I am not joining any clubs but will be loosely following WW.

Need to cut out the alcohol, crisps, cheese and chocolate (not totally) .

I would love some company. Will try to log on everyday to keep up with anyone who joins me but I do work full time so please dont be cross if I dont reply quickly!!!

I am really down right now about the way I look and would love to share my joys/lows with others - speak soon x

Oooh both lovely ideas! I think I may try yours Ags, this time around.

I'm still dumbfounded that i've lost 11lbs in 2 weeks!!!!

I'm sure I'll come crashing back to reality next week.

3andnomore · 20/01/2008 23:36

11Ibs in 2 weeks...wow....you must tell me your tricks!

Ags · 20/01/2008 23:37

Oh my God! I didn't see what your weight loss was last week so didn't know that you had lost that much. That is amazing. Now I am even more jealous and definately less pleased! No, keep positive, next week you will be even more excellent but due to the nature of things might not lose as much. Have you got much to lose? I have tonnes (probably quite literally!). Much more than 3 but less than 9 (just).

Veviviqv · 20/01/2008 23:50

According to WW - 6st 4lb

I'm looking to lose 4 - 4.5 stone.

Veviviqv · 20/01/2008 23:53

Well, 6st 4lb, less 11lb is.....5st 7lb!!!!

or by my target I need to lose 3st 3lb to 3st 10lb!!!! Wow, that sounds much more impressive now

Eddas · 21/01/2008 07:41

Well i've weighed in. Am 2lbs less so that's good. Will be trying hard again this week. I guess if I can lose 2lbs a week that's a stone in 7 weeks which means in 6 weeks ime I might fit into smaller clothes Trying to convince myself I think!

Actually, I think once i've lost half a stone I might be able to fit comfortably in the next size down which will mean I have more to wear ATM I am wearing about 4 pairs of trousers and jeans in total which is not ideal but I refuse to buy more in the bigger size, it's been like this since ds was born(9months ago) infact I was wearing maternity stuff for about 3 months after his birth, so had to buy bigger stuff

Anyway i'm going on a bit! So how did everyone else do?

PerkinWarbeck · 21/01/2008 08:17

Eddas, VVVQV, well done! Excellent and deserved losses.

I, on the other hand, have not lost a single ounce.

let that be a lesson to you all!

thinness does not this way lie.

I have menu planned this week though, and will not be buying puddings, apart from youghurts.

Here goes......

silkcushion · 21/01/2008 08:19

well done eddas - a stone is usually a dress size! I reckon I need a stone and a half to drop a dress size cos I'm squeezed into my size 20s at the moment.

weigh in - 5lbs strange though cos I'd lost that by wed morning and nothing since.

VVV - great loss in a fortnight. doesn't matter if it slows - pyschological benefits of being nearly a stone lighter must help with motivation. yr damn right about getting to the end of the day with points to spare and realising you don't need them. I've eaten things this week just to use them up - assumed it was bad to eat too little. This week if I'm not hungry I won't eat.

silkcushion · 21/01/2008 08:21

PW - at least you didn't gain so you obviously didn't eat as badly as you imagined. good luck this week

Eddas · 21/01/2008 08:28

PW, glad you're not giving up. At least you know why you haven't lost anything, BUT at least you didn't gain anything. Lets hope this time next week you have a bit of a loss.

Silkcusion, WELL DONE, great loss I think i only need half a stone loss to get into the next size down as my current size is quite loose but the smaller one far too snug I'm talking bottoms here as it's my butt that's the size of Great Britain My top half's not too bad when you discount bingo wings and the baby wobble

CayKon · 21/01/2008 08:45

Had a very very bad weekend. My very thin personal trainer sister and her very fit husband stayed for the weekend. Went to a chineese buffet. obviously with all that food had to eat until I felt sick! Sister and BIL also ate alot so made me feel better but they had to go to the gym on the way home!

So I am please that managed to lose 1 lb. VVV and caykon you give me hope - congratulations!

Veviviqv · 21/01/2008 10:33

I'm not doing too badly. I think the sheer volume of food was bulking my weight up, let alone the fat I was storing. I have realised, having had a take-away pizza last week, and some crap stuff, that because I have eaten sensibly the rest of the time it didnt matter (too much!).

I will still be avoiding it. But I know it's no big deal to have it should the situation arise because I am eating 'normal' food the rest of the time.

I am very much wondering what will happen though when my points allowance drops in line with my weight....

(tis VVVQV btw...!)

Ags · 21/01/2008 10:39

Well done Caykon, Eddas, loler, silk. You have done so well. Perkin, well done for your great attitude! Go for it this week.

I have my weigh in tonight so lots of really light positive vibes please! Will post later on with the result! Fingers crossed.

mammyjo · 21/01/2008 11:15

Well done to all who have lost this week!! Fantastic news. PW, good to hear you are sticking with it too. I always find that I struggle to regain control after a blip, no matter how small the blip may have been.

I have had a good week. One day went over my points by 5, but have cut back on the other days to make up for it. Weigh in this evening for me >>

Oh, and just to really compound my knowledge that my arse is very large, I sat on the toilet seat last night and snapped it Dh found this highly amusing Thought it might make you smile on a monday morning to share that piece of info with you all!!

Veviviqv · 21/01/2008 12:08

AHhhhh mammyjo - I think we have all been there to some extent.

Most often, sitting on those daft plastic garden chairs and them either wilting under my weight, or standing up and finding them welded to my hips

silkcushion · 21/01/2008 12:39

Clearly the toilet seat was faulty mammyjo!

And I always pick the narrowest seat on an airplane too

And don't start me on my washing machine - it keeps shrinking my flippin clothes....

colditz · 21/01/2008 13:05

Shall I post my Very Satisfying Six Point Curry recipe?

Well done!1lb off is 1 lb gone.

The Curry

200g Quorn chunks (3 points)
100g Low fat Fromage Frais (1/2 a point)
50g Sushi rice (or rissoto rice would probably work) (2.5 points)

1 tin chopped tomatoes
1/2 a red pepper
The Ubiquitous Mushrooms
1 grated carrot
1/2 a beef oxo cube
A good dump of medium curry powder

Cook the rice as per instructions, and set aside.

Put all the point free ingredients into a large saucepan, and bubble gently with the lid on until everything is nice and soft

Add the quorn and the fromage frais.

Stir the rice into it, and simmer gently untiol heated through. Serve!

mammyjo · 21/01/2008 14:20

Well done lilibet! 1lb is fab, but I know what you mean about being disappointed if you were expecting more. It is still a great result though

colditz · 21/01/2008 14:24

You spend 4 months shifting a pound a week, and you'll be a stone lighter - and it's a stone that's less likely to creep back on too!

silkcushion · 21/01/2008 14:30

thx for the recipe - silly question coming up - where in the supermarket do you find quorn? I couldn't see it. Is it frozen? or in the chiller cabinets?

And totally agree re 1lb loss - that is what we will all be aiming for

colditz · 21/01/2008 14:38

Well i found some in the chiller, with all the vegitarian sausages and stuff.

I only bought it because it was cheap (short dated) - you do the same with chicken for another 0.5 points.
