Got two (probably more like 2.5) stone to lose, rejoined a gym today and I'm planning on doing strength training and swimming . Normally hate exercise and love unhealthy food so I need some company to help keep us going!

Me 🙋🏼‍♀️ I want to loose about 1.5 stone. Have an 8 week old baby and put on quite a bit in this pregnancy and had some to loose beforehand. Trying to combine at home workouts when I can fit them in with waking. Unhealthy snacks are my downfall too, especially at the moment being easy to grab and not loads of time to prepare things.
Trying to more focus on dropping into my pre pregnancy clothes and toning up rather than the actual weigh. Do you have a target date @Mommaoftwo2 ?

I'm in. Weighed this morning 10st 12.

I have lost a stone and a half recently but the last few weeks I've lost me way and put half a stone back on.

I started at 12st 4 at the end of march.

I need to get back on it, but feeling really unmotivated.

Sorry I haven't had chance to reply, I've been out all day! Congratulations @bez91 on your baby and well done @sohosoho on the weight loss you've had already that's brilliant! I went to the gym yesterday for the first time in years and I can barely move today Grin
I'm currently at 11.11 stone and want to get down to 9 stone or just below. I'm only 5 ft so the extra weight really shows and I'm desperate to get rid of it.
I'm struggling to find ideas of health recipes though as I need something that I can make for the whole family so I'm not cooking two different meals all the time!

I'll join you. I'm 5ft 1 and 11 st 8 so similar stats to you Mommaoftwo2. My target is 9 stone but I'd be happier if I was 8st7 again. I joined Slimming World on Wednesday as I need accountability.

I'm eating 2 meals a day of protein and vegetables and hoping so much for a loss this week to spur me on. I'm far far far happier when I'm slim and I'm determined to get back there.

Hi @banabak Smile. I've done slimming world a few times now and I do really enjoy the recipes but I just can't seem to stick at it. I'm trying a different approach this time of just doing lots of exercise and trying to count calories. Hoping I can stick to it this time!! Shall we all set a weigh in day each week to help us keep accountability?

@banabak feel you on the happier whilst slimmer and being short it's hard to carry extra weight I feel without looking massive.
Im the heaviest now I've ever been, pregnancy wasn't kind to me 😆
Calorie counting I find is good, I use MyFitnessPal. Is that what everyone else uses?
I bought some smart scales off Amazon about a year ago which link to an app on your phone. They were about £25 but it tracks on a graph your weigh ins which is super helpful and also body fat, BMI etc

Will be doing this through exercise and eating well.

I’m up for this, I need some accountability. Trying to conceive and need to lose some weight. Going for a stone to start with as I’m not sure more than that is realistic for me. I want to start swimming again and I’m planning on using my fitness pal to count calories. My downfalls are crisps and portion sizes!

Weighed in at my heaviest this morning, 12.4! I lost 2 stone in the lockdown and I’ve put it all back on again plus more. I’ve vowed to stop eating crisps (2/3 packets) every night on the sofa.

Morning, sorry I haven't posted since I joined. I did say that I was feeling really unmotivated 😄

I've eaten loads the last couple of days so probably now weigh more. Anyway, I'm going to try harder today. I need to get back into it.

How's everyone doing?

@sohosoho am doing ok but my mental health has been poor for the last few weeks so it’s harder to stay focused. But I am determined so it’s all good!

do you think you can get back on track today again?

today I will have soup for lunch, fruit for a snack and I’ll have chicken and veg for dinner. Lower carb works best for me when I am trying to lose weight.

@Strangerthings4NW yes I'm feeling a little more positive today so fingers crossed. I'm fine once I get going, but starting is sometimes impossible for me.

I felt so much better in myself when I was being good and losing weight. I've been caught back in the trap of scoffing loads of chocolate recently and I'm not feeling great.

I went for a long walk today but not enough to combat the food eaten.

I think I need to cut down on the carbs as they don’t help with the sugar highs and lows.

I finally managed a fast day yesterday for the first time in a very long while!

Just weighed in 3lbs down so am happy with that.

Going to aim for a swim today & will try to keep on the salad!

Can I join too? Need to lose 2 stone in the next year. Sounds a long time but it'll go so quickly. Need accountability (and support). Tried SW in the past and found the discipline of the weekly weigh ins really helped.

@Romanmum, SW accountability and weekly weighs in are what I need too. Will you go back to a group? I'm weighing in tonight at 7. I'm nervous about it as I've not tried to lose weight when I've been perimenopausal and I don't want to be discouraged if I haven't had a loss this week (but I'll be massively disappointed!)

I have good and bad days, generally revolves around my stress and sleep levels! 8 week old slept ok last night so in a good place today, yesterday I had a couple of hours sleep so that showed in the food I ate, must try and change that mindset when low on energy!
Think I'll weigh in on a Sunday, my goal is just to feel better in myself and fit back into my pre pregnancy clothes asap!

First weigh in and 3lbs down. What a relief! I've worked hard this week and I needed a good start to boost me on. Hopefully this week will be a bit easier as I've got some new habits so I won't need to think about each and every food decision.

Sleep deprivation and stress make everything so much harder, that's when I reach for the carbs and then more carbs. Hope you get some sleep in @bez91 and a gentle start to getting back in your pre-pregnancy clothes.
