So I have some 3 month goals and need accountability!

 1. 13 weeks until I go on holiday , lose a stone at least and get into exercise routine
 2. Pay off holiday and pay off debt also in 13 weeks
 3. Stop working extra hours
 4. Declutter

Anyone want to join with their plan?

Me!

 1. Lose 1.5 stone
 2. Pilates / yoga 3 times a week
 3. Declutter & sort DC clothes
 4. Have (another) wardrobe clear out

I don’t have a particular deadline but I need to make one. Say by July when we go on a UK holiday.

MistySkiesAfterRain · 24/02/2022 21:38

Hi @Llamasally we have similar goals!

How are you going about the weight plan? I think I need to write out a plan this weekend.

Llamasally · 25/02/2022 11:53

To be honest what I really need to do is go cold turkey on sugar. But I’m scared. I’m thinking of trying after pancake day 🙈 how about you?

MistySkiesAfterRain · 25/02/2022 17:20

Yes same here on sugar. I have been trying to cut down. Chocolate is my nemesis!

I have had some success using an app to log my food in the past. It's just a faff to enter so am going to try and enter the basics now.

Can I jump on? I will come up with a detailed plan later but need to:

 1. Lose one stone+
 2. Declutter
 3. Sort out admin- wills etc
 4. Get an exercise plan in place
MistySkiesAfterRain · 02/03/2022 11:11

Hello again and welcome @Readytostartagain

I can't promise to post regularly but I am very good at perserverance when I have a goal so I will always come back to post. What would everyone say are your strengths that will help you achieve your goals?

 1. I signed up to Gousto and Odd Box which although pricey will cost me less than preprepared food, and removes the time consuming meal planning. I also bought a laminated weight loss tracker chart on Etsy and have signed up to a swimming membership at my local pool which starts this weekend.
 1. I was planning to borrow more to pay off the holiday but in the end just paid it so am budgeting every penny this month. Still £100 to pay for the holiday. Made a debt repayment plan for to other debts.
 1. Erm
 1. I put aside a possible £100-£150 of things to put on Ebay, Vinted and Facebook Local this weekend and scheduled some household jobs. I also scheduled some low key social things as this will help keep me motivated.

@Llamasally it's after pancake day, how is the sugar detox plan going Grin

OP posts:
Hereforthedramaz · 02/03/2022 11:17

Hi
I'd like to join too!
My three month goals are:

 1. Lose 5kg
 2. Declutter house and finish diy projects
 3. Cycle small trips around my local city instead of using my car
 4. Create a garden allotment

Good luck everyone!

Llamasally · 02/03/2022 11:46

@MistySkiesAfterRain I have started! Feeling a lot more positive that I can do it. I skipped any bread based items I usually have for breakfast and to help. I’m adopting the approach of I can eat anything and as much as I like as long as not ultra processed/sugar. That I hope will make it more doable. I am going to have a bit of fruit and unlimited veg, protein, fat.

How’s are you doing?

I might weight myself tonight and post it here to keep me accountable- eeek

Llamasally · 02/03/2022 11:47

How not how’s

Llamasally · 02/03/2022 11:48

@Hereforthedramaz welcome! Like those 😊 I’m not good on kgs but that sounds doable

Hereforthedramaz · 02/03/2022 11:56
@Hereforthedramaz welcome! Like those 😊 I’m not good on kgs but that sounds doable
Thanks!

5kg is about 11lbs so hopefully possible!

I'm using MFP to log everything (although I haven't today so that's a good prompt!) plus I've started light running (c25k) and regular swimming.

A sweet tooth and snacking is always my downfall!

AnneButNotHathaway · 04/03/2022 08:07

Oh, I'm so in!!
My list goes like:

 1. Lose 4 kg
 2. Declutter
 3. Finish the Interior design 3d project I started for our house renovations
 4. Start the actual renovations
 5. Have my seeping schedule sorted out
 6. The last but not the least: cut the sugary drinks out!!
Llamasally · 05/03/2022 19:28

How is everyone doing?

RunningKatie · 05/03/2022 19:34

Joining in please!
In 2 weeks I've got a work event, then another in 3 weeks and 4 weeks etc.
I looked at myself earlier and from the side I resemble a barrel Blush

 1. Cut out toast and crisps, have homemade soup for lunch already have 4 pots in freezer
 2. Drink water
 3. Over 15k steps a day
 4. Start (and complete!) 30 day plank challenge
MistySkiesAfterRain · 05/03/2022 23:34

Hi, loving that everyone has about 4-6 goals. I think any more and it gets too much lol.

