps the first day, (when I obsessed about food!) The foods that have to be avoided are those containing carbs and sugars because the diet is low GI and based on losing weight through ketosis so no potatoes, pasta, rice, pastry, cakes etc. There are still plenty of things that can be eaten though. I was quite surprised. There is also access to very knowledable and helpful staff, including the founder, by phone. The only down side to the diet that I have found is that it is very expensive. I think it has cost £50 a week and you have to buy at least two weeks worth up front. If you factor in the amount that you would normally be spending on food and snacks it doesn't seem so bad. I haven't got money to waste but it is the only diet that I have felt that I could stay on quite happily for a long time and I really want to lose my weight. All in all I recommend this diet to anyone with enough money to invest in their weight loss.

Hi All,

just thought I would share my experience.

was a fat child, fat teenager and sometims fat adult.

Have been doing high protein diet for years, on and off.

This diet really works. Follow it exactly...no cheating, only cut out ALL sweetners too. The body cannot deal with chemicals and so thinks that zero calories are sugar, the body then releases insulin and this is what has caused my cravings.Hence the reason I have never sustained my weight loss.

Good luck.

Sara ( about 35 stone lost over a 30 year period )

Have been on Go lower for 5 weeks and so far lost 18Lbs without feeling hungry! I am so pleased with it and recommend anyone to give it a go.
I find the cost fine as was spending so much money in the past of crap high sugar foods and in a constant spiral of sugar cravings.
Well doen everyone who is on,I have a further 4 plus stone to go but this time I think I will do it

mummymels · 01/03/2010 23:13

I can vouch for this too. I have been on Go Lower since October and have so far lost a whopping 62lbs. I have never been very good at keeping to diets in the past but this one is so easy and I don't feel hungry at all.

simmo39 · 04/03/2010 22:00

How is everyone getting on? I have just had another delivery of food today - looks yummy!

mummymels · 04/03/2010 22:35

Ooh yummy, it's always nice when you get a new delivery isn't it.

Getting on fine here thanks and hope you are too.

simmo39 · 24/03/2010 23:04

Just bumping to see how everyone is getting on? Into week 8 now and have lost 28 1/2 lbs. Any other success stories?

mummymels · 31/03/2010 22:41

That's brilliant Simmo, you must be feeling great.

I've now lost a total of 64.5 lbs since October. The last few weeks have really slowed down though. The last 3 weeks I have lost just half a pound each so I am going to start making more of my own low carb meals now rather than just the Go Lower meals and see what happens.

mummymels · 14/04/2010 22:49

Just thought I would see how everyone are doing? I am now starting to make more of my own foods which is quite exciting.

SR248 · 21/04/2010 11:19

I've just started Go-Lower this week & feeling really rubbish, I'm not really hungry but I'm having monster headaches & feeling extremely weak. My husband's doing it too & he doesn't seem to be struggling half as much! I was wondering if it is because I did Lighter Life about 3 years ago & my body is finding ketosis more difficult??!? How did everyone else find the side effects?? Do they go away?
