I’m starting my Saxenda journey today! Anybody else on Saxenda with tips or success stories? I have about 10 stone to loose so a long way to go.

@ThemysteriousH unfortunately Saxenda stopped working for me after around 2 stone weight loss. I’m under an nhs dietician and she said there are currently studies going on as a lot of people are saying it does loose its effectiveness after around the 9 month mark.

Ooh that's really interesting because that seems to be the case with me after 8ish months! I lost 3st but have put another 7ish lbs back on. I'm not taking it as religiously as I was before though and have just ordered another 5 pens but this will be the last if I don't get back to how I was doing before.

@Hiccups1 thank you so so much for getting back to me, I’m on day 1. Been waiting 3 years to see the tier 3 team (with Covid etc) so bought it privately :(
had been reffered for bariatric surgery but I changed address and missed an appointment so had to be re reffered - I’d gone through the lengthy process was just awaiting the surgery. Absolutely gutted.

Ive probably 10+ stone to lose :(

@ThemysteriousH oh gosh that is devastating! It really is a lengthy process so I can’t imagine how fed up you must feel having to start again! It’s a good tool for a few months or however long it’s effective for, so if you can pay for it privately I’d recommend it at least until you can get it from tier three.
@drinkallthecoffee yes that’s what happened me. I’ve tried taking a break and restarting several times since but it just seems to have no effect anymore which is a shame.

@Hiccups1 yes I’m going to try saving up privately, I’m torn weather to save the money instead of injections so I can have the surgery
