Do you go to class ?
How long have you been doing it & how much have you lost ?

I am on my second week (weigh-in tomorrow). I go to a weigh and go class in the city in my lunch hour and have lost 8lbs so far. I miss going to an actual class though so am looking for some support on here.

Hello all, I've been skulking behind the bike sheds with the other long-term slimmers (only we've been talking about forbidden food not sneeking quick fags ).

Things are going really, really slowly with me. The scales are going up and down dramatically every week, even though I haven't been changing my eating habits wildly. So I've been looking at my rolling 4-week totals to get a more balanced idea of what I'm loosing, and it comes out to only 0.5 lbs a week on average. Hopefully that will get better soon as I've had a knee injury which is now clearing up and I can get back to exercising. I haven't even been walking up and down the tube escalators for the past few weeks, and that's pretty much the backbone of my exercise programme . (I think I should point out that Angel station has the longest escalator in Europe, so it does really get my heart going first thing in the morning.)

Don't worry Dior, they'll all be back once they starting booking their summer holidays and imagining themselves on the beach.

Evening everyone! Well done Dior - 39lbs is amazing! How long has it taken you?
Since November last year I have lost 11lbs. Definitely a step in the right direction, but how do you keep going in the long term as after a few months I always seem to lose interest.

eidsvold · 12/02/2005 11:58

have been posting but time is against me at the moment - put on 300grams this week - but expected it to be more than that..

marj · 12/02/2005 14:55

Hi everyone! I am really pleased. I went to class this morning and have lost 2lbs. That is now 13lbs in total - only 1 to go for my first stone!
I have done well this week, back to counting my points and being stricter with myself.

marthamoo · 12/02/2005 15:05

I'm still here too! Up and down and slightly lacking in motivation. OK, very lacking. I know you don't want to hear it while you're still heading for goal but maintaining is hard too I'm either still actively sticking to my 18 points or I'm going insane and eating like the world is ending tomorrow. Can't seem to strike a happy medium (or eat chocolate without feeling guilty!)

I haven't lost all the weight I put on over Christmas but I am still within my Gold parameters...just. Would like to shift the last 5lbs to get back to my pre-Christmas weight.

marthamoo · 12/02/2005 15:06

Dior - I only know you online, but I think you'd make a fab Leader. Go for it!

Yes - but that's what I mean: all or nothing. I need the 18 point days to counterract the 38 point ones.

It is me, moo, btw - just playing silly buggers.

SecondhandRose · 12/02/2005 15:40

Not disappeared, just usually post after my weigh in. I lost another 1.5lb this week making 13.5lb since the beginning of December. So next week I hope to be jumping up and down.

Our leader has set us a goal of another 7lb before Easter and I hope to beat that. She is a wonderful leader very motivating so if anyone is near Ware in Herts, give it a try.

I have just had jelly for lunch as we are having a chocolate fondue later so I need as many points as I can get!!

im still here, just not having a good time so not posted for a while!

i felt too much of a fraud to post as i really havent been sticking to it at all, i feel so crap about it, as i was doing so well at firdt, but since xmas it has all gone down hill. not to mention the last few weeks have been really crap at home with money/job/car problems, so i am feeling really depressed and just cant seem to get motivated. i havent weighed myself for 2 weeks as i am too scared to, as last imte i weighed myself i had put on 3lbs.

i have been trying to exercise, i have gym membership but i never seem to have time to go, and i keep tying to go for long walks with the pram, but it always seems to be chucking it don when i start to get redy!

anyway, dior i think you would make a fantastic leader, as you are always motivated, always willing to motivate everyone else, full of great tips etc, i really think you should go for it and have often thought that you would make a good leader while i have been spekaing to you on this thread - so good luck!

SecondhandRose · 13/02/2005 08:41

Fairycakes, sort it out! You can do it! It's all in your mind, it's nearly spring, think of all those lovely things coming in the shops to wear. Set yourself a little goal.

Get some stir frys with lean meat and a Blue Dragon sauce, you can eat loads for very few points. Some sugar free jelly with some fruit. If you do have a blow out then skip the next meal, you'll be surprised as you won't feel hungry.

You don't need to do loads of exercise, I don't. HTH.

i am sure you would get it dior if they can see what you are like and you are anything like you are on this thread.
thanks for the advice, i know i have to do it befpore it spirals out of control, i really must, but then i think, well its valantines day tomorrow and for once in a blue moon dp is taking me out for a meal and there is nothing low fat about the menu! i will just have to eat no point soup and sugar free jelly all day.......

xx

fairycakes · 13/02/2005 15:34

ps dior, i am doing it myself. i know it would be better to go to a club as it would keep me more motivated, but i just cant afford it at all! x

Ok, I started 4 weeks ago (will be 5 on Wed) and am doing no-count. I've lost 11lb so far. Still have another 2.5 st to go but not finding it too difficult at the moment. Find the no-count really easy as it doesn't seem too much like a diet, and seems to have stopped the cravings I used to have. I'm also trying to stick to low GI foods so I think that may be helping also. Not sure how well I've done this week as I've been out on 2 girls nights & it's my wedding anniversary today! Still, haven't gone mad on any of them so hopefully won;t be too bad. Also started at the gym but only managed 1 class per week so far - will try & step that up when I'm feeling fitter

bran · 14/02/2005 13:27

How much do leaders make Dior? I think you'd be great, enthusiastic but not too preachy. And I think it's really important that you've lost quite a good amount, I'd be less drawn to a leader who had only lost a stone or so.
