Does shifting half a tonne of half decomposed compost with a shovel and fork count as exercise, cos I hope so.

mylittlepudding · 13/01/2008 19:09

Discoverlife - definitely

Susie - what a tough time you've all had. My sister is dealing with her son (16 months) doing the crying for daddy thing - so tough. I'm sorry you are too and hope you are coping

Yes, polly, where are, you, don't say you've actually got a life and everything?!

little pudding has slept through 3 nights in a row now....

Today:
hot cross bun
quarter of a pizza and lots of green salad
some left over beef and red wine pie from last night, peas, pernod and lemonade.

not great. but not too bad.

currantbunmum · 13/01/2008 19:52

susiecutiemincepies · 13/01/2008 19:52

MLP Well done your little pud!!!! ( do you get the message??)

I really thought things had changed for good on that front when we moved here, but we've not had a full night since the second week I dont think.

discoverlife it HAS to be doing something lovely, it just must be! you cannot do that and not be burning calories... far more than if you wern't doing it!!!

katy thank you sweetie, it is sad, but, we'll get there. Izzy has been kissing the phone and blowing rasberries at daddy down it tonight. He's busy up in Sund. with his collegue, preparing for a presentation tomorrow. Seems there's alot of colouring in of diagrams and maps going on... I cant stop laughing at the thought of them, (both big real manly chaps) sitting on mr C's hotel bed, coloring in!!! Oh to be a fly on that wall!

Well, we had the fish cakes and wedges for lunch. Delicious.
Tea: I've had a yoghurt, orange juice and a cocktail sausage. didnt feel up to much.
Snacks: fruit today. and one choclate button, which ISobel put into my mouth, I couldnt help eating it

Keep it up girls, think thin!!!

PS MLP and KAty: I really might be up your neck of the woods, if we're not in sunderland, Manch is the other option. will let you know, if you fancy a coffee low fat of course, and a large slab of cake piece of fruit, somewhere. might be nice

MrsFish · 13/01/2008 21:08

Evening all. Not had a great day again.

B = 2 crumpets, flora light
L = (at MiL's) lamb, 2 roast potatoes, sugar snap peas, cauliflower and gravy, 2 jam tarts with custard, 2 glasses of fizz
T = 1 and a half toasted teacakes, small banana
S = 2 biscuits, options choc, pkt choc gems

Must do a good work out tomorrow to offset the extra calories.

pollywobbledoodle · 13/01/2008 21:14

Hi all
good to hear so many positives!
blooming real life is getting in the way of my MNing!

Have had a fair few social things and am also trying to find the house floor under all the piles of "stuff", "stuff that will be useful in the next year or so" , "stuff that may come in useful one day"....oh and rubbish (ie other people's stuff)

had a nice afternoon in the pub today, avoided the alcohol....however haven't avoided the stollen this eve

susie....is your hubby looking for a job or has he actually got one lined up? You need to lean on him a bit whilst he is so in touch with what he is missing, IMO.

mylittlepud well done the tiny pud...once you get a run of about a week breathe a quiet sigh of relief and never mention it to anyone again (or the spell will be broken!)

katy if lazy cooking+quick cooking then that is fine by me....very tasty that mushroom thingy everybody

today
1 toast with jam

vegetable fajitas with a bit of sour cream and guacamole
ice cream

pitta with salad
stollen
2 squares choc (will be 2 more in a minute

will tighten belt in the week.....

susiecutiemincepies · 13/01/2008 22:23

HI Polly. I dont know, RL hey? what a pain it is...

He's not looking actively. Has his name down with a few agencies. Who call from time to time. He was called about 2 jobs to go contracting, and basically do what he's about to do now. He felt it would be foolish to do them with out experience as if he messed up, he'd be replaced, he'd not have work, and those agencies would not find him work... IYSWIM? However, if he learns on on the job with his company now, he wont get the sack if it goes wrong for any reason.... so he's determined he needs to do this job in sunderland, as its the only thing he's not got experience of. once its done, he will literally be able to walk into anything, and manage it start to finish... it does make sense. but well, you know how it is here.

SO, i've had another portion of apple crumble and custard. comfort food hey it has made me feel better though, so i dont feel tooooo bad about it.

I agree though Polly, about leaning on him. He's not happy either, so i have a feeling he wont see this project through to the end though, just enough to learn what he needs

tangarine · 13/01/2008 22:31

Hi susie, how are you doing? Like polly real life is interfering with my posting too, but I am still trying to eat sensibly and shift the weight.

today: Special K red berries and milk
roast poussin (half), steamed carrots, broccoli, swede, leeks, mash and a couple of small roast pots, satsuma
half a small pack of raisins I found in my coat pocket while at cinema with ds2
bowl of cornflakes

I think of the katybumpers often!

discoverlife · 13/01/2008 23:55

So how much does shifting half a ton of compost equal. Does it wipe out the bacon toasty DH made me when I was explaining vulcanology to (volcano's) to DS2. This Home educating lark is interesting but can catch you studying volcanoes at 10pm. And now I am trying to find an educational video somewhere on line to show him.

MrsFish · 14/01/2008 08:19

I reckon it would cancel that out yes DL. Did you work up a good sweat and get out of breath? If so even better

katylessbumpy · 14/01/2008 09:59

what is this rl you speak of?surely mn is the only place to be lol
well i had another good day yesterday and actually made some soupit was yummyback to my lazy arse ways today though as i made extra to ding ha ha .
i don't feel like i've lost anything this week but i'm not weighing in until wednesday.

discoverlife all that shovelling will have burnt some calories, any excercise is good as long as it raises your heart rate.

i really wanted to go walking today but as usually for manchester it is raining.dd hates being under her rainsheet as she is so nosey so it's running up and down stasirs for me today.might try and do colleens dvd if dd has a nap anywhere else than on me
i'll be around today if anyone needs a kick up the bum.

it's only a few wekks til easter(and then another couple til my birthday eek!)
who's going to be slinky jessica rabbit instead of the chubby easter bunny???
WE ARE !!!!

My real aim is to be shopping in normal clothes shops by the end of the year. Not Evans or Bon Marche (mind you I like some of the stuff at Bon Marche). It would be nice to be able to buy some cheap throw away stuff at Primark.

discoverlife · 14/01/2008 11:11

Not really Katy It has crossed my mind a few times recently. Just had a few odd signs you know? But i shouln't be. Couldn't be really... well I could, well, you know what i mean!!! we are exceptionally careful. However, that said, we always have been and Isobel still appeared!!!

I've not missed AF or anything either. Perhaps i should do a test to jut put it out of my head again.

mrsfish well done!
currnatbun have some fruit, and some water or large mug of tea, and then clean your teeth...

currantbunmum · 15/01/2008 07:52

I will try the mushrooms, they sound lovely. I was feeling hungry because I was cold, don't know how, we had the heating on and a fire blazing away. So I made a hot drink and added a throw . Within about 15 mins I felt fine- no snacks!!

Thanks for all the suggestions