@Hereforthedramaz I like the sound of cycling and the garden allotment.

@Llamasally I defo agree cutting one thing works better, otherwise its a shock to the system!

Welcome newbies @RunningKatie
@AnneButNotHathaway

Loving Gousto and have lost half a pound but no swimming yet as came on a heavy period and have needed sleep! Next week though.

I found some savings in an account so I paid off some overdrafts, which was helpful.

I uploaded two things to sell online - I think I may have sold one already. It also takes ages to upload things.

Need to find my work mojo as that has been slipping.

MistySkiesAfterRain · 06/03/2022 23:53

So I became moderately obsessed today and need to stop! Switched my bills account to another bank just for the switch bonus. Slightly concerned though as realised this is the same account that I have just applied for my tax rebate to come into...hmmm...hoping that is quick as it says rebates take 5 working days and the switch takes 7 working days.

I also negotiated £50 off my mobile contract, though I am still being swindled. I also complained about an item I bought (long story but at the time I was either meant to receive an item or money and I got neither), I thought I had to write it off but they are hopefully sending me the £50 refund.

I uploaded a few more things to sell but it is soo time consuming! I have decided just to part ways with my robot vac as I have used it once and it got stuck under the sofa...it was second hand on ebay anyway, so hopefully that will sell. Easier to sell one big thing than lots of small things.

Also going to take some money out of savings to pay off overdraft, as the interest on the savings will be less than the interest I am being charged on the overdraft, but I have to go into the bank to do that next week.

I don't enjoy budgeting at all and want to move onto more enjoyable parts of my plan next.

How is everyone else going?

OP posts:
MistySkiesAfterRain · 06/03/2022 23:57

To summarise

 1. 13 weeks until I go on holiday , lose a stone at least and get into exercise routine - lost about half a pound but still early days.
 1. Pay off holiday and pay off debt also in 13 weeks - holiday is paid off and I should be debt free in 8 weeks.
 1. Stop working extra hours - must address this next week, or exercise plan won't work!
 1. Declutter - made a start on selling and had a good tidy up.

Hereforthedramaz · 07/03/2022 15:00

Wow great progress @MistySkiesAfterRain go you!

Btw where are you selling that's time consuming? If you haven't tried it yet I'd recommend Vinted, truly is very very quick to upload and I've been reasonably successful.

Llamasally · 07/03/2022 21:43

Feel like I’ve really turned a corner with the junk food, seem to be able to resist it better now! Still need muchos work on the rest but trying to focus on the positives 😁

MistySkiesAfterRain · 07/03/2022 22:10

Thats amazing @Llamasally!! You go keep it up!!

I think a lot of it is mindset. I'm just not breaking on what I am allowing myself 😂 That said during my period, I DID allow an extra bowl of cereal and a second cheese sandwich for lunch, and a small bar of dark chocolate but I was hungry and much better these than crisps, etc etc. I find sugar cravings are ok to control during the first half of my cycle. There is usually a midway point in the month where I feel really tired and want all the cheese - but a bit more yoghurt and cheese is okay. I think there is the boredom snacking too - I think its for oral stimulation and protein, so will go for nuts, carrots, raisins, celery - basically crunchy things in small amounts. I do have a huge chocolate craving but allow caçao powder only e.g. hot choclate, porridge oats, with no sugar. I am also adding small amounts of salt in my cooking which I actually never did - just a twist - this is helping control cravings for crisps. To be honest this is all a massive improvement from my bacon sandwiches, fried chicken wrap and fish and chips dinner that was my staple before.

Just take it one day at a time!

I have also broken down my goal. So goal is lose 2lb this week if I can.

Totally agree focus on the positives!!

MistySkiesAfterRain · 07/03/2022 22:15

@Hereforthedramaz Yes been using ebay where they ask about 50,000 questions and the photos are never the right way up!

I did try Vinted but it was soo slow to sell - I think I need to upload more and build up my rating. On Ebay I have 170 stars which helps.

Ooh my weight loss tracker also arrived in the post so will open that tomorrow.
